Theos went flying through the air a second time that day. He landed with a bounce from his back to his rump leaving him wincing in pain. Theos looked back to see nothing but a pile of sand with a tail and paw. He looked to his foe his fur bristling.
"You're mount is gone now pup. Now you face me alone. I have orders to bring you to Lord Stall. You'll make a fine slave."
"Got to kill me first," Theos said snarling. He approached the monochromon slowly ready to dodge should he try that attack again. He was waiting for it to make its move before leaping onto it aiming to rip out another eye. If he misses he'll rush close to its underbelly aiming for someplace between its armor. Hit or miss in either instance Theos would dodge away but not too far. ___
"You know...this war...in a way I'm thankful for it. Your nation hurt Ike very badly. Enough that he became a shell of a digimon. Unable to trust and scared of his own shadow. Someone like that...he had to endure so much. I started to fill his empty shell...but I could never give back what Scomparsa took. So...I've been presented with a unique opportunity to eliminate it. I will seek vengeance in his stead." Don snapped his fingers and standing at his sides were some of his units. Stegomon with their spines aimed on her. She could try to escape, but even she wouldn't be able to outrun a plethora of spines.
"I told you fighting me was your first mistake. You were trapped the moment Stall sent you on this mission. I thought this through to the very moment of your death and beyond. I knew he would seek to eliminate my men...I knew he would send you and Grey...I knew Grey couldn't resist a soldier like Cole...and I knew you would underestimate me. I knew how you would fight. I know you'll die and that it will destroy Dubal inside. I know it will make him fight irresponsibly and when that happens. Checkmate." Don narrowed his gaze on her.
"My only regret is that Kaa will hate me for killing you." Don raised his claw preparing to snap.
"Though I will let you die with a final request. Unlike you and your kind, I'm not a heartless worm. Is there anything you like to say? An apology for the pain your father caused might help you avoid hell."
Natalie gazed around her a low growl rumbling from every fiber of her being. She had no where to run or hide from the bombardment. Her eyes were narrowed at Don. He was just as bad as Stall using treachery and playing games rather than fighting out right. She scoffed.
"I dunno little boy. From where I stand you look pretty heartless. You need all these stegomon to take down one little girl? Shows how strong you are," she spat at the ground. "My words will probably mean nothing to a coward like you." She would not give him the satisfaction of seeing her broken. Because that is not what she was. She was princess first and foremost and she would be dignified to the very end.

"Got to kill me first," The Monochromon watched as the pup ran at him attempting to bite. The armored dinosaur moved his head away then quickly tried to bat Theos with his large muzzle. Not being quick enough, Theos escaped under its belly. The Monochromon felt Theos teeth in his soft belly, and he attempted to stomp on Theos as he was making his exit.
The Digimon would turn with a roar to face Theos, "Grand Fire!" He bellows, releasing a stream of sweeping fire at Theos. __
"I dunno little boy. From where I stand you look pretty heartless. You need all these stegomon to take down one little girl? Shows how strong you are," she spat at the ground. "My words will probably mean nothing to a coward like you."
Don shook his head, "I don't pretend for a second that I'm a warrior. I'm a bookworm and a scholar. Always have been...always will be. I know how to fight well and combine it with my intellect. Kaa is the strong one. Here's the thing about cowards princess...they tend to live to fight another day. Though it is sad that when presented with your own medicine, you turn to idle quips. I had hoped you'd show some honor in the end, but I guess that is too much for a Scomparsian in the end. Farewell princess."
Don snapped his fingers and soon the sky filled with metal spines. They nearly blotted out the sun as they rained down on top of her. Countless and bringing death, the Princess would soon be run through and Don's perfect plan completed. Though just as death was supposed to come to the princess, a familiar voice rang out.
"Sonic Slash Rain!" Don's eyes widened when he saw the stegomon's spines about to pierce Natalie deflected by the spines of his brother. Kaa stood, covered in wounds from his own fights. A spine of a Stegomon had slashed him in his arm, the blood running down and dripping to the desert. He held on to Natalie's shoulders, giving her a bright smile and a soft gaze.
"Are you okay?" Kaa asks trying to hide the pain of his gashed arm. Don glares angrily at Kaa and hisses. "Kaa! What are you doing!? She is the enemy!"
Kaa turned around, holding out his arms as a shield. "I can't let you kill her Don. She is important in saving Scomparsa." Don stomped towards him,
"You utter idiot! Do you understand that this is a war? She is your enemy! One of the stronger ones and can be detrimental in crippling Dubal! Get out of the way now!" Don roared.
Kaa stood firm glaring at his brother, "No...Theos told me to follow my instincts. They're telling me to protect this digimon with my life. So unless you're prepared to kill me too, I command you to stand down. She's beaten, there is no longer a need to kill her. She needs medical attention." Kaa explained.
Don's mouth began to spark, "I'm trying to save Coraggio! Who cares about Scomparsa! After everything they did! To Ike! To Jared! To our people!" Don yelled.
"Don't blame Natalie for her father and Stall. The people of Scomparsa are not to blame for the deeds of their royals! They're just as much victims as us! Or have you already forgotten? Ike is a Scomparsian! So if he is your friend, why do you seek to destroy his home town? Damn everyone but Ike? Everyone in that city is suffering like Ike did! He just had a dad who got him out!" Kaa yelled back.
Don took a step back shocked by Kaa's words, he had been fighting this much for just Ike. Kaa was right wasn't he? Ike was a Scomparsian...the enemy. He had been trying to destroy the city for him, but he never even asked if he wanted it saved. The realization weighed heavy on Don's mind. His aggression had subsided and he looked at Kaa. "You think she can save Scomparsa....but how do you know she isn't like Dubal?"
Kaa looked back at her and then down at the sand before looking to his brother, "I..I don't...but...I just have a feeling she is better." Don glared.
"I can't base our home on a feeling...I'm sorry...but...her death will bring a quicker end to the war. Dubal...Dubal will be easier to take care of." Kaa shook his head.
"You can't be sure of that." Don sighed at his brother, "I can because she spoke so highly of his affections for her. It wasn't hard to piece together what he would do if she died. Grey is her bodyguard after all."
"Taking advantage of a father's love and ripping it from him...that...that is terrible. Even for someone like Dubal...no one deserves that pain. Think of yourself and dad!" Kaa exclaimed.
Don shook his head, but their talking had lasted too long. A few Scomparsian soldiers were running to Natalie's aid. An Ankylomon and a Greymon, they were closing in on Kaa and he turned. His eyes open wide, they had every intention to trample the young heir. Don's eyes widened and looked to his soldiers, "Don't let them reach Kaa!"
The Stegomon launced their spines but the Ankylomon's hard armor prevented any damage, the Greymon fell with a pained cry. The Ankylomon continued his charge, heading directly for Kaa. Kaa's eyes dilated at the approaching adult.

Theos ran diagonal to the fire. Off to the side and away to get out of its path sooner. His tail fur being singed by the flames. He was still worried about Kemba but he had to take down this foe first if he hoped to even begin to dig him out. He rushed towards his foe Weaving last second towards one side of his head. If it lowered it he would go for the eye again. However if it raised it this time he would go for the soft neck flesh. Ripping at either before pulling away slightly. If he tried breathing fire again Theos wouldn't stop but lower himself under it as he got closer sacrificing some of his fur.
__
Don shook his head, "I don't pretend for a second that I'm a warrior. I'm a bookworm and a scholar. Always have been...always will be. I know how to fight well and combine it with my intellect. Kaa is the strong one. Here's the thing about cowards princess...they tend to live to fight another day. Though it is sad that when presented with your own medicine, you turn to idle quips. I had hoped you'd show some honor in the end, but I guess that is too much for a Scomparsian in the end. Farewell princess." She tsked again. She had been taught that a tongue could be as sharp as a sword to some foes. Her idle quips were her last chance to make wounds. Though he seemed immune to it all.
So this was it. A short but sweet life. She stood as tall as she could being injured her head raised towards the sky. Suddenly nothing but a voice as she felt an arm come around her. She opened her eyes watching the spines fall before looking beside herself to a familiar face. only one thought going through her head; what the hell was he doing?
"Are you okay?" She nods a bit hesitantly confused by his actions.

Ike is a Scomparsian! So if he is your friend, why do you seek to destroy his home town? Damn everyone but Ike? Everyone in that city is suffering like Ike did! He just had a dad who got him out!" Natalie stayed behind him wondering why it was this one digimon defended her. Don was right it is a war one side loses and their city crumbles then becomes apart of the other. And yet he speaks of her subjects and saving them. Instead of absorbing her city into theirs; he talks about preserving it and bettering it.
"You think she can save Scomparsa....but how do you know she isn't like Dubal?"
"I..I don't...but...I just have a feeling she is better." Don glared.
"I can't base our home on a feeling...I'm sorry...but...her death will bring a quicker end to the war. Dubal...Dubal will be easier to take care of." Father's grief? That was pretty low.
"Don't let them reach Kaa!"
"To heel," Natalie barked. Watching her soldier come to a stop. "Honestly you princes are much to soft. Saving me to save my kingdom. Your enemy in this war? Your brother is right you know killing me would simplify things for you. I don't know what these feelings are that you have but I truly hope they don't bring you to ruin," She said looking to Kaa before drifting her gaze to Don. "As for you using a parents love. Sounds exactly like that bastard Stall to me. And I hate his guts. I'd take one good long look at yourself. You may not care if you play villain but others might.....honestly how far back was your other brother. I thought you two would be distraught with grief." She shook her head as she babbled. She got much to talkative when she was in pain.

The Monochromon watched Theos run towards him, the armored digimon reared back on his hind legs with a roar and attempted to slam down on Theos. Even if the digimon missed, the sand would fly outwards towards Theos in an attempt to bury him. If that was successful, the Monochromon would open its mouth to fire another fireball. Kemba began to stir and forced himself out of the sand, his head coming out.
He shook his head to knock off excess sand and look around for Theos, the Monochromon noticed him however and kicked back with a powerful jolt, knocking Kemba in the head hard. Theos's lover falling back into an unconscious state. "Stay sleeping feline, I'll eat you next."
___
"To heel," Natalie barked. Her soldier come to a stop and Kaa could breathe again turning and smiling at her.
Don scoffed at her, "You claim to hate Stall yet you fight at his side? You're a princess aren't you? It seems to me you are just as much without a spine as you claim I lack. I'm simply giving an eye for an eye. Do not compare me to Stall. Dubal took and ripped families of Coraggio apart, he deserves to know the feelings he has instilled in our peoples. Furthermore I..."
"Stop!" Kaa exclaimed holding up his claw. Don's scowling gaze returning to him, Kaa looked to Natalie. "You said something about our other brother, what did you mean? Ban is our youngest and third crowned. He is safe and sound beyond Stalls reach." Kaa explained, he gave her a soft smile.
"Also, killing you would only simplify things for Coraggio and worsen things for Scomparsa. A very special digimon taught me that love is more powerful then hatred. It has the ability to bond people and help them overcome the harshest of challenges." Kaa looked down at the sand.
"I never wanted war. I may be young and naive, but I believe...that you have that for your people. You showed me as much when you trusted me yesterday. I don't want to destroy Scomparsa...not when you can save it. I want both our nations to prosper. That is why...I have not killed any of your men today. Only incapacitated them." Kaa explained.
Don crossed his arms and shook his head, his brother was naive just as he said. He had no idea what Theos told him but this could be bad for Kaa.

Theos watched him rear up and changed course to avoid being stomped on. The powerful wave of sand and wind that erupted as he slammed down knocked Theos from his feet sending him flying. The sand buried him only slightly and he started to shake himself free. He looked up to see the monochromon's mouth glowing with fire. Theos rushed off to the side the weight of the sand falling off him slowing him down. The fireball singed his tail a great deal leaving nothing but a black bloody mess of it. Theos yelp of pain being lost in the explosion of fire.
He turned growling at the monochromon slowly approaching. He stopped suddenly though as he had a small thought. He started backing up suddenly and slowly. He started back towards the sounds of a massacre. His eyes remaining on the monochromon so he could dodge any bursts of fire it threw at him.

"Stall is my fathers adviser not mine. Once I am crowned if he does not bend to me he will be banished pure and simple. My father may have title as king but Stall pulls his strings more than he likes to admit," Natalie said sighing. More than she liked to admit. She had no way of persuading her father either. Stalls claws were in too deep and she much to young to change that.
"As for save and sound...I wonder how that can be. I saw Stall shoot the boy with my own two eyes. No one survives his bullets," Natalie said. She remained standing but her blood loss was starting to get to her. She felt weak and ready to collapse at a moments notice. The only thing keeping her up a strong will and her distrust of the one prince.

The Monochromon unknowingly followed after Theos, he broke out into a charge with a roar, chasing him. When he caught up, he would duck his head down and attempt to throw Theos into the air using his sharp horn.
_
"Stall is my fathers adviser not mine. Once I am crowned if he does not bend to me he will be banished pure and simple. My father may have title as king but Stall pulls his strings more than he likes to admit," That was the problem, Stall.
"As for save and sound...I wonder how that can be. I saw Stall shoot the boy with my own two eyes. No one survives his bullets," Kaa and Don looked shocked at that revelation.
"How can that be? He is in perfect health." Don exclaimed. "Yea, Theos and Kemba protected him." Kaa added.
Kaa wondered if Theos had kept that from the purposefully, something so important, why would he do that? It disturbed Kaa a bit especially after their moment before. He had no reason to doubt Natalie's words.
"I-...In any case, Ban is safe...and you need to be treated. Don hurt you pretty badly." Kaa said.
"Something I will not apologize for."
Kaa glared at Don then back at Natalie, "Listen...talk to Dubal. Try to make him see the truth. If you are to him that Don thinks you are, then perhaps you can bring this needless bloodshed to an end. My own father seeks vengeance...but I can talk too him. You'll always have at least one ally in Coraggio Princess." Kaa smiled. The Ankylomon soldier walking closer, he was relatively confused by the whole thing, but it was not his place.
Don narrowed his gaze, he would have to try again another time. A place without Kaa. He would have her killed...to save Coraggio and to save Kaa.

Theos would run forward as he lowered his head veering last moment so his bulk didn't have time to turn with him. He would stop just short of Cora waiting for the monochromon to charge him again. To charge past him and towards Cora. If he didn't charge but instead aimed his fire again. Theos would dodge and hoped Cora would see the flash of light the fire made.
_
"How can that be? He is in perfect health." Don exclaimed. "Yea, Theos and Kemba protected him." Natalie had no words. If he was safe then how did they heal him in the middle of a desert? It seemed one of them had healing abilities. On par to challenge Stall.
"I-...In any case, Ban is safe...and you need to be treated. Don hurt you pretty badly." Kaa said.

"I was already planning on taking to my father about Stall," she waved off his suggestion. "I will take my leave now unless you want to try again." She glared at Don.
Either response he gave she would hop onto the ankylomons back. "The name is Natalie by the way. I didn't get yours," she said staring at Kaa. She could care less for the second princes.

The Monochromon approached but naturally his attention was drawn to the King who was ripping through soldiers one after the other. He had gashes running down his body as he fought twenty to one. The sands were red underneath is feet and his feral expression was something to fear. He growled and roared as he bit, clawed and tore into the enemy units.
Cora nearly trampled Theos, not even noticing him. He turned his head, spotting the Monochromon and lashed his tail out. The heavy thick length of it was bone crushing against the body of the dinosaur. His body flew threw the air, and landing into the sand, alive but overturned. He lay on his back un-moving.
_
Cole and Grey had continued there combat, steel against steel. It seemed Grey had the edge over Cole. His blades had removed his chest plate, revealing the soft flesh underneath. Red gashes on his chest from the deep cuts. He was breathing heavy and glaring at Grey who had his own share of wounds. His stomach bled from a deep gash, and he lost his should and waist pads. His helmet had been cracked, yet he was still reserved and looked on at Cole's retreating energy.
"You are too old Cole. You should have stuck to being a servant to Dubal, at least then this war would have never happened." Grey said. He lifted his blades and charged Cole, feinting to the left to draw a block then quickly slashing at his belly. Cole tried to jump but the tip of the blade passed through his stomach. He stumbled and held his fresh wound.
"You're too young...to understand my plight." Cole responded.
Grey chuckled, "I understand you are at deaths door. My fighting prowess is unmatched in Coraggio. After I kill you, I will behead your King."
Cole stood again and shook his head, "You still think only of the fight when you have so much to fight for. You are blind Grey, that is why you will lose. You lack what I have...or rather, you're still blind too it." Cole raised his sword.
Grey became upset, "There is nothing but the fight in war you old fool. Do not mock me! You will die here, show some honor! You Coraggian bug!"
Cole chuckled, "I have more honor then you do Grey. You will soon see."
Grey clicked his tongue and raised his swords, "Die then with your so called honor!! Rinkazan!" Grey's swords left a trail of light behind them as they approached Cole to reduce him to pieces. Cole lifted his sword as he approached,
"Victory Charge!" Cole passed Grey and appeared on his other side. Cole dropped his sword and turned to see Grey. Grey's eyes were wide and he coughed up blood, "Wh..what?"
Cole's gaze narrowed to Grey and he shook his head, "Victory Charge...my sword reflects any attacks back to my opponent."
Grey looked back to Cole when suddenly, slashes of light erupted around him. "Gwwwwooooaaaaah!" He cried out in pain dropping his swords. His armor was sliced to pieces, just a portion of his helmet, torso and waist remained. Splashes of Grey's blood spilled into the air and he fell on his back.
Cole walked over to the beaten Grey as he laid there, Grey eyed the victor with a sour expression. "What...are you waiting for...kill me." Grey said.
Cole shook his head, "I'm aware that in Scomparsa, a warrior's greatest honor is to die by the sword. It is also the stupidest. If you die here, everything you strive to be dies with you. I will not kill you Grey."
Grey coughed as he spat up some more of his blood, "You fool...if you let me live...I will come for you."
"That may be...but you and I are very much alike. I will not deprive her of you. You are a good digimon, Grey. I hope you find your way...for her sake." Cole turned and began to walk away.
Grey lay there in his blood and contemplated those words. He was like a weak Coraggian? How could that be? Did he mean...? Grey slowly turned his head to see Natalie. His eyes narrowed as he looked at her. In that moment of defeat, Grey was able to understand. He looked up at the sky as his body refused to move.
"Tsk...damn Coraggian." His gaze softened to the sky. _
"I was already planning on taking to my father about Stall," Kaa was happy to hear it and smiled.
"I will take my leave now unless you want to try again."/font]
"Oh don't worry princess...you can guarantee it." Don said.
"No...no you don't. You're not going to do anything to her anymore." Kaa chimed in causing Don to turn his head away.
"The name is Natalie by the way. I didn't get yours," Kaa's smile returned when she asked for his name.
"Kaallel...but everyone calls me Kaa." Don looked back to Kaa, it was a rare thing to give his full name. He really trusted this princess, didn't he?

Theos flinched away from Cora's stomp watching the monochromon go flying. He would probably be out for awhile. Long enough Theos hoped for him to return and wake up Kemba. Theos bolted while he had the chance. The moving sea of bodies confusing to say the least. But all it took was one glimpse of white to set Theos on the right path.
Theos ran up to him and nuzzled his neck and head if he wasn't awake yet. "Time to get up. You can't sleep out here you'll be trampled."

"Well Kaallel. I didn't ask for your help," Natalie said pausing a moment. "But I am not an ungrateful little shit. You saved my life and one day I'll do the same for you. Only once though mind you. I am not going to be playing life tag with you." Natalie huffed a bit at the end. Why did she suddenly feel embarrassed. How stupid.
"Let's go," Natalie said to the Anklyomon. She began riding on its back looking out for Grey. Until she spotted him on the ground. She frowned....they were both beaten by Coraggians.

"Time to get up. You can't sleep out here you'll be trampled."
Kemba slowly woke, a headache causing him to moan as he shook his head. A small gash from where he was kicked stained the side of his face red. He looked at Theos and gave a soft smile.
"I have quite the headache..." Kemba said rising to his feet. He looked around, seeing the raging battle still on going.
"We should try to find the others." Kemba said. At that moment, the Monochromon approached them angrily limping as parts of his armor had shattered and red snakes ran down his side.
"You pesky pup! I'm going to end you!"
Kemba growled, "Get on Theos. I've had enough of this digimon."
_
"Well Kaallel. I didn't ask for your help," Natalie said pausing a moment. "But I am not an ungrateful little shit. You saved my life and one day I'll do the same for you. Only once though mind you. I am not going to be playing life tag with you."
Kaa watched as she headed her way, Kaa looked to their soldiers and he held up his claws. "Let her pass. She is to remain unharmed." He called out, the men nodding.
Don clicked his tongue and headed back towards his main forces. He said not a word to Kaa.
Kaa looked at his brother leave and frowned, he knew that this would become another fight. Still, he had to follow what he thought was right. He needed to help push back the Scomparsians for now and charged back into the fray, hopefully to find a friend. _
Grey turned his head at the approaching Natalie and Ankylomon and turned his head back to the sky. "Hmph...you look like crap." He said.

"I have quite the headache..." Theos was sure after that blow.
"We should try to find the others." Theos nodded then looked back as he heard the limping monochromon.
"You pesky pup! I'm going to end you!"
Kemba growled, "Get on Theos. I've had enough of this digimon."
"I agree," Theos said jumping on his back with a growl.
_
"Hmph...you look like crap." He said.
"Says the digimon laying on the ground as a bloody pulp," Natalie said leaning against one of the ankylomons spines favoring her shoulder. "We lost to Coraggians of all things." She sighed. "Let's go back."

Kemba began to glow again, his aura surrounding him. The Monochromon roared and began to charge, Kemba did the same. Running as fast as he could, he leaped over onto the Monochromon's back. His claws and teeth sinking into the exposed flesh of the once armored digimon. The dinosaur let out a massive cry as his sensitive flesh was ripped from the bone.
Kemba then leaped off and sent the aura to his blades, "Aurora Burst!" The enchanted blades sent out even more powerful blue blades thanks to his and Theos combined might. The Monochromon cried and collapsed dissipating into data. Kemba landed and snarled as the last particles flew away.

"That's another one down. Though honestly, I don't know hoq long I can keep going like this." Kemba admitted. "I've received quite a bit of damage and I don't have much energy left. Trying to maintain this form is difficult."

"Says the digimon laying on the ground as a bloody pulp," Natalie said leaning against one of the ankylomons spines favoring her shoulder. "We lost to Coraggians of all things." She sighed. "Let's go back.
Grey glared at the sky and finally sat up, the red on his black scales stood out. It pained him to move. He forced himself on the Ankylomon and used him as a crutch to walk. He held his side and winced as the pain spread.
"Perhaps...we've underestimated them. In more ways then we realize." Grey said as he limped alongside the Ankylomon.
He looked at Natalie remembering again Cole's cryptic speech, "I should have stayed by your side...I'm sorry, because of me...tasting battle again after so long. You were almost killed by a whelp." Natalie could hear the concern and anger behind his words.

Theos held on as tight as he could with Kemba's jumping around. When he was finally able to look up from his fur next he could see the monochromon slowly disappearing. A sigh of relief escaping him.
"That's another one down. Though honestly, I don't know how long I can keep going like this." Kemba admitted. "I've received quite a bit of damage and I don't have much energy left. Trying to maintain this form is difficult."
Theos nodded in understanding. He looked around but the sea of bodies seemed just as thick as ever and their foes just seemed to keep coming. "This battle alone is testing the limits of our strength," Theos said looking to his blackened tail. "The war is only going to get harder from here." Theos knew it was true. All the weak have probably been widdled down to nothing leaving only the strong to fight. If Theos didn't toughen up he might be on that list as well.

Natalie watched him from the corner of her eye as he limped along with the ankylomon. She was worried about him but he was a tough old man and he was still able to move which was a good sign.
You were almost killed by a whelp."
"It's war. Sometimes digimon die," Natalie said sighing. "I don't expect you to be in two places at once. And if you had taken your eyes off for a second to look and see how I was it could have cost you the battle a lot sooner."

"This battle alone is testing the limits of our strength, The war is only going to get harder from here."
Theos spoke the truth, this battle was just to prevent Scomparsa from crossing the border. They still had to invade and take down the capital. The Scomparsians would become just as desperate and more dangerous then. For now though, they had to concentrate on the here and now.
"Yes. Hopefully this ends soon, Stall isn't foolish enough to have his army routed here."
At that moment, Blake came spinning through the air landing hard on his back and his weapon landing in the sand. He was wounded and bleeding and cringed on the ground. Kemba quickly rushed over, "Blake!"
"What a weak DinoHumon. To think a cripple was strong enough to fight a real warrior? I am unsatisfied." A Scomparsian soldier said walking over. It was a Dinohumon whose scales were as black as his heart. He carried a large sword on his back and it was connected to a smaller one by a thin cable. Wearing bladed sleeves not unlike Blake. Blood dripped from the sharp edge as he walked closer.
Kemba looked up at the enemy snarling and growling at him. Kemba stood over Blake in a protective manner. The Dinohumon's red gaze assessed Kemba and Theos and chuckled.
"Hey...I know you two...you're the queers right? Yea. Stall said to capture the dog. A gay dog and his gay lion. Tell me, how is it a couple fags like you can even be tolerated as royalty or do you suck off the King too? That must be it. I bet he enjoys your puckers when he's alone. Why else would he keep some low lives in his castle then to pay him a few nightly visits in his bedchamber? Ha ha ha ha."
Kemba let out a roar, this disgusting creature had no sense of dignity or respect. His words made Kemba's blood boil. How dare he talk to them that way.
"I will rip out your tongue and feed it back too you!" The Dinohumon laughed at Kemba's aggression.
"I would love for you to try, maybe a gay will be a much better fight then a damn cripple. Hell, maybe I'll ask Stall if I can fill the dog before he does whatever it is he plans to do with him. I'm sure the pup will like that!"
Kemba roared and charged the Dinohumon who leaped into the air with sinister grin and flipped over Kemba, throwing his smaller knife around his hind legs and pulling him. Kemba fell forward and landed face first into the sand, his butt slightly in the air.
"Hey now, that must be a familiar position! Ha ha ha ha." _
"It's war. Sometimes digimon die," Natalie said sighing. "I don't expect you to be in two places at once. And if you had taken your eyes off for a second to look and see how I was it could have cost you the battle a lot sooner."
Grey shook his head and cringed as he did, "No...your father gave me a mission to protect you. I have been doing that before you even hatched...then the smallest taste of battle and I forgot it all just to feel like a warrior again." Grey looked at her, a bit of sadness behind his hardened stare.
"Your injuries are a result of my weakness. If I had lost you I would be..." Grey stopped himself from finishing that sentence.
"If...if your father had lost you....I would have been killed." Grey didn't want to admit to himself that Cole was right. That he loved Natalie like a daughter, that he would throw his life away to protect her. Love was supposed to be weakness...yet it filled him with a warmth. What had that Coraggian done too him?
Natalie could see even in his partially covered face, a small redness in his cheeks.

"Yes. Hopefully this ends soon, Stall isn't foolish enough to have his army routed here."
Theos jumped from Kemba's back as they approached the collapsed Dinohumon. Theos walked up to him worriedly, "Blake!"
"What a weak DinoHumon. To think a cripple was strong enough to fight a real warrior? I am unsatisfied." Theos looked up at the black dinohumon. His fur standing on end as he insulted Blake.
Theos snarled at his disrespectful words. He jumped back up onto Kemba's back. They were definitely going to take him down not just for Blake but to put this digimon in his place. They would all learn not to disrespect Coraggio, Cora and them.
Theos jumped off snarling as Kemba was tripped up. He raced not at the dinohumon but the cord. His teeth posed to chew through it. To get rid of at least one of his weapons or make it unusable.
"Hey now, that must be a familiar position! Ha ha ha ha." _

"If...if your father had lost you....I would have been killed."
As much as she hated to admit it. He was right with her death her father would have him killed. She couldn't fight that point. "No point in dwelling on it. I am alive and we lost the battle. The best thing we can do now is regroup."
