A King's Bath

"It was poor introductions last night. This is Kemba my mate," Theos said introducing him. Kemba gave a small smiled and waved twiddling his fingers. "He's so fuzzy!" Ban said leaping out of the water and back in. "Ban, stop jumping around, you'll slip and fall again." Kaa ordered, it was clear Kaa was trying to be more mature then his two brothers. He wasn't as rowdy and presented himself with maturity. Ban floated on his back pressing two of his claws together with an apologetic look, "Sorry." He said. "How are you doing this morning uncle," Theos said floating inches from his snout. "Besides a little sore? Fantastic. It has been ages since I fought so seriously, I have a guard to do that after all. It felt good to flex some muscle." Cora answered, Don leaned against his dad's snout, "What muscle? All you have is a bubble belly, you eat and drink more then anything!" Cora glared at his son and blew at him, knocking him over into the water which earned a chuckle from the other two including Kemba. "Anyway, nice to finally meet you officially Kemba. You have been making my nephew quite the happy individual." Cora glared at Kemba, "Just make sure that stays that way or I won't be so friendly." Cora bellowed. Kemba was intimidated at first then smiled, "No need to worry your majesty, my life is Theos to use however he wishes. Whatever makes him happy, I'll see it done." Kemba replied swimming over to Theos and hugged him. "Papa papa, can I be Theos's mate to!" Kemba nearly passed out hearing Ban's words. Don began to laugh and Kaa shook his head, "This is why you should pay attention to Magi's classes. Do you even know what mate means?" Kaa asked, Ban put a claw to his chin and looked dumbfounded. "No, do I need to?" Ban asked. "It's...." Kaa began when Cora interrupted, "Kaa will tell you in a less awkward space...I know it will be for me. I wish I could forbid all of you from growing up." Cora said sighing. "Well when I grow up, I hope I find my close one like Theos and Kemba did." Don added, "I hope he's cute and loving, and likes books." Kaa arched a brow at Don, "I didn't know you liked boys." Don nodded his head, "Yup! How could I not when I love my brothers and my dad! Mom's the only girl for me." Don said fixing his glasses, Cora put his claws to his ears. "I'm not hearing this, you're all children...stop talking about grown up stuff." Kaa patted his father's snout, "Sorry dad that's just something you're going to have to live with." Kaa said. Cora glared at Kaa and blew on him, knocking him into the water as well, "I refuse." Cora said.

Kaa reemerged from the water with an annoyed look, his brothers getting quite the laugh out of it. "Dad...I'm supposed to be the serious one." Kaa said, "Says who? To me you're all my little hatchlings and I will always treat you as such." Cora said nuzzling Kaa. "I'm the heir aren't I? I have to be ready!" Kaa said Cora gasped, "Are you trying to write me off? I didn't know my bed wetting Kaa could be so power hungry!" Kaa became completely flustered and broke character, "I haven't wet the bed in three days!! You're embarrassing me again!!" He said flailing his arms around. Ban laughed, "You haven't wet the bed in three days? That's a new record!" Kaa turned even more red, "Sh-Shut up! At least I don't suck my claw!" Kaa said pointing, "My claw is tasty....I LIKE sucking it so there!" Ban said sticking his tongue out. "How about you suck on my fist instead!" Kaa said swimming over to Ban and leaping on him. Ban started laughing with Kaa as they began to splash around. Don pouted, "I wanna join toooo!" He said crossing his arms as his brothers played. Cora smiled as his sons had fun and looked at Kemba and Theos, Kemba had leaned on Theos enjoying the show everyone was putting on, "I'd like to show you both around the royal wing today. Perhaps introduce you to Raja, she has wanted nothing more then to meet you. She's busy preparing Theos's coronation ball, she has been since yesterday when you showed up at our doorstep." Kemba wasn't quite sure what that meant, "A coronation ball? Does it bounce really high?" He asked. Cora laughed, "No no, a coronation ball is what royals call a crowning ceremony. It's a party to honor a newly crowned royal. My sons had one a few years back, it's only appropriate I give Theos one as well since I missed out on his baby years." Kemba nodded, "I see....that sounds like fun!" Kemba said. "I'm sure it will be, there will be dancing and eating and lots of drinks! You can invite whomever you like from across the land." Cora responded. "Theos is the only digimon I need, so I don't have anyone." Kemba said.

The triplets had finished playing and swam over to Theos and Kemba. Ban pressed up against Theos nuzzling his face with his own, "I want to go to Theos coronation ball! So we can play!" Ban said. Don threw himself gently over Theos back, "Yea yea! Me to!" Don said. Kemba smiled, "Don...Ban...stop hanging on to our cousin. You're pushing Kemba away." Kaa said standing behind Kemba. "No it's fine, you're all excited to meet your cousin. I understand, I know how to share ha ha." Kemba said. Kaa looked at Kemba then at Theos and turned red, "So can I hug him to?" He said trying not to break character. Kemba moved away, "By all means." Kaa submerged himself swimming around his brothers, clinging to Theos and came up in front of Theos, Don moved over a bit to let Kaa squeeze in, "I'd like to go to your ball as well." Kaa said brushing up against Theos. Cora was very happy at the sight,"You don't have to ask him, you were all going anyway. Now I'd also like to show you the room you'll be staying in. It was Mida's room when he lived here, no one has used it since but I've kept it in top notch condition." Ban began to make make 'ooo' noises, "Can we show him our room!?" He said excitedly, "Yes...I don't see why not but your cousin should be shown the essentials first." Cora said. "When we show you our room, we can play all day!" Don added. "Kemba can come to." Kaa chimed in. "I'd like that." Kemba said. "Okay you three, how about you all come scrub down your old man? My scales are starting to prune." Cora asked. "Okaaaay!" The three princes said, leaving Theos side they leaped into their father's bath and swam to collect the soap. They'd each begin scrubbing their father, "So, how did last night go? Did you sleep okay in Magi's quarters?" Cora asked.

He was just being a good protector after all, "No need to worry your majesty, my life is Theos to use however he wishes. Whatever makes him happy, I'll see it done." Theos leaned back against the side of the tub letting Kemba lean into him, "I'd like to show you both around the royal wing today. You're pushing Kemba away." Kaa said standing behind Kemba. "No it's fine, you're all excited to meet your cousin. I understand, I know how to share ha ha." Theos chuckled and stood on the bottom so he wouldn't be submerged by their weight, "So can I hug him to?" He said trying not to break character. Kemba moved away, "By all means." Theos chuckled as he was hugged, "I'd like to go to your ball as well." Of course they were coming. It was their palace after all,"You don't have to ask him, you were all going anyway. Now I'd also like to show you the room you'll be staying in. It was Mida's room when he lived here, no one has used it since but I've kept it in top notch condition." Ban began to make make 'ooo' noises, "Can we show him our room!?" He said excitedly, "Yes...I don't see why not but your cousin should be shown the essentials first." Cora said. "When we show you our room, we can play all day!" Don added. "Kemba can come to." Kaa chimed in. "I'd like that." Kemba said. "Okay you three, how about you all come scrub down your old man? My scales are starting to prune." Cora asked. "Okaaaay!"

Theos turned to Kemba and went to grab the soap to do the same. They needed to get the smell off anyway. He began soaping up Kemba's back, "So, how did last night go? Did you sleep okay in Magi's quarters?" Cora asked.


"I slept sound. The exhaustion from yesterday probably caught up," Theos answered. "I guess i'll have to tell Aunt Raja who i want there," Theos though of Kim and Blake.....he wondered if grandpa could make the journey from Bai Hu. "I don't know how to dance though," Theos admitted. "Maybe I could get a crash course," he said chuckling.

"I slept sound. The exhaustion from yesterday probably caught up," Cora nodded, Kemba leaned into Theos's scrubbing closing his eyes as the suds accumulated. The three princes were hard at work scrubbing down their much larger father, Ban was running up and down Cora's back with a rag. Don was working on Cora's belly and Kaa was scrubbing Cora's head. "I guess I'll have to tell Aunt Raja who I want there," Cora seemed to be very relaxed as his sons scrubbed him down as a bit of his tongue was hanging out of his mouth. "I'm sure whoever it is, we can make sure they make it." Cora responded. "Think Jared will come if you invite him?" Kemba asked, lifting up his tail to allow Theos access to scrub his lower side. "Maybe Max...though I don't know if W.A.D.A. would participate." Kemba thought. "I don't know how to dance though," Theos admitted. "Maybe I could get a crash course," Kemba realized he didn't either. "I don't know how to dance either." Kemba said. "Dancing is easy!" Ban said sliding down his dad's neck towards his head, which knocked Kaa into the water with a splash. Kaa raised his head from the water glaring at his brother, Ban continued where Kaa left off. "It's all about moving your body to the music!" Ban said. "It's a ball so it will feature ball room style dancing." Kaa said choosing to scrub Cora's arm. "Which means it's done with a partner." Kaa added. Cora jerked up a little bit suddenly with a surprised look on his face briefly, "Oi, Don...don't scrub me there without my permission." Cora said Don raising up from below the water, "Sorry dad! He he." Don said swimming over to his father's snout earning a tracking stare from his father. "Ball room dancing is also done slowly with someone you care about, you two will be naturals! I'll probably dance with Ban again." Don said. Ban whined, "I wanna dance with cousin!" He said sliding down his fathers head onto his nose. "Kaa will probably get asked by every female again." Don added. Cora took a deep breath and blew out his nose, blowing Ban into the regular bath. "Eep!" He squealed disappearing under the water. He reemerged spitting water out at Cora's snout and laughing, "I'll dance with as many people as I can, such is the job of an heir. To know the people and build bonds with them." Kaa said scrubbing his father's leg. Cora sighed, "Kaa...you won't be King for at least another hundred years, I wish you'd just act like a kid and enjoy it. I honestly don't know where you get this from. I was never so serious about becoming king, I enjoyed my childhood. Midas and I both." Cora said. He looked at Theos and smiled and remembered back.

"WEE!" A young Midas said splashing into the regular bath, "Midaaaas....you're splashiiiing! I don't like getting wet before I'm reaaaadyyyy!" A prepubescent Cora said standing just outside the bath water holding his tail. "Aw c'mon Cora! It's just a little water! It's even warmed up for ya!" Midas said. "What about all the geeeerms." Cora said fiddling with his tail. "Cora, we're made of germs now get in here or I'll pull you in myself!" Midas said approaching Cora. "Okaaay! Don't pull meeee!" Cora dipped one of his toes in and quickly pulled it out. "Okay! That was a good bath! Time to go to bed now!" Cora said smiling. "Oh brother! How are you going to be king if you can't even handle a bit of water?" Midas asked. "I-I usually come in here with pa...and and...I sit on his back." Cora said bending the tip of his tail with one of his claws, trying not to make eye contact with Midas. Midas sat in the warm water and thought a bit, "Hmm....well...what if you climb on my back?" Midas asked. "Um...are you sure?" Cora asked. Midas nodding with a smile, "Hop on!" Cora let his tail go and it fell back in place behind him, "Okay..." Cora sat on Midas back who braced his four legs on the bottom. "Are you okay Midas?" Cora asked, Midas clenched his teeth together as his eyes widened from the weight on his back, "JUST.....PEACHY!!" He strained as his knees buckled. "You don't sound peachy..." Cora exclaimed, "I'M....GOING....TO.....DIE..." Midas said sweating comically as he tried to hold up the heavier digimon. Cora smiled and jumped into the water reemerging, "Better?" Cora asked, Midas floated on his side with a sigh of relief "I...I coulda handled it...." Midas lied. "Ha ha...your body language says otherwise. Why did you say that knowing I'd be pretty heavy...I'm a little bigger then you after all." Cora said. Midas returned to a standing posture and tilted his head confusingly, "What do you mean? I'd do anything for you Cora. You're my brother." Midas answered. "Brother? You're not a Spinomon though and we've only been friends for a year." Cora exclaimed. Midas swam up to Cora and bopped his forehead with his hoof, "Dummy, blood relatives aren't the only ones who can have brothers. I care a lot about you Cora, you've been such a good friend this past year and helped me when I was very lonely. You were there for me when even my own father wasn't, that makes you my brother blood or no. I couldn't have made it through the year without your friendship." Midas said. Cora became a little flustered turning red, "Th-Thanks....and you're welcome Midas." Cora said scratching the back of his head. "We've formed a bond this year and it will be stronger then iron. Prince Cora, if you would let me, I'd like to be your brother until the day I draw my last breath." Midas said. Cora smiled and nodded, "If you will let me Prince Midas, I'd also like to be your brother and forge a bond stronger than blood." Cora said. "That was kinda the point of my question Cora, you can't just try to out cool me by saying it differently." Midas said smiling a swimming up to Cora. Cora laughed and embraced Midas in a hug that caught Midas by surprise, it was the first time they embraced. "I love you Midas." Cora said, Midas nuzzled into Cora, "Yea, I love you to Cora. You must have been lonely to huh?" Cora nodded, "Very lonely." He said holding Midas tighter, "He he, well now you don't have to be lonely anymore...neither of us has to." Midas said. "I'm happy." Cora said. Midas smiled, "I am to.....so you gonna let me go...or do you wanna kiss?" Midas asked snickering. Cora opened his eyes wide and released Midas, "Don't make it weird!" Cora yelled. Midas began to laugh.

"Pa? What's wrong? You're crying." Ban asked worryingly, "Is something wrong with Theos?" Ban said looking over to Theos. Kemba seemed worried to as a single tear escaped Cora's eye. "Oh no, I'm fine son. I was just so comfortable I found myself thinking on a memory." Cora said giving a wide smile. Don put a claw to his chin and frowned at his dad's response, "If you say so..." He said. "Hey hey, why am I the only one cleaning dad? Get your butts over here and help me!" Kaa yelled. "Haaaaai!" Don and Ban said returning to work. "What were you thinking about your majesty?" Kemba asked, Theos had finished scrubbing him down and was now returning the favor making sure to take his time to get the stench of everything off of him. "I remembered when Midas and I became brothers for the first time was right in the bath where you and Theos are, it was a year after he had stayed here. Besides meeting Raja and the hatching of my triplets and meeting Theos, it was one of the happiest nights I've ever lived." He answered. "Anyway, what were we talking about?" Cora asked. "Dancing I believe, pa." Kaa reminded, "Ah yes, well, the triplets can show you all you need to know beforehand. Kaa is the most experienced." Cora said. Kaa smiled, "It would be my honor to teach cousin and Kemba. I look forward to it." Kaa said. Ban looked sad, "I wanna help!" He whined, "It's not fair that just you get to dance with them!" Don chimed in. Cora laughed, "I'm sure you can all help out." Kaa sighed, "I wanted to do it alone..." He said. "Don't hog them to yourself!" Ban yelled, "Yea!" Don added. "Okay okay! Sheesh...I wanted to spend a little quality time with them is all. You two are worse then a butt leech." Kaa said. "Takes one to know one Sukamon head!" Ban said causing Kaa to glare. "We've seem to become popular with the princes Theos...ha ha." He said. "Yes...I'll never need another babysitter again at this rate. Raja will be pleased." Cora said laughing. "Hey hey, Theos, can I dance with you first!?" Ban asked. "I wanna dance with Kemba then!" Don said. "You know, they may want to dance with each other..." Kaa said. "Admit it, you wanna dance with them to! We're triplets! We have telepatea!" Ban said. "Telepathy." Cora corrected, "Te...le....pa..tea?" Ban said. "Tel...ep...athy." Cora said. Ban squinted and put his finger on his chin and tried to say it, "Tel....ep....a...tee...." Kaa shook his head, "Telepathy! Telepathy! Have you been doing any of the homework?" Don said. "Yea that!" Ban said giving up, Kaa sighed "Even if I want to, we have to put them first." Kaa said. Kemba chuckled, "What to do huh Theos?"

"Think Jared will come if you invite him?" Theos nodded. "Maybe Max...though I don't know if W.A.D.A. would participate." He had wondered that himself though he wasn't sure if Max could leave his post. "I don't know how to dance either." Kemba said. "Dancing is easy!" Theos smiled at the pair. A partner....well he had that covered at least, "Ball room dancing is also done slowly with someone you care about, you two will be naturals! I'll probably dance with Ban again." Don said. Ban whined, "I wanna dance with cousin!" Theos was sure he could fit them in...though he wondered how long such a party would be. "Kaa will probably get asked by every female again." Theos chuckled at the king, "I'll dance with as many people as I can, such is the job of an heir. To know the people and build bonds with them." Kaa said scrubbing his father's leg. Theos betted in his own way he was trying to reassure his father his kingdom would be in good hands once he finally did hand over the crown. Like any good heir. There was a family of storytellers in the mountains. They pass down stories from generation to generation. Not always to their first born or even to one of their own children. But to those who wished to learn these tales and become their heirs. There are so many stories each generation has to have three to carry on the mantle...not unlike these three.

Ban said giving up, Kaa sighed "Even if I want to, we have to put them first." Kaa said. Kemba chuckled, "What to do huh Theos?"


"Yep," Theos agreed. How could they make it fair? Doing it by age was no good. Either way there would be complaints wouldn't there. Rock, paper, scissors maybe? That was a thought. They can't complain if they lose since it is more about luck. "Rock, paper, scissors?" Theos asked looking to Kemba. It was as good a thought as any.

"Either way I'm sure I could dance with all of you," Theos said smiling. Of course first came breakfast and the tour. Maybe after diner they could take the time to dance then once all their energy is worn off to bed. The triplets really seemed to have energy to spare though. It might take awhile to wear them out. 

"Rock, paper, scissors?" Theos had suggested and Kemba thought on it, "Good enough for me!" Kemba said working Theos lower side, he chuckled a little as the suds clinged to Theos fur making him look almost like a sheep. "Either way I'm sure I could dance with all of you," Kemba nodded, "Me to." The triplets all smiled, "Rock, paper, scissors. Good call." Kaa said. Ban jumped up and down out of the water spinning on some jumps, "Yay yay yay yay." he cheered. Don fixed his glasses, which were surprisingly secure with everything that had happened. "I will use my best judgement and claim victory! The first dance will be mine to have!" He exclaimed. Cora laughed, "It seems a battle has been waged! I look forward to the results. For now though...."Cora lifted up his tail from the water, "You three can scrub down my butt and tail." Cora said sticking out his tongue. Kaa, Ban and Don looked at each other, "Whose turn is it this time?" Kaa asked. Don raised his claw, "My turn! My turn!" Don said swimming over and diving under his father's tail. "He's a little more excited then he probably should be." Kaa said with a half smile Ban covered his mouth laughing, "Well, dad's tail is pretty long, let's get started!" Kaa and Ban went over and got to work. Kemba patted Theos's butt, "All sudded up, it's even cuter covered in bubbles." He said with a smile. Kemba pulled Theos and turned him over on his back, cradling him with one arm and using his free hand to begin to slowly scrub Theos underside from neck to member, "After what I witnessed last night, I'm going to take my time scrubbing that bastard's scent off of you. All you have to do is relax and enjoy Kemba's special service." Kemba said looking into Theos eyes as he floated close to him. Kemba gave him a quick kiss and smiled. Cora closed his eyes, "So bold..." He said, "I have to admit, it's difficult watching you two kiss. You're so much more mature then I like. Time sucks." Cora sighed, Kemba gave a half smile, "Would you prefer it if we didn't kiss one another in front of you?" Cora shook his head, "No....for you two I'll have to make an exception. Theos does have Midas's face so that makes it a little bit easier, before Belle he went on dates with a lot of the palace staff. I'd catch him kissing some girl almost every night. In fact, women flocked to him like Mothmon to flames. He usually said it was because I was his brother but he had a way of talking back then that made me wonder. It's any wonder how he saved himself for Belle..." Cora stated. "Sounds like your dad was a bit of a womanizer." Kemba said scrubbing down Theo's belly a little harder now. "At least we know you get those genes from him, you got me to fall in love with you pretty quickly." Kemba said remembering back. "Is that when you realized you liked boys?" Don asked popping up from the water. Kemba shook his head, "No no...I don't like boys and I don't like girls. I love Theos, he could have been born any gender and it wouldn't have mattered. Theos was always going to be the person I love. Before him, I never felt this way about anyone." Kemba answered. Don smiled, "I see. So it just so happens Theos is a guy, that's so sweet." Cora looked at Don, "This bum isn't going to clean itself you know." Don giggled, "I already finished pa. If I scrub it anymore, you're going to start losing scales." Cora wiggled his bum around causing Kaa and Ban to hold on to his tail for dear life, "Huh. Whaddya know." "Daaaaaaad! Stop moving!" Ban yelled out. "Sorry!" Cora said with a chuckle.

It wasn't long before Ban and Kaa joined their brother, "All done pa. You look like you're practically secreting bubbles." Kaa said. "Oh good, in that case it's your turn now." Cora moved to grab up his sons in his claws, "Waaa!" Ban cried out "We can scrub each other." Kaa said, "When was the last time I scrubbed you hatchlings? I want to return the favor, besides everyone else is doing it. I might as well." Cora reached for a hand full of soap and began to use his much larger claws to rub it into his sons. Before long, he was holding a ball of suds "I seem to have misplaced my sons..." Cora said looking around, each of their heads popped up one at a time from the suds. "We're right here!" Ban called out. "Oh! How'd you all get inside the soap ball? How silly of you." Cora said blowing away the extra bubbles leaving just his sons in his hand. The triplets laughing at their fathers antics, it brought a smile to Kemba's face as he was finishing up with Theo's body "Makes me think about my dad...though those memories are all but forgotten." Kemba said, looking down at Theos and nudging his nose to his. "All done." Kemba said, "Though you look so cute I don't know if I want to let you go." Kemba laughed. "Well time to wash off the soap and dry off, if we miss breakfast Raja will beat me up." Cora said. "Okaaaay!" The triplets replied, Cora looked over to Kemba and Theos "Are you two finished or do you wanna have more time?" Kemba shook his head, "As much as I like being here with Theos, we're done as well." Cora nodded, Cora let down his sons and stepped out of the water. "You two come over here then," Kemba nodded and hopped out to join them. Cora would wait for Theos to gather as well, "We're the same size." Ban said looking at Kemba and Theos, "It was hard to tell from the water!" He added. Cora looked down at everyone and smiled, "Time to rinse! Kaa?" Kaa nodded to his father and reached for a chain that was sticking out of the wall, when he pulled it the chandeliers began to spray water throughout the room rinsing the remaining suds off of everyone. "All clean!" Don said. "All that's left is to dry," Cora stood in front of them and opened his mouth and with a mighty huff and heated air stream pressed against them. Kemba had to close his eyes, his fur reacted to the sudden heat and puffed out which earned a laugh from the triplets. "He went all poof!" Don said pointing, Kemba looked surprised this was the first time this happened. "Wow...you dry us quickly..." Kemba said. "Yup, dad is a regular heater." Kaa said. "Sorry, perhaps I shouldn't have went full on with that." Cora said scratching his head.

Kemba shook his head, "It's okay." Kemba fixed his fur as best he could and looked at himself, "Wow...I don't think I've ever seen my fur so shiny or felt so soft before." Kaa walked over with Kemba's armor, "Here you go Kemba." Kemba nodded in thanks and dressed himself. "I'm ready to start the day!" Kemba said. "Shall we go to breakfast together?" Cora asked drying himself the old fashioned way. He was rubbing against a lengthy cloth attached to the wall made especially for him and Raja. "Let's go!" Don cheered, Ban clinged to Theos side, "Together! I wanna go with cousin!" He called out. Kaa walked alongside Kemba, "My brothers are annoying, I'm sorry." He said. Kemba chuckled, "Really it's fine. As long as Theos doesn't mind." Kemba said. Cora had dried off as best he could and headed for the door, "Well if everyone is ready let's get going." Cora said. Kemba looked at Theos, "After you." He said, the triplets would stay close to them as they traveled. Ban constantly brushed up against Theos.
