After arriving in the jungle, Dasuke let out a disgruntled groan. This was not exactly what he had in mind as an agent. He simply began to walk through the jungle in a straight line along the easiest to travel course. He turned to Ztyka and Tifa, and smiled that he had company on his journey. "Hey. I just wanna say again that I'm grateful for your assistance. You really didn't have to risk yourself like this. This isn't your fight." Dasuke paused after walking for awhile and leaned up against a tree to catch his breath. "As it is, this wasn't how I expected my day to go, either." Dantelion

Ztyka walked through the jungle with Dasuke her gaze constantly going into the trees. It sounded like a real jungle...she thinks. A movie jungle anyway with all the buzzing insects and birds singing. Her gaze would always eventually go back to the path however not wanting to trip on a root or run into a tree.
Tifa seemed content to run ahead then run back before they got out of sight. She was happy just to be out and about and the brief close sounds always made her stop and watch curiously. Her tail remained a forever weapon it seemed.
"It's alright. It isn't just for you. We are still rather inexperienced in the field. This would be a good exercise," Ztyka looked to Dasuke as he came to a rest. "As a senior member I will rely on you more than the other way around I am sure."
Tifa noticed their pause and came running back practically curling around her tamers legs and sitting her tail kicking up dirt. She waited patiently.
Ztyka's gaze went back down the path. "I won't be too much a burden however. I know how to handle myself in a fight," she stated. One could only guess though. She may hold herself with a powerful stance but here she was untested. She wondered if she was being too boastful....or maybe prideful.
"We'll work together and nothing can beat us," Tifa said smiling.

Dasuke smiled at the two, and folded his hands behind his head and leaned against the tree, looking up with his eyes closed. "I wouldn't exactly call myself a senior member. I've only been on two quests before this, and one of them was literally to rescue a cat out of a tree. I haven't been on a real mission like this before. However, I am pretty good with this bow, so I think we should be ok between us. Plus, we got Tifa here to be our ace in the hole." He said, and bent down to pat Tifa on her head.
Dasuke leaned back up against the tree and stayed there for a minute breathing and taking in the sounds of the jungle. Eventually he stood up straight and stretched. "Ok. I think we've rested long enough. We should keep moving. Umm. Did Ichi tell us exactly where this secret base is? Or what to look for? Because I just realized I have no idea where I'm going. We came from that way, so I guess we go this way?" Dasuke said, pointing in each direction as they came up. He began to slowly walk in the direction he indicated, but wasn't sure if it was the right path.

Tifa leaned into his pat nearly falling over when he stopped. He let out a big smile at his praise.
Ztyka stood in the middle of the path resting there with her arms crossed. Not much more of a senior then. Hopefully they didn't make a mistake doing this then. Tifa was untested in battle and while she could battle knives could be useless in the face of some foes. And who knew what digimon lived in that place. She looked to Dasuke when he spoke again and started moving. She followed.
"What's a silo," Tifa asked thinking back on his inquiry.
"A place to store grain or wheat," Ztyka responded. "We should look for a silo....and he mentioned a radio frequency." Ztyka said keeping a gentler pace. No use wasting energy when they had no idea which way to go. She rose her arm and started looking through he D.I.G. if they could find the frequency they could use the strength like a homing beacon.
Tifa listened to the static awhile then ran up to walk beside Dasuke. "My partner is really nice even if she's rough around the edges. She likes music a lot do you," Tifa asked her tail wagging.

Dasuke snapped his fingers at the mention of the silo. "That's right. I forgot about that. Well, I did get kind of distracted when I learned that a man I admired was really a cold blooded murderer. I still can't believe what he is capable of. I mean, what happened at that Dark Helix temple....I didn't see much, but I felt everything.... What is he? I never really looked into W.A.D.A. personnel in my studies. Just what they do as an organization." Dasuke continued to wander as Tifa came up alongside him. He wasn't really paying attention, so didn't quiet hear her. When he sensed her presence, he looked down and smile. "Oh! I'm sorry. I was in my own world. Did you say something Tifa?" "You are trouble aren't you. Don't worry everything will be okay. People do stuff for the best intentions. Even you," Tifa's tail wagged as she smiled. "You are trying really hard and we will too. Though my trainer is all business and no play on a mission," Tifa looked back to Ztyka. "It's okay though cause she's a good person like you too."
Ztyka continued to walk behind them. Her focus on her D.I.G. and trying to find that signal. She didn't notice the bend til she nearly walked off it into a tree. She frowned and looked up pacing herself back in behind them. She looked to Tifa who seemed happy as a lark to be here. She had such a friendly and playful personality.

Dasuke smiled and nodded at Tifa as she spoke, then bent down to pat her head again. He didn't try to truly pet her because scales are rough and not to pleasant to the touch if rubbed too long. He then took notice of Ztyka almost getting taken out by a tree and chuckled to himself. He slowed down to match her pace and walked side by side with her.
"So, we haven't really been properly introduced. I am Dasuke Moto and I have no clue what I'm doing. You are Ztyka and that's Tifa, and what is your story?" He asked in the most polite tone he could muster.

"My name s Ztyka Smith My story is a long pitiful one that starts in Russia and ends when I left it. Let us just say W.A.D.A. is a new start for me...one that I needed," Ztyka responded looking up at him. She wasn't grateful for the conversation but it had broken a rather odd and long silence between them. "And what of you Mr. Moto? What is it that has brought you to W.A.D.A."
Tifas tail wagged as she ran ahead a bit to give them room to talk. Then she stopped smelling at one of the bushes. Bit berry bush yum. There was no berries though and she ran back onto the path looking to them before running ahead again.

Dasuke was glad to have some kind of conversation now, but it was clear that his companion wasn't keen on talking."So, you're looking for a fresh start, huh? That's fair. I am kind of in that situation myself. My parents were agents also, and I wanted to follow in their footsteps. So I enlisted in W.A.D.A. about two years ago, after visiting the base many times during my life. I wasn't always a field agent, though. I was stuck doing boring security patrols aboard an impregnable fortress for a few years. I felt like some kind of anonymous drone from a movie or something. But one day, Master Scarsborough brought me into the fold of the Crimson Riders and the rest is history. Wow, looking back at it, this has been a crazy past few days. I should really apply for hazard pay after this one. What do you think?" Dasuke said, chuckling. He continued walking in the direction indicated, a bit more pep in his step now as he moved and let the tension die down.

As the W.A.D.A. agents traveled, a strange sensation would overcome Tifa. As if something was watching them, but upon scanning the humid jungle, with all of it's trees, roots and plants, nothing could be seen. It was also incredibly silent if they tried to listen to it. It would make one wonder if it was all in their head. Though Tifa's gut instinct would be very right, they were being hunted by a silent and hungry assassin, it watched them from afar. Moving ever so closer, taking extra care not to snap a twig or rustle a bush and give itself away.
The feeling of unease setting in for the young dragon, it was the only indication something was out there. Even if nothing could be seen or heard.

"We all probably should. Though I wouldn't know where I would spend it," Ztyka said looking into the trees a moment. He had opened up to her a bit maybe she should do the same. "I was apart of a rebellion in the Eurasian Republic. Our small group was taken into custody and all set in front of a firing squad. Only me and one other managed to escape capture," Ztyka said her dark past probably a bit off putting. She hoped he didn't ask for details.
Tifa was as usual prancing around when she suddenly stopped her nose to the air. She had caught a whiff of something. Another digimon? That shouldn't be a surprise since they were in a forest. It had been close though....she thinks. She looked back to where the pair was conversing and waited on them. It was probably safer to stay together. Her tail thumped at the ground as she waited.

Dasuke caught Tifa suddenly stop to look around, but didn't think much of it. He patted her head when she approached again. "I'm so sorry about your loss. I wish I could say something like 'I know how you feel', but I haven't come close to anything like that in my boring life. But you seem to be hanging on ok. Either that, or doing a good job of pretending it's behind you. Either way, I envy your courage and strength," he said to Ztyka smiling. Looking now to Tifa, he spoke again. "You alright there, Tifa? You look like you saw a ghost or something." Without really waiting for an answer, he began walking again in the direction they last headed in.

As they continued walking, their stalker stayed at a distance eyeing them. It was trying to determine which was weakest and easiest to kill as it's instincts determined. It stayed low to the ground, letting the thick brush of the jungle cover its yellow fur. It moved slowly around the front leaping past a set of bushes, it's large figure rustling the bushes enough to warrant notice but it would still not be seen.
At that moment, even Dasuke and Zytka would feel uneasy but no matter how hard they looked, they'd not be able to see their hunter. Which begs them this question, Why do they feel so uneasy?

Ztyka shrugged it off not many people did. Her gaze went to Tifa as she rejoined them. Her prancing gait having slowed a bit but it was still there. Her eyes quickly went out to the forest in response. Something was off she wouldn't just become quieter for no reason.
"I smelled something," Tifa said her tail waving above the ground. That didn't make Ztyka feel any better. She saw the bushes move and after a moment she chalked it up to imagination brought on by Tifa. Still though they should be more wary they were going deeper and deeper into the forest after all.

Dasuke paused as Ztyka was talking to Tifa. A chill ran up his spine. "Did you hear that?" He asked. As his back was turned, but he definitely heard leaves rustling. "I think you're right to be smelling thing, Tifa. I don't think we're alone here." Dasuke said, his voice trailing off. It was clear by his tone that he didn't just mean the casual Digimon that may make this forest this home. Dasuke sensed there was something sinister nearby, but he had no idea where. "Keep your eyes peeled," he said, his tone suddenly serious, and he drew his bow and notched an arrow, keeping it at the ready as he walked slowly forward, his head on a slow swivel.
