Aftermath

"So it seems I had a guardian wizard watching over me. You have done ten times more than any digimon could have asked. You are one of the best fathers and role model we could ever ask for," Magi felt humbled by the princes young words. He wasn't the first to say them, he had met countless during his long life but every era there always seemed to be a Theos. Those were the digimon he tried his hardest to help, because they were the ones that could change the world.

"With my peace of mind now. I think I'm going to go see how Kemba is feeling. I'm sure he is antsy just waiting for me," Magi nodded, "You're always welcomed here Theos." Magi went and sat down and opened back up his tome. "Kim it may not be your mothers cooking...but no one wants to see you starve to death. I am sure either one of them would tell you to continue your life," Kim looked at Theos and watched him leave the room before looking back at her food.

Kim suddenly began eating, Magi looked surprised at first and then gave her a soft smile before returning to his reading.

As Theos entered the room, Kemba and Kaa and Ban were all sitting on one bed. Kemba and Kaa were eating and Ban was happily watching them, his tail hanging off the bed wagging back and forth as usual. "This food tastes horrible." Kaa said, it seemed Magi had already visited them this morning. Their wounds had been healed. "This is the kind of food we had to eat every day in Bai Hu. Guess spending your whole life in that palace has made you stingy." Kemba chuckled. Kaa looked at him with flushed cheeks. "It's not like I'm not going to eat it..." He responded.

"Good! A cute prince like you should eat whatever is put in front of him." Kemba said purring. Kaa gave Kemba a soft smile, "I wish you wouldn't call me cute so much..." Kaa said taking another bite. "Ha ha ha..I can't help it! Besides, it isn't like anyone is here besides us. You could at least take the compliment." Kemba teased. Ban chuckled, "I think Kaa is cute too!" Kaa nearly choked on his food pounding his chest and then letting out a sigh of relief. "Ban...don't you start calling me that!" Ban and Kemba both laughed. "Besides...if anyone here has that position of cute, it's Ban. That is practically his definition. I'm the heir, so I'm supposed to be firm and tough." Kemba rolled his eyes, "Here we go again...Prince Kaa, heir to the throne! Young heartthrob to all ladies in Coraggio! Great warrior!" Kemba said exaggerating his teasing with hand motions.

"Yea! Exactly!" Kaa said feeling proud of himself. Kemba got a gleam in his eye and smirked at Kaa, "You didn't seem that way last night when you curled yourself around me and snored so innocently. You were practically cooing like a newborn." Kaa turned a deep red. "We...we...well...I didn't...you climbed into bed and laid with me! I...what was I supposed to do!?" Kaa said flushed and embarrassed. Kemba put his arm around Kaa's shoulders, "Don't worry Kaa...no matter how hard you try, we will always know who you really are!" Ban chuckled.

"Kemba's fur is soft isn't it? It makes sleeping on it so comfy!" Ban mentioned. "I got to sleep with Kemba and Theos when you and dad went on your trip!" Kaa looked at Ban, "I...I guess it is very soft and relaxing." He mumbled. Kemba stood up on the bed and placed his paws on hips, "Ha ha ha! This fur is Theos's pride and joy! I take great strides to keep it in pristine condition! I even had the servants buy a special blend of conditioner just to keep it glowing white and softer than a cloud!" Kaa's face was beat red as his eyes focused on Kemba's waist. A particular part of him unavoidable and in his face. "K...Ke...Kemba...sit down!" Kaa asked.

"Hm?" It was then that Kemba noticed Theos. "Hey you!" Kemba called out sitting down and Kaa looked away trying to recover. Ban's tail began to wag incredibly fast as his attention turned to Theos, "They are fine Theos! I did what you asked!" Ban said smiling. "Sending Ban to check on me? Maybe I should have sent Kaa to check on you too huh?" He purred. Kaa looked over to Theos, "H..hi...Theos..."

Theos watched with a smiled sitting there as Kemba boasted about his fur. Poor Kaa as embarrassed as ever in his presence. Sometimes it just made Theos want to burst into hysterical laughter. 


"Hm?" It was then that Kemba noticed Theos. "Hey you!"

"Morning," Theos replied.

"They are fine Theos! I did what you asked!" Ban said smiling. "Sending Ban to check on me? Maybe I should have sent Kaa to check on you too huh?"

"Being near us so much torture Kaa," Theos asked at his broken words before chuckling. "I see Magi has already healed you two. Now all we are missing is Don and Ike then the group will be together again."

Kemba nudged Kaa in the cheek, "He likes it though." Kemba smiled. Kaa gave a soft smile back, "I have certainly never been teased as much since you two entered my life...or rather Kemba." Ban chuckled, "It's because they love you!" Ban said leaping on his brother giving him a kiss on his head. "Baaaaaaaaan get off of me!!" Kaa said trying to push Ban off. "And I love you too!" Kemba laughed removing himself from the bed and walking beside Theos. The two continued to struggle behind them with Ban's laughter in the background.

"This is why we're going to win this thing Theos. Because of strength like that." Kemba said referring to the brothers. "Even after a horrid night of destruction...they find the strength to laugh. We're too strong. Stall can't break down what we've built." Kemba touched his nose together with Theos giving a worried look, "Magi told me everything that happened in Small Town, what Stall said too you. Are you holding up okay? You know you can talk to me if your not...it's what I'm here for." Kemba said holding Theos neck and staring into his eyes as they touched noses.

Theos chuckled at the boys. His gaze going to Kemba as he approached.

"This is why we're going to win this thing Theos. Because of strength like that." Kemba said referring to the brothers. "Even after a horrid night of destruction...they find the strength to laugh. We're too strong. Stall can't break down what we've built." Theos nodded he knew it was true, "Magi told me everything that happened in Small Town, what Stall said too you. Are you holding up okay? You know you can talk to me if your not...it's what I'm here for."

"I'm alright," Theos said as they touched noses. "I talked it out with Magi. Sought his wisdom and insight you could say. I feel better between him and Ban. I figured you would probably same the same thing as Ban. It is better to have me than not at all."

"The sense of kinship I feel from this country is strong. So I know no matter what they are there for me. So I should be there for them....and in spirit of that we should probably go see what we can do to help out. They are still hard at work outside I bet Cole is more tired than any of us if he's been up all night," Theos said smiling just a bit.

So I should be there for them....and in spirit of that we should probably go see what we can do to help out. They are still hard at work outside I bet Cole is more tired than any of us if he's been up all night," Kemba pulled away and looked to Kaa and Ban.

Kaa had finally broken free of his brothers grasp and jumped off the bed, running to Kemba and Theos's side. Ban chuckled as he followed after him, Kaa keeping his distance from Ban by placing Kemba in between them. Kemba looked at each Spinomon on the sides of him and laughed, "Okay you two...we should go get Ike and Don and go see what it is we can do to help out around town." Kemba said.

"Just as long as Ban doesn't kiss me again." Kaa said glaring at his brother who returned it with wide eyes and a bright grin. "Oh? What if I kiss you instead?" Kemba continued his relentless teasing, Kaa looked worried a slight red coming over him and he made his way to Theos hiding behind him. Kemba chuckled, "Not gonna lie, that stung a little." Kemba looked around, "Though I'm not going anywhere without my armor, being naked around town probably isn't the best way to start a morning."

Ban looked to a small closet in the corner, "Is it there?" Ban said pointing. "Let's find out." Kemba walked over and sure enough his armor wasn't inside. "Nope." Kemba picked up the visor and placed it on his head, "None of my other pieces are here..." Then he remembered, "Oh right! The nurse that took them off said she was going to go get it repaired. I wonder if she finished it...I guess for now we will go find Ike and Don." Kemba said walking back towards them.

Kaa slightly chuckled, "I'm sure Don won't mind seeing a naked Kemba waking him up." Kemba gave a nervous laugh, "Yea let's just hope it's not to awkward when we do." Ban nuzzled against Kemba as he reached their side. "Alright then. Whenever you're ready general." Kemba said teasing Theos.

"Okay you two...we should go get Ike and Don and go see what it is we can do to help out around town." Kemba said.



"Just as long as Ban doesn't kiss me again." Theos chuckled at the two. "Oh? What if I kiss you instead?" Theos rolled his eyes and chuckled letting Kaa hide behind him, "Not gonna lie, that stung a little." Kemba looked around, "Though I'm not going anywhere without my armor, being naked around town probably isn't the best way to start a morning."



"Is it there?" Ban said pointing. "Let's find out." Theos cocked his head waiting for the verdict. "Nope." Kemba picked up the visor and placed it on his head, "None of my other pieces are here..." Then he remembered, "Oh right! The nurse that took them off said she was going to go get it repaired. I wonder if she finished it...I guess for now we will go find Ike and Don." Theos nodded and smiled.

"I'm sure Don won't mind seeing a naked Kemba waking him up." Kemba gave a nervous laugh, "Yea let's just hope it's not to awkward when we do." Considering they have all bathed together multiple times it wouldn't be too strange.

"Alright then. Whenever you're ready general." Kemba said teasing Theos.


"All right let's go then," Theos said and smiled. He started down the hall for Don's room.

Ike was already awake and once more looking out the window. He was wondering where his father is and if he should bother him. He had an important role so Ike didn't want to get in the way.

Don too was awake, sitting on the end of the bed watching Ike. Their finished breakfast was off to the side, "Are you sure you've had enough to eat? I can ask for more...though I'm not sure how much hospital food one can bare. Ha ha." Don said, "We can go meet with Cole as soon as we're ready...I know you must be longing to see him."

Just then there was a knock at their door, Don turned to see who entered. Ban came running in chuckling and leaped onto the bed tackling a surprised Don to the floor. "Moooorning." Ban said with his tail wagging, Ban nuzzled his brothers face and Don smiled, "Good morning...." He responded.

Kemba and Kaa and Theos were next to follow in, "Hey you two." Kemba greeted, Ban removed himself from Don and he stood from the floor. "Hello, you're all looking well...I take it Magi came to see you too. Though my injury wasn't life threatening." Kemba nodded. Kaa moved over to Don and embraced him tightly, Don was surprised at first. "I heard what you did....thank you." Don turned a shade of red and pulled away from Kaa. "Don't thank me...you or Ban would have done the same..."

Kemba was confused, "What did Don do that you're being so huggy?" Kaa turned his head, "Don was here because he saved mom from an assassin. He took a knife to his torso that was aimed for mother's head." Kemba was impressed as his expression could indicate. "Wow...nice work Don. Your advice really paid off last night." Don shook his head, "Not as much as it probably should've...Small Town...Kim...I have to bare those deaths and her sorrow on my conscious because I couldn't predict Stall's movements. What I should have realized was a trap, I thought was a safe haven. I'll have to try better next time....if Theos would still have me advise him."

"No one could have known that Stall was in the city, Small Town wasn't a miscalculation. It was impossible to understand the chaos completely, for what you and Theos have done...you both saved more lives then were lost with what information we had." Kemba said.

Don smiled, "I suppose, but I can't help but feel guilty."

Ike was about to respond when suddenly the door burst open. "Moooorning." He turned looking and slightly smiled as Ban knocked Don to the floor, "Good morning...." He responded.



"Hey you two." Theos chuckled at the sight. "Hello, you're all looking well...I take it Magi came to see you too. Though my injury wasn't life threatening." Kemba cheered, "Here here!" He said with a smile. "Then we should go meet with Cole. The army will mobilize today...we don't have a choice, if we wait any longer the next attack will be the full force of the Scomparsan army and that is a battle we cannot win." Don said. "Not to mention, Ike is missing him." Don turned over to Ike and smiled.

Kaa nodded, "Today was supposed to be the meeting to determine ranks too. I wonder how father is doing." Ban nodded in agreement, "Yes...you haven't seen him yet...well...let's just say that he defended the Palace alone. A rage much like we saw in the training room. Father is truly a terrifying monster." Don said remembering back to the palace.

"Happy and rage are often the same coin on opposite sides. Father's love for everyone drives him into a killing frenzy." Kaa said. Kemba crossed his arms, "I'm glad Cora loves us then...if we ever had the misfortune of fighting him for real.." The thought scared him a bit.

"Where is Cole then?" Ban asked, "It looks like he's gathered in the noble district. It's one of the few places with the least amount of damage. Good job defending it by the way." Don praised.

Kemba looked like he was struggling to remember something, Kaa cocked his head slightly, "What's wrong Kemba?" He asked. "Anyone else get the feeling we're missing someone?"

"Here here!" He said with a smile. "Then we should go meet with Cole. The army will mobilize today...we don't have a choice, if we wait any longer the next attack will be the full force of the Scomparsan army and that is a battle we cannot win." Don said. "Not to mention, Ike is missing him." Ike scratched his muzzle slightly. Admittedly he was although he wasn't going to complain.



Kaa nodded, "Today was supposed to be the meeting to determine ranks too. I wonder how father is doing." Ban nodded in agreement, "Yes...you haven't seen him yet...well...let's just say that he defended the Palace alone. A rage much like we saw in the training room. Father is truly a terrifying monster." Scary thought. Cora was probably a hundred times stronger than most.

"Blake," Theos commented. "Stall broke his knee. I'm sure Magi probably went and healed him too. I guess that's our next stop," Theos chuckled.

"Right! Good ol' Blake." Kemba said. Don shook his head, "It's probably for the best if we just go meet with Cole....from what I hear Blake is indisposed currently." Kaa and Ban didn't understand Don's meaning, "That would explain the head Sistermon yelling a few...colorful words....at some other nurses for fraternizing with the patients. I use that word loosely..." Kemba said. Kaa turned a bright red at the thought, "Oh...my." He said. Ban was still confused, "What does indisposed mean?" He asked.

He earned a look from his brothers who turned away, refusing to answer. Kemba walked over placing a paw on Ban's head, "It means Blake needs some privacy for a little bit." Ban still didn't quite get it but he was satisfied with that answer. "So then, shall we go?" Don asked the room.
