Into the Dragons Mouth

"I will," Kemba moved his head up when he saw Theos approach. "I will marry you Kemba." He was met with a kiss from his new fiance, and this one felt and tasted differently somehow. It tasted better and felt warmer. Theos sealed their new promise of marriage in the form of a passionate kiss. Kemba wrapped his arms around Theos head and neck closing his eyes to return Theos love. The sudden change of warmth leaving his body, Ban had stirred, opening an eye and seeing the two in their intimate moment.

Ban smiled and closed his eye returning to sleep. After a long moment that too them seemed too brief, Kemba had stopped and rested his forehead against Theos looking him in the eyes while rubbing the back of his head with the paw that embraced it.. "I am truly the luckiest digimon in the world. To be engaged to a wonderful digimon. This means that officially I can't be your weapon anymore since we're too be married....eventually." Kemba chuckled.

"No more ordering me...and I promise to keep my head and listen too you...just as you should listen too me....and if sometime in the future...one of us thinks it is best for us to go our separate ways...neither of us should let the other go no matter what. Till death due us part...right?" Kemba touched his nose to Theos. His warm feeling in his chest almost felt like a high.

"I belong to you forever and always Theos the Theowmon." Kemba closed his eyes and gave Theos another quick kiss on his lips giving a smile. Kemba pulled his head away and moved his paws to caress Theos's cheeks, "I love you...I always have."

"I am truly the luckiest digimon in the world. To be engaged to a wonderful digimon. This means that officially I can't be your weapon anymore since we're too be married....eventually." Theos nodded. He felt a sense of lightness to his body. It was kind of like floating on air or perhaps falling. It was hard to tell which. Either way though it left his heart pounding and his eyes soft and glowing in the firelight.

"The feeling is mutual," Theos said resting himself against Kemba. His gaze going out to the fire. "Hard to imagine all the things that just happened. Yet it feels so peaceful now. I have to say you got a rather handsome evolution as well. Did it tire you out?"

Kemba smiled looking at Theos, "I'm glad you approve of my adult form...I'm not old enough to maintain it so it is exhausting." Kemba walked over to the fire with Theos leaning into him. He laid down and cuddled Theos into his body, leaving no room between them. Kemba rested his chin on Theos's head, his arms wrapped around Theos waist, his paw stroking Theos stomach. This moment was surreal, outdoors by a fire. Even after the events of today, it was surreal. The survived one more day and that brought them closer.

"This feels different all of a sudden you know?" Kemba said allowed. "Maybe because we're officially family now." Kemba mentiononed. He reached for Theos ear and blew gently on it. "I feel like nothing can touch us again...no matter the future." Kemba's tail wrapped around Theos's tail and began to sway slowly with it.

His breathing matched Theos and he could feel the beating of Theos's heart vibrate to his stomach as he stroked it. His own matched its rythme He felt one with him, their warm bodies together like this staving off the cold. He reamined there, enjoying the sensations. He found himself purring lowly against Theos back.

"You know...I'm the first of my kind...to ever evolve...as weapons...we're not supposed to evolve...and focus on our own strength. For the sake of our masters, we're strongest when we combine our power with theirs...but I think that teaching was wrong...I've never felt stronger. Though, if you want me to, I won't evolve anymore." Kemba said, his foot moving to sit between Theos's hind legs. His purring continued.

"I'm glad you approve of my adult form...I'm not old enough to maintain it so it is exhausting." Theos walked with him and lay by the fire. The feeling of him laying against his back wonderful and comforting. 

"This feels different all of a sudden you know?" Kemba said allowed. "Maybe because we're officially family now." They had always been family. His ear twitched at Kembas blowing. "I feel like nothing can touch us again...no matter the future."

"I don't mind it," Theos said happily. "You are big and strong when your evolved. It was nice not having to walk for a change. I might make you my royal mount." Theos teased letting out a chuckle.

Kemba joined in his chuckle, "You can make me anything you want." He replied. In all this excitement with the camp, Ban and now their engagement...Kemba couldn't find the strength too sleep. His stomach was still fluttery with excitement. "We do pick the oddest times too be romantic." Kemba noted.

"Though really...tomorrow isn't promised...and I wanted to ensure our unity....so that is what really lead to this...after seeing Remmy...and Ban...essentially die....I couldn't risk that for us without knowing for sure." Kemba's rub turned into a pat on Theos stomach. He laughed, "Now my mind is so wired from you saying yes, I can't seem to grow tired...but that is fine I think." Kemba rubbed his cheek against Theos's head.

"I will bring in the new day...holding your sleeping body in my arms..if I can't sleep. Who knows when we can be this close to one another again. I want to savor it." Kemba kissed his head, "I never get tired of holding you."

Kemba's cheeks flushed with a thought, "I don't normally ask such things because it usually just...happens....but...so far we've only ever mated one another after something terrible...and to renew our love. After this war....Theos would you take me again? This time because we're happy...and to mark our union...." Theos could tell Kemba was embarrassed by the way he asked.

"Sorry to ask such an embarrassing thing so suddenly..." Kemba replied. Kemba continued to stroke Theos stomach as he lay there in silence, looking out too the fire with Theos. "We will win this thing...I know we will."

"Ban is alive and while i wonder where you got it I hope the price wasn't too high," Theos said and looked back to Kemba. "No one walks onto a battlefield for no reason just to give away a life saving vial. Should I be worried?"

Kemba gave Theos a genuine smile, "On the contrary, the price was so simple and I would have given it even without the vial. I met someone we can trust with all of our hearts. I can't say more, but I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised when he comes back." Kemba kissed Theos lovingly.

"Now, unless you want to stay up all night kissing me, because if you keep staring at me with those eyes of yours that is what is going to happen, you need to get some sleep. I don't know the words to your dads song like you do, but I know the tune. I can hum it too you if you need it to go to bed. Though I would be lying if I said I didn't hope you chose the former." Kemba chuckled sticking out his tongue and winking.

I can't say more, but I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised when he comes back." Pleasantly surprised and someone they could trust with every fiber of their hearts? Theos heart pounded slightly. Had it been his father? Theos knew he had been watching.

"We unfortunately need to rest. Come tomorrow we are going to need all our energy for the battle," Theos said closing his eyes and basking in the light glow of the fire and the warmth from it and Kemba's body heat.

That thought at Kemba's forefront made him realize the situation but his feelings never changed. He'd enjoy the moment right now, and deal with that in the morning.

Kemba moved his other arm underneath Theos side, and pulled him into a hug, allowing Theos head to rest on his arm like a pillow. The soft furred arm a nice change from the rocky ground he was sure. Kemba kissed Theos ear before whispering, "I hope you dream something wonderful for a change." Kemba rested his cheek against Theos and began to hum the tune to his fathers song, while continuing to stroke his lovers underside. He would hum it lowly and slowly to relax Theos into his sleep. Kemba would hum it until he heard the sweet breathing of a slumbering Theos, then he would listen to him while he laid in his arms. The breaths would be a solemn lullaby to the feline and soon would fall asleep.

Theos lay into Kemba comfortably. He slightly disliked the feel of the metal desiring more skin to skin but who knew how far their enemy was. It was better to be prepared, "I hope you dream something wonderful for a change." They both did. Theos relaxed there in his arms his eyes closed and his ears perked listening to the crackle of the fire. They slowly fell limp as he drifted off into slumber. The stress of the day finally catching up and giving him a soundless sleep.


Where was he? All he could see was endless sand. The sky was a bright orange like the sun was setting. His hooves seemed to move on their own walking towards the sun. Only it wasn't the sun that glowed so brightly but a city. A city of fire only nothing was burning and as Theos got closer no one was there. No screams nothing but dead silence not even the fire made a sound. A sudden noise happened making him jump.


Theos woke with a slight start. The fire had died and the timbers had crumbled inwards. That had been what had startled him from his dream. He looked up at the dawning sky a light blue and orange looking beautiful. The silence in his dream must have been from the fire dying. Theos sat up and began licking his mane. His tongue catching the sand that stuck to his clay like fur. He looked to his leg he had wounded last night. It was hardly there anymore his clay having moved down over it closing and filling in the wound.

Theos would look around for Ban and Kemba if they weren't still asleep.

Ban was still asleep, close to Theos side. He was dreaming of running as his legs were moving in his sleep and he had a string of drool from a happy smile on his maw. Kemba was not around but it wasn't long before Theos saw the adult level Bengalmon making his way over the dunes at a face pace.

He came to a halt in front of Theos, the first thing he did was greet Theos with a nuzzle of his head, "You're awake...good." After his greeting he looked to Ban and licked his face until the prince stirred. He made a guttural noise as he woke, rubbing his eyes after a yawn.

"There isn't much time, I have been awake for three hours and back tracked to the enemy's last location. They've already passed us, we need to move now. I can run faster then them and make it back to camp before they can reach our army but we have to move now." Kemba knelt down for them to climb on his back.

"No breakfast...?" Ban asked. Kemba smiled, "You'll be able to eat as much as you want after we win the day. We must hurry, quickly now Ban." Ban nodded with tired eyes and climbed onto Kemba and looked around as Theos boarded. "Where...where is Remmy?" He said realizing the Agumon's disappearance.

Kemba closed his eyes, choosing not to answer and waited for Theos.
