Cora's Camp 2

"He said the best course of action was to hit them while their down," Theos became worried. No movement from the troops? So he didn't take his men with him if he left. "If his troops are still here he went alone if at all. What in the world would he be doing?"

Magi hummed to himself trying to think what exactly it was Don could be doing since he lied to Theos. Then it hit him, "Oh my..."

Magi lifted Theos and placed him back on the ground, "I fear this is my fault this time." He began.

"When I had brought Kaa into his tent to save him, the procedure even with my magic took two hours. Don was an emotional wreck, trying his hardest to stay strong as he talked to Ban and tried to get him to leave. I hadn't noticed Don finished with that and I was thinking allowed to myself. I said that I'd be able to save Kaa and wake him if I could reverse engineer the magic that afflicted him. I didn't realize Don heard me. That must be why he backed his father so strongly." Magi shook his head,

"This was never about attacking them for Don...this was about saving and waking up Kaa from the very beginning. That's why you couldn't talk him down, because he had you fooled. You were thinking exactly what he wanted. Don is going to try and get the dark magic...even if he succeeds...there is no telling what kind of effects that magic will do to him just by touching it." Magi was now the worried one he began to pace.

"Curse my incessant wagging tongue!" Magi scoffed at himself. "I will go after him, but we must find Ike. He has to take over medical duties in my absence."

"Oh my..." Theos looked up at Magi questioningly. "I fear this is my fault this time." His fault? Theos cocked his head as he was placed upon the ground.

Reverse the magic? So Don was after one of those orbs. Theos fur stood on end. That meant he had gone alone to steal one and that put him in ten times more danger than Theos had originally thought.

"Don't worry I'll find him. You go help Don without his army marching with him he is most likely there already. I'll find Ike and we'll watch over Kaa," Theos said watching Magi. "That orb is too dangerous to be touched directly." Maybe that dinohumon had been turned black just by holding onto it for so long before using it.

Magi shook his head, "There are certain things I must inform Ike on first. The patients have certain needs. He'll need to be told the proper medications for each. I will search for him." Magi turned to his desk, taking a small bottle with a blue scale inside out from a bin underneath. There were several bottles with different things, all labeled with initials.

He reached in and took it out and encased it in his hands, "This is a shed scale from Ike's arm. I'll be able to use it to locate him and speak directly to his mind." Magi focused on the scale, a warm glow surround his embrace of it.

After a moment, Magi opened his eyes "Oh no..." He began. "This spell only works if the previous owner is within a few hundred feet of me. It's short range, I can't find Ike which means he is no longer in the camp. He must have gone with Don." Magi turned and placed his hands on his desk and threw down his head in a display of defeat.

"I...I cannot go. Not when there is to many relying on my medicine. Why would Ike do such a thing? He should realize how dangerous it is and stop him..."

"There are certain things I must inform Ike on first. The patients have certain needs. He'll need to be told the proper medications for each. I will search for him." Of course there were a lot of people to attend to. Theos sat and waited watching as Magi pulled out a vial.

"I...I cannot go. Not when there is to many relying on my medicine. Why would Ike do such a thing? He should realize how dangerous it is and stop him..."

"He did what you told me to do at first. He's supporting him. Ike was only insistent that he took a healer with him. Ike must have gone with him to make sure he doesn't die," Theos responded. "He knows it is dangerous but he knew better than to fight him. Rather he'll probably make sure the damage is limited and bring Don back here."

Magi shook his head, "It isn't Don I am referring to. It was Ike, it isn't like Don to allow someone to go untrained into a dangerous situation. What would Cole think? This is troubling. Ike is still a greenhorn in medicine...he may not be able to protect Don." Magi turned around and took a deep breath.

"I must trust the young prince is smart enough to bring them both home. All I can do is ensure that the camp is well cared for. I'm sorry this didn't turn out how you liked Theos. Perhaps you should be with Kemba now. It may help ease your worry. I will need to think of what to tell Cole..."

"It isn't Don I am referring to. It was Ike, it isn't like Don to allow someone to go untrained into a dangerous situation. What would Cole think? This is troubling. Ike is still a greenhorn in medicine...he may not be able to protect Don." Theos frowned unsure what to do. Going after them now would just make matters worse.

"Kemba is seeing to tonights defense. I am sure he will go check on me in our tent though. I should return there and wait to let him know what is going on," Theos said standing up. He started for the tent flap. "I am sure they will be okay. They won't let anything happen to one another." Don most of all. He loved Ike though he wouldn't tell him. So he was sure to protect him.

"I'll talk to you later," Theos said heading for the flap.

Theos was still worried it was only natural. He left the tent however and headed for his own. He headed inside and hopped onto the bed settling down. He began to lick his mane unable to sleep.

Hours went by before Kemba showed back up, his Spaliomon form walking into the tent flap. He was fairly big so his back end stuck out of the flap.

"Theos hun, I'm here to check up on you. So far all is quiet, have you slept at all babe?" His head rested on the end of the bed.

"I haven't heard anything from any of our scouts, it looks like Scomparsa may not bother with us after all." He said giving Theos a smile.

"I haven't heard anything from any of our scouts, it looks like Scomparsa may not bother with us after all."

"Well that is one good thing," Theos said smiling a bit. He sat up from where he had been laying reading the book. "I haven't really slept. Ike went with Don and they went without his forces." Theos said a bit crestfallen. "I hope they return soon."

Kemba devolved back to Spadamon and climbed up on the bed, "Yes...I heard. I just spent the last thirty minutes calming Cole with Magi. That is why I am here." Kemba reached for Theos hoof and held it smiling at him.

"I knew you'd be worried sick." Kemba laid down, "Cole has taken over duties seeing as he can't sit still worried about Ike. My job is to be here for my fiance."

He thought of nearly everything and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, he planned for this venture and he will make it. Ike is also with him and Don now has someone he must protect which means he's probably thought of something full proof. He's going to come back and then we're going to wake up Kaa." Kemba smiled.

"That's why until they do, I will be here for you and forever after."

"I feel a little better knowing Ike is there. Don is just as brash as his brother. Only in a different way. I am sure Ike will make sure he gets home safely," Theos was glad for his company.

Kemba wrapped his arm around Theos and gave him a kiss on his head, "They remind me of us in a way you know? How we used to be before I realized I was in love with you." Kemba thought back, staring up at the top of the tent.

That is why they'll come back because they're strongest together. We pulled one another from the brink. They'll do the same."

Kemba started to rub Theos as they lay there, "I miss our bed back in the palace. It has your scent so strongly on it and it is better overall. I can't wait when this is all over and I can be in it again." Kemba chuckled and looked at Theos leg.

"They remind me of us in a way you know? How we used to be before I realized I was in love with you." Theos ears perked and he cocked his head at Kemba.

That is why they'll come back because they're strongest together. We pulled one another from the brink. They'll do the same." Always chasing his heels huh? He was right about one thing. They were strongest together though he still didn't quite see the comparison. He had done that earlier too; comparing him to Don.

"I miss our bed back in the palace. It has your scent so strongly on it and it is better overall. I can't wait when this is all over and I can be in it again." Theos agreed that bed was a lot more comfortable. They had been spoiled by it after sleeping on the hard ground.

Theos flexed it a bit in its binding, "It's better than it was. He had done a lot of damage to my body. So my body just had to work its way down to the less important parts."

"I do wonder how Raja is doing with the castle so empty. I bet she and the others are hard at work rebuilding so the soldiers have homes to come back to," Theos said smiling softly.

Kemba nodded, "She is a strong woman. Probably stronger then this whole army combined. She is doing what she needs to do. She has just as much a part of this war as anyone."

Kemba gave it a brief thought, before turning the subject again "When do you want to tell everyone? Of our marriage?" Kemba asked. He rubbed his paw down Theos's back, scratching slowly and tracing circles on it.

"Everything has been so tense, we have't been able to say anything. I wonder if there will ever be a time to tell them. I want to shout it to the world that you're my husband." Kemba chuckled and kissed Theos's head again.
