Founded by the descendent of Daimon Masaru, Daimon Sanji; and the head of the organization Hypnos; Yamaki Ino. The agency's mission is to prevent any further misuse of digimon tamers, sometimes by any means. Sanji lead the organization until he died of radiation poisoning. Yamaki Ino now runs it alone at the top to this very day and she has made her organization a separate authority in the worlds. W.A.D.A. deals with tamer or digimon related incidents that cause problems for the nations or the digital world. W.A.D.A. agents are stripped of their citizenship upon joining to prevent any act that could be viewed as treason. This also prevents the agents from being used as weapons for the American Federation or Eurasian Republic. Any agent that refuses is not allowed to join. Their main headquarters is the Digital Space Station Tartarus. It rivals the size of Earth's moon and exists in the digital space a dimensional area that sits between the physical world and digital world and acts as the only way to enter either world from the other. It houses all the agents comfortably. Right now, W.A.D.A. has 700,000 agents at it's disposal.
W.A.D.A. engineers have produced the Digital Intervention Gauntlets or D.I.G. the most advanced digivice to ever exist. With it W.A.D.A. agents are superior to the countries tamers who use older models. In addition to the D.I.G., W.A.D.A. scientists have mastered bio engineering increasing their human agents physical attributes ten fold by adding digimon DDNA into their human DNA giving them enhanced health and endurance. Muscle mass and bone structure improvement and faster healing capabilities. Each agent goes through weapon and self defense training to be able to do battle with digimon in case they have no partner of their own or their partner passed.
Because of W.A.D.A's sheer numbers the agents have formed different branches which they entitled Guilds which are run by Guild leaders. Guild leaders are senior and very powerful W.A.D.A agents who keep track of their guild members and send annual reports to Ino. These guilds each have their own room; or depending on their size, their own wing of Tartarus. Within these Guilds are electronic quest boards that update with missions that any agent can choose to take alone or with a group. W.A.D.A. agents are given military like credentials to identify themselves to anyone they need to. W.A.D.A. agents can arrest any target if they need to and send them to a prison located in the Africa Wastelands.
However, even the W.A.D.A. are not immune to corruption and some have gone AWOL for their own nefarious deeds. Some reports of Shadow Guilds have made it's way back to Ino. That being said...W.A.D.A. takes care of it's internal problems....harshly...and without remorse. What side will you fall on?
