Theos hooves his the sand softly. His nose nudging a rather large rock along. It was good strength training for his legs and neck. And nose...it kinda hurt. He stops catching his breath. It was a mundane task and probably wouldn't get an immediately better but it would help. He put his head back down pushing the rock along. How thoughts only on how hot today is.
The cacti's lined his path and a thin line in the sand marked his goal. He went well beyond it though. Apparently he was stronger than he thought. or more hearty he didn't know which. it could have also been his hearty meal of rocks. they were delicious. He loved it. He had a home he could go home to. A home he wouldn't have had if he hadn't decided to set out like he did. It was a nice feeling.
He became oblivious to the world around him.

The Gekomon that called the area home had been laying on their backs in the sun and didn't notice the intruder while they were snoring away. However one of the younger one had been sunbathing when the rock rolled over his back legs and startled him into a fit of rage. He blinked back tears as he saw the one responsible for his pain that made his friends looking up as he howled his rage.
"Hey you! What are you doing in our neck of the area?! Answer me, I demand an answer right now!!!!!" He cried as he limped towards Theos. "Hey! I'm talking to you!!!!!" He said crawling along side him. It became obvious that this digimon had no idea he was there.
He went to kick the loose gravel at Theos in an attempt to blind him. After that he would keep up the assault until the gravel landed into a pit around Theo's.

"Hey you! What are you doing in our neck of the area?! Answer me, I demand an answer right now!!!!!"Theos faintly heard the call but he wasn't sure it was for him. "Hey! I'm talking to you!!!!!" Theos stopped as the digimon kicked gravel at him.
He lifted his head up sharply and stared at the Gekomon before him bewildered. He was wary after the gravel had hit him. Though it hadn't hit him in the head it was definitely aimed there.
"Oh, umm....hello. What is wrong?" he says cocking his head. The Gekomon looked very agitated. He wasn't sure why though.

The Gekomon who had been sunning themselves looked up at the commotion their youngest had caused and they knew this new comer had done it. They watched as Theos questioned him and how the small one reacted poorly. The Gekomon looked at Theos as he was questioned. "You hurt my back feet, you jerk!" He said pointing to his throbbing feet with annoyance.
The other Gekomon waited for Theos reply, it would decide in their minds if he got attacked again or not. It was hard to say given the young one's mind set. He was angry now and if he grew angrier then Theos would have to decide if he fought or not. But it seemed the fight would happen either way.
The winds began to pick up as they waited for the response from Theos.

"You hurt my back feet, you jerk!" Theos looked down at his legs he had no idea he had....perhaps he thought it was just another rock in the terrain.
"I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention. My mind kinda wondered. I hope you'll forgive me." Theos said innocently. He truly meant it. His mind had went off on all that happened these past few hours even days. His training had seemed so simple; he had just sort of fallen into the pattern and it had lulled him into a semi-sleep state.

The Gekomon considered his words as he watched Theos. He seemed sincere enough and he didn't really want to battle. However he could hear the voices of the other young ones. They demanded a fight for his honor. The Gekomon looked at Theos with a torn expression, one akin to pain. He was losing face in front of his peers and his hope to be the next leader was fading before his eyes.
His temper flared as he was eyed on by his peers. "I do forgive you, they want a battle. i want to be the next leader but my heart is not into battling as it should be." He said quietly so his Brethren couldn't hear them. "Do forgive me but I need to reinstate my claim for leadership." He said as he made up his mind.
He would attack first and ask questions later. He went to charge him and should he evade he was prepared to kick gravel at him.

"I do forgive you, they want a battle. i want to be the next leader but my heart is not into battling as it should be." Theos understood to a degree. "Do forgive me but I need to reinstate my claim for leadership."
As the gekomon surprised him with a tackle he rolled onto his back. He knew he had to fight back and make it realistic. He nips at gekomon his teeth scraping him arm should it hit. Otherwise he would get up and charge him his rock hard head aiming for his stomach.

The scraping of his arms against his teeth sent the Gekomon into a deeper rage as he attempts to head butt Theos in the stomach. Should that fail he would attempt a strong kick to his back legs to catch him off balance. His eyes shone with fury as he prepared for a miss of both head butt and kick.
The other Gekomon watched in amazement as the two seemed to be neck and neck. Was it possible that this Theos could beat one of their own? The elders had no answers as they too watched the battle with growing awe and respect. It seemed that this Gekomon was worthy of climbing their ranks.

Theos pulled away avoiding the head butt but took a kick in the face by a wild leg. He snarls and snaps at that leg. Then he turns sharply wither his teeth had hit or not and snaps at his side. He then twists away kicking out with his back hoof as he hops away gaining some distance so he could properly judge his foe.

The Gekomon reacted with glee as the kicked connected. He had miscalculated his foe when he thought he wouldn't fight back and the snap at his legs and side had him seeing red. They both connected to his disbelief sending him into a deeper rage. He was too upset to see that Theos was a match for him or more. Having Theos back up and assess him only made it worse as he glared at his foe. He needed an edge and he needed it now as he watched him. No doubt Theos had been trained by someone but who was the question.

Theos stood there out of range of his kicks. He could see the anger in the Gekomons glare. However he had also seemed to calm. He had not rushed him again wildly. The Gekomon was sizing him up as well it seemed. He shifted his hoof as though to move. His head lowered slightly. He began hopping side to side slowly approaching. Once he was in range of the Gekomons kicks he bounced back again. He didn't attack but rather hopped around the Gekomon. Once he felt the Gekomon wasn't expecting him to attack he did. He hopped up aiming to slam his head on his foes.
Should the Geckomon predict his movements and somehow trip him up he would still rush in and headbutt him. However his momentum would be lacking and he would hop away again wither it hit or not.

The Gekomon could not predict his moves at all due to the rage he had built up from within. The head butt connected with little effort and force so he hopped back away from his foe. He sized him up again now completely enraged and unable to think clearly. He pondered his moves as he watched him closing in by hopping like Theos had done. He shot his tongue out for his Tongue Attack (ベロ攻撃 Bero Kougeki?) and if it connected it would knock Theos back a fair amount but should it miss it would come back hitting Gekomon in his face and possibly knock him out. The odds were 50/50 for either digimon.

Theos leaped over the tongue it went in between his front and hind legs. As the tongue recoiled it wrapped around his body pulling him along. He yelped as he was brought into the gekomons face and both landed with a thud entangled in the tongue. Theos blinked sand out of his eyes dazed. The hit had been heavy. He was sure it would have broken ribs if he had any. He just laid there in the tongue wondering if he should try to get out. Maybe the gekomon would know how to untangle his own tongue. He looked to his foe not wanting to struggle and entangle them more.

The Gekomon had not calculated the entanglement of his tongue against Theo's body. This was evident on his face as he tried to think of a way to get untangled. He didn't want this to botch his attempts to be the top Gekomon. The seconds turned into minutes as he tried and failed to figure a way out of this. His whole body hurt from the battle and his will to go on was slipping as the tongue gradually unwound itself. The Gekomon fell back onto his back legs as he closed his eyes. The pain as too much for him. Was he meant to lose to Theos and never climb the ranks to his destined spot?

Theos watched the Gekomon quietly he didn't move and Theos became worried. He looked around to the other Gekomon who watched with bated breathe. Looking back to the Gekomon whom he had fought he decided it was time for some action.
He made a show of struggling to get up. He wined and complained of how his leg hurt. He whimpered and struggled to pull himself from the Gekomons tongue. Pretending his body refused to cooperate. He had no idea why this Gekomon had wanted to win so bad. However, he did know no one wanted to look bad in front of their own family. Something he would never have to actually go through.
"I...." he breathed heavily faining pained breathes. "I do not know how.... but you have bested me.....that tongue of yours....it is powerful." He collapses only a few feet away. He closes his eyes and pretends to pass out. His ears remain alert however so he could hear whatever happens next. He was willing to throw the battle for someone he had never met.
