Talvi stepped into the gym. Her first thoughts being that some of the equipment was way too big. Then again digimon could get really big. There was a pedestal on the other side of a large mat. What was that for? Curiosity peaked she went over and began tapping buttons. It seemed to be a holographic training stimulation. Which was the best way to learn in her opinion. It was the way most high leveled techies learned.
She went through it a bit and finally settled for a rank 5 out of 100 digimon. What type? She didn't really know so she hit random. Then she stepped back as it whirred to life. Processing her request.
Talvi stepped back and went towards one side of the mat. Now all she had to do was....evolve? She looked to her D.I.G. and started looking at it's menu. She found the data on her new form.
Enter Passcode Shortcut: _ |_ _ _ _ _
"Initialize," she said into her D.I.G.
ACCEPTED
Right then. She made a fist and watched as the rest of the hologram finished. She was surprised at the quality. Her eyes turned to her foe questioningly to see what it is.

As Talvi watched, the entirety of the room would change. She would find herself on a beach, with the sand, breeze, and water feeling as real as real could be. She could run her hands through it and splash around if she so felt. It was quite a beautiful sight.
"ENEMY SPAWNED. SIMULATION INITIATED"
The robotic voice seemed to come from everywhere and no where at once. However, there was nothing in sight in any direction. What enemy?
Talvi would have no warning as, evolved or not, a barrage of black sludge shot up and out of the water and would impact her on her spot on the beach. Should it hit, her skin would begin to sizzle and burn as the toxic sludge ate away at it.

The sky was blue and the waves rolled calmly across the sand. Her first thought was about getting it in her shoes. It was so real. Then she remembered she wasn't on the beach at all and her gaze went to looking for her enemy. An unseen enemy it seemed. As there was nothing around as far as she could see. A glitch?
She heard a small splash as suddenly something came propelling out of the water. Her first instinct was to dodge so she hopped to the side looking at the sludge. It bubbled and didn't look friendly. In fact it looked like tar. It seemed her enemy was in the water. She should have known that. She's played enough games.
"Right then, Initialize," She said bringing her D.I.G. up in front of her.
She felt strange as her data seemed to change. Until finally she felt and looked a bit taller. She examined her arms. White feathers and talon like hands. She was the very thing she fought in that place. A Harpymon....which meant she could fly.
She started flapping her arms to little avail. She would run off to the side if her foe tried attacking again. Birds did it naturally. So she should have to think but simply do. She took a deep breath and let it out relaxing a bit as she ran forward a few steps and leaped. Her arms outstretched to catch the air. Slowly but surely she gained height with rather wobbly and mis-timed flaps. She had managed to get air borne though so it was a victory in and of itself.
She flew above the water in circles looking for her foe. She could just barely make out a shadow. A rock? Or maybe coral. This was life like after all.

Talvi's instincts served her well spotting the dark mass. It was no coral, as evidenced by another barrage of gunk rocketing out of it with no warning. Hit or miss, the shadow would begin to move and shoot to the surface of the water, revealing itself. "Octomon!" It shouted as it broke the surface, it brandished its ink gun and sword in a grand fashion as it floated there. It would float there and eye Talvi as she flew or watch her cry in pain as the ink did its job.

Talvi forgot to flap in surprise. She dropped a bit before she remembered to flap. Her wings out of time for a moment as she tried straightening herself. The gunk had missed again luckily. Though she doubted that luck would remain for long. Forgetting to flap was a mistake a bit but it had worked in her favor. Maybe a technique she could use in the future.
For now though she had to retaliate on the giant red octopus below her. She felt like making noise at it. An odd thought. But another instinct she may as well use. Her voice rose in volume. It sounded strange in her ears but at the same time beautiful. She looked down as she sang her song watching to see if it had any effect on the octopus.

The Octomon continued to swing its weapons around threateningly. That is until Harpymon's song it its ears. It used its free tentacles to cover up and try to block out the sound, but to no avail. Instead of diving below the water for safety, the dazed Octomon instead swam up and onto the beach, thrashing around in the sound trying to get the noise to stop. While no physical damage was being done, the sound was maddening. Soon enough, it began grabbing clumps of sand and throwing it at Harpymon in a desperate attempt at silencing her. If that didn't work, it would shoot its gun blindly in her general direction, hoping to get a lucky hit.

Her singing wasn't that bad was it? She frowned as she sung and started to circle in closer. It beached itself and began throwing sand at her. She hovered a moment as she dodged one bunch only to be hit by another to her chest. Her chest hurt her song unraveling a bit. She was close enough though. She swooped in her claws aiming for its face.

Harpymon's hesitation in her song was enough for Octomon to break free and retaliate. Using his sword, he parried her claws and blocked the attack. Should they stay connected for more than three seconds, he would then raise his gun and blast her with the ink point blank in the face. Should the counter-attack fail, he would try to snare her legs in the grips of his two clawed tentacles and hold her down, swinging his sword.

The moment she felt her talons hit steal she knew she had failed. She made to back up only to be snared around one of her legs. Then the other. Her wings worked over time just to prevent her from being pulled in. He couldn't hold her down but he had ahold of her. And his sword just grew closer and closer as he swung his sword at her. She had to break free. How though?
Was his eyes squinting from the sun of the wind from her wings? Now that she thought about it. She was a guardian of the wind should she be able to call upon it. Use it in some way?She strengthened her beating wings. Flying towards the octomon instead of away to loosen the tautness and fly directly above him. Eye for eye and blade for blade. She sliced the air with her wing aiming for the tentacles that held her. "Wind Seeker," she barked.....what the hell was that?

The Octomon held on tight as he was lifted into the air as Harpymon flapped and flapped trying to escape. However, he was unprepared for the wind attack and dropped his sword to the beach below. At this point he wrapped around tighter as the wind intensified, but lost grip and fell to the ground when the wind turned into blades. As he landed, his own sword cut into one of his tentacles on his left side, resulting in a serious cut. It wasn't life threatening, but would make use of that particular tentacle quite painful and difficult. In simulated anger, he aimed his gun at Harpymon and fired his Spurting Ink attack three times at Harpymon, hoping to get at least one shot through the wind.

She was finally free. Talvi took to flying in circles yet again as she watched her foe land. She hovered again ready to attack. She fired two blades of wind at her foe again only to watch them dissipate with ink. The power of the two canceling out. As it rained ink onto the ground she watched another one come through. Surprised by the third shot she was knocked from the air. She landed with a hefty thump. The ink obscuring her body and making it hard to get up. It dripped down her wings and as she tried to take to the air again she found that she couldn't. Her back ached and she smelled the scent of feathers burning.
In a panic she did the one thing she was taught in case of fire. She stop, dropped and rolled. As she rolled the ink picked up sand slowly absorbing into it. The damage was done however and now she was coated in blackend sand. It still sizzled here and there. She was no longer able to fly. Her chest and upper wings molting away the dead flesh and feathers. The pain brought tears to her eyes but more than anything she was angry. She was not about to loose to a overgrown mollusk.
She had enough feathers left for her blades though even if she couldn't fly. "Wind Seeker," she growled. she swung her arms side to side. Swiping the blades one right after another. She wasn't about to stop until her foe was nearly dead or until it somehow managed to break away from her barrage.

Octomon was pleased that his target was hit and injured. He went to fire a kill shot at her on the ground, but her sudden rolling made him miss. The ink went out into the water. He kept trying to hit her as she rolled, but a moving target wasn't his specialty and every shot missed. Finally, when she stopped moving, he fired again once. His attack was cancelled out by Harpymon's wind attack, but what really surprised him was the onslaught of wind blades headed his way. The force hit him and sent him back, impacting his already injured tentacle. Other limbs were now damaged and walking became difficult on the sand. He began an attempt to slither his way to the water for cover and would grab his sword in the process. He continued to shoot at Harpymon as he crawled, hoping to get a lucky shot through. He was running out of energy.

Talvi was close to fainting. Her vision blurred slightly and her wings went limp. She was breathing heavily and her eyes had a hard time focusing. She spotted the movement though. It was still alive and moving. She gritted her teeth one more time....just aim ahead. She swiped her wing once then stopped. She couldn't do it anymore. She hopped to one side to avoid a black blur in her vision. Then she collapsed as her balance was lost. She groaned and tried singing once more. Her voice sounding strange in her ears. Finally she just stopped drifting in and out of consciousness. Her D.I.G. beeped and she reverted She was done. Win or lose she had nothing left to give outside the pain.

Harpymon's attack found its mark and knocked the Octomon onto its back. In extreme pain, it twitches its arms like a dying spider, then passed out. The last thing Talvi would see before passing out is the environment around her disappearing, returning once more to a cold metal room when the hologram faded.

Sam was still in Hybrid mode due to the fact she had fallen in love with her form and she could heal faster as her hybrid self. She hadn't seen Talvi for a bit and she wondered if she was training. The training room wasn't far and one simple ride had her there, looking around until she saw Talvi. She ran over to assess her before she deemed it okay to move her. She gently carried her towards the pod and set her down. "Med bay for humans please." She said. She held Talvi bridal style as the pod took them to their destination.
