Scott arrived at the entrance of the Beta Caverns and looked around. A few Digimon were running around and inside, he could see lights from the town within flickering. How many residents were left? He began walking in toward the village and kept a wary eye for any trouble.

It didn't take long for him to become the center of attention. A human....here? Their request must have been answered. Several Candemon followed along the side of the streets helping to lead the way. Through in truth the place was very well lit anyway. Strings of lights hung from the ceiling illumination the place though many of the streets were still dark cast in shadow by the caves. Digmon and Armadimon peeked out of their homes to watch him. Several Pipismon flitted above flying or climbing the walls. Their claws scratching at the rock and clicking with a metallic sound.
Before long one would see a large cave. It's opening a good story above the rest but easily three times as wide. A pond sat out front Coelamon pooling into it from a stream. No doubt having heard about the human. If he looked back he'd see all sorts of digimon. Many appearing to be earth or water based.
"Our mayor waits inside," one of the Coelamon say.

Sparks looked around at the hustle and bustle inside the cave. Looking at it from the outside, you'd have never guessed an entire town had been set up in here. It was a wonder. When the Coelamon guided him where to go, he thanked him and stepped inside the mouth of the giant cave within the cave. Time to get to work, it would seem.

As he would enter he would see a well lit cavern. In the center stood a giant pool of water. many of the Coelamon were there with a large mantaraymon. On the far side of the room stood a Boltmon his arms crossed. He looked at Scott with narrowed eyes almost judging before they softened.
"The human from W.A.D.A. I presume," The Boltmon said walking around the pool. "I am Han and the mantaraymon is my second in command Finckel."
"Welcome," Finckel said.
"I am sorry to put such a responsibility on W.A.D.A.s shoulders. Unfortunately however we are more likely to cause a cave in if we go after this foe ourselves," Han said with a sigh. "They come out every night after lights out and attack the citizens or destroy property. Without lights some of us can not see and they know that. However with light they often will not come out. They will attack small pockets of light like the Candlemon but avoid anything big. They are smart foes."

Sparks nodded his head as the mighty Boltmon addressed him. Given his size and the strength that was no doubt behind that ax could certainly cause a cave in.
"Yes, I am from W.A.D.A. My name is Scott Foreman, but you can call me Sparks." Sparks listened intently as the situation was explained to him. "I see. They don't like the light, huh? We can make this work to our advantage, and I have a plan in mind. Tonight, you should proceed with lights out as normal. I will wait at the end of the town where they come from, using the darkness to hide myself. When they approach, I will make my move. I have a surprise in store that I'm sure they'll love." Sparks said this last sentence with a sly smirk. He looked forward to flexing his new power for real. "With your permission, I would like to put this plan into effect." Sparks nodded again and looked back and forth between Boltmon and Mantaraymon.

"Of course. Whatever plan you have come up with I'm sure will work. I trust W.A.D.A. completely," Boltmon said smiling and nodding his head respectfully.
"Guess that means you don't need to be generating electricity all night again. We'll spread the word for everyone to stay inside," Mantaraymon said disappearing beneath the water with the coelamon.
"You are more than welcome to rest here until lights out, Sparks. Or explore at your leisure to get to know the layout of this place. The paths can get confusing for those who do not know them. Even more so in the dark," Boltmon said.

Sparks nodded his head as Finckel turned and went back into the water. Looking back at Boltmon, he kinda of half smiled. He wasn't sure he deserved someone to trust him. Last people who did died. In any case, he still had a job to do, so he needed to stop wallowing and get down to it.
"Thank you sir. All I really need is to find the building closest to where the enemy comes from so I can place myself directly between them and the town. That is where I will be at lights out, and will wait from that point. I may wander beforehand, but that is my end game. Placement and timing will be everything. I don't want to cause a cave in myself. Which is still a small possibility." Sparks fidgeted with his D.I.G. as he spoke. With the energy he gave off at the Glacier, who knew what would happen in here?

Han nodded. It was always a risk. So long as it wasn't in the main cave he doubted many would get hurt. They would take precautions though.
"I'll order the digimon away from the area so you do not have to worry as much," the Boltmon said looking at the nervous Sparks. He reached over and patted his shoulder. "You will do fine Sparks. You wouldn't be here if you wouldn't be." He moved away for the entrance.
"Come I'll show you what little we have done and where our foe comes from," Han said preparing to give him a small tour.

Sparks smiled half-heartedly as the Boltmon patted him with his massive hand. He was pleased that he had faith in him, but felt it was misplaced. However, he was happy to hear that the Digimon would be evacuated from the expected battlefield. The last thing he needed was more innocent lives lost if it came to violence. "Thank you, Mr. Mayor." Sparks said, and simply followed him to wherever he went.

"Our city is well loved and put together through the dedication of the digimon who live here. We started with a single under ground stream. Now we have hundreds allowing safe passage for water digimon. The earth digimon build the caves and use who control lightening power that little electricity we have," Han said smiling to some of the resident digimon. "We accept all travelers and help when we can. It has given us our share of trouble to be sure."
Han walked down the halls with a slow, confident stride. each one equal to two of Sparks. There were hundreds of run offs and if one had to compared this place to anything it would be an ant hill. A complicated maze each hall dedicated to something.
"This hall here is the largest main hall. A place where most our shops are and we hold events," Han turned down a side hall however. "This is the hall of food. There are some in the main hall naturally but all the best cooks are down this way. Along with several restrooms." If he paid close attention he'd notice many of the signs were crooked and banners slightly torn. "They hit here most often. Stealing food before going on a full out rampage. We had barred the windows and door to try capturing them in more than one. With little success. They are cunning."
He turned down a few more streets explaining each. Before stopping in front of a large opening leading to the outside. "They come in here. We accept merchants through her and do trading in the temporary bazaar." He motioned to the almost empty tents. "It has hit them as well since their supplies are the first thing they see. I will leave you to prepare yourself. Anyone here can help you if you get lost. Good luck," Han said and started for the bazaar. He patted a few shoulders and spoke to them about leaving before night fall.

Sparks looked around at the town and saw how it was a lovely little neighborhood, but as soon as you turn a corner you could see the mess the thugs had caused. It reminded him of life in Ireland and how quickly a neighborhood can change for the worse. As they approached the passage that the thugs used to gain access, Sparks spied the tents and kiosks.
"Yes, this should do nicely. Not many civilians around and plenty of cover. Thank you Han. I can take it from here. I will hide in that final tent and wait. They won't get past me." Sparks looked up at the giant and smiled. He then watched him walk away as he warned his townsfolk. Scott decided that he had nothing left to do and sat inside the final tent, making sure he could not be seen from the entrance. There he would wait to make his move.
At lights out, providing the cave became pitch black, he would emerge from the tent and stand in the dead center of the road, waiting for his targets. If there was too much light still, he would remain in the tent until they got close.

(Dante gave me permission to mod the fight, lets go.)
The light had dimmed enough for the DemiDevimon to come out of hiding each hoping to catch some poor sap off guard. They had no idea Scott was there as they flew around making their rounds and scaring anyone they could find. They found no one else which ticked them off. They wanted to prank and scare the locals not look around in vain for prey that not there. They looked around the main tunnels before they flew closer to Scott's location.
The smallest and youngest of them was the first one to sense Scott and the thought of a scare spurred him forward making him ignore the warnings the others. The little one was still new to this kind of thing and a fight didn't cross his mind as he flew closer. "What kind of Digimon are you? You look funny, are you sick or deformed?" He said not knowing what a human was. The other two sighed in disbelief as their friend dared to mock the human.

Scott could hear the PicoDevimon approaching and knew it was time to get started. He was beginning to stand to emerge from his hiding spot when one of them flew in and began questioning him. Scott was surprised at the appearance and wondered how something so small could cause such trouble. It was amusing how little this creature knew about humans.
"No, little one. I am not deformed. My name is Sparks and I am a human agent of W.A.D.A. I have been sent here to stop you and your friends from continuing to terrorize this town. I would recommend you turning around and not coming back, or else I'll be forced to show you the perks of my position." Scott stood completely out of the tent now, and would be in plain view of the others, though the darkness made visibility poor. As he said his last sentence, it would appear that his eyes flashed of fire for a brief moment.

The smallest of the PicoDevimon who had questioned Scott about everything flew a bit closer. He was more curious than threatening. "A human? I know what W.A.D.A is though. Stop terrorizing the town? I didn't realize our antics were seen this way. I'm new to all of this, my family wanted to follow tradition." He said as his eyes widened in the dark. His brothers flew over and hit him for discussing such things. he whined a little as a big goose egg formed on his head. The oldest of the group flew closer to Scott until he was almost nose to nose with him. "Humans are interferring in this?! We don't need to stop what we are doing, the town's people are getting in our way. We PicoDevimon claim all of Beta Caverns as our home. Be gone, stupid mortal."He said smugly. The youngest opened his mouth to argue but his brother hit him again willing him into silence.
It was clear the youngest one didn't want to battle but the other two did. What would Scott do, battle the two and have the third battle just to defend himself or would he focus on all three? Either way, the Picodevimon were here to stay. The two older brothers were watching Scott waiting for him to decide what to do. The youngest was waiting behind them unsure of what to do. Fleeing was seen as punishable by death if his elders saw it fit. The brothers wondered how strong Scott was as they flipped their wings to stay in the air. None of them had ever encountered a human before and they didn't realize this human was The Fire Hybrid. But the three needed to be dealt with and there was no other opotions. But would Scott punish the youngest for blindly following tradition?

Sparks chuckled at the PicoDevimon. They were cute in an annoying kind of way. The two older ones were clearly bullying the curious one. Regardless, they were all attacking the town and needed to be stopped one way or another. "I hate to break this to you, puffball, but you're mortal too. And no one is claiming anything. This villagers were here first and are not going anywhere. Clearly, though, you need more incentive to leave before things get messy." Sparks took a few steps back from the trio and raised his D.I.G. arm to the sky. "SPIRIT EVOLUTION!!"
Instantly, a large fractal code wrapped itself around Sparks, stretching his body to make him taller, and the flames consumed him as his power grew. He swung an arm to break the seal and emerged a new creature. "MERAMON!" The light from his flames were bright enough to illuminate a good portion of the cave and made visibility quite easy.
"Told you my job had perks. This is your last chance to leave. All of you. Resist, and I will have no choice but to arrest you all and take you away." Meramon crossed his arms in front of him as he stared the three down.
