"Mileeees...." A distant voice called out, Miles remained asleep as he dreamed of becoming the new pugilist champion of the world. Mile's eldest sister, Elanor stood over his bedside and was failing all attempts to wake the young Gaomon. "Honestly!" The Mikemon threw her hands to her hips and let out a sigh. "I suppose my puppy brother leaves me no choice!" Elanor took her tail and began to tickle Mile's foot. He stirred in his sleep until he finally awoke with a hearty laughter, "Stop it! Stop it! Please! Ellie! Ha ha ha ha ha!" He said tearing from the laughter. Elanor smiled and hugged her baby brother, Miles smiled at the embrace and hugged back, "Good morning Ellie!" Miles said jumping out of bed his tail wagging behind him. "Good morning my cute puppy brother. Mom sent me up here to wake you, isn't today the day?" Elanor reminded Miles, today was the day he would go on his journey and challenge the different junior circuits to follow after his father, a once powerful Mach Gaogamon, has retired now. "Oh yes! You're right Ellie, I almost slept in!" Miles ran to his dresser and pulled out his favorite gloves. He put them on over his paws and rushed out of the room and down the steps to where his mother was waiting in the kitchen. Elanor giggled as he left his bedroom, she followed after him. "Good morning mom!" Miles said jumping into a chair by the table, he turned his head to see his father on the other end reading the paper. "Dad, good morning as well!" Miles said kicking his feet through the air as his legs dangled from his chair. His father's name was Miles as well, making our Miles, the junior. "Good morning Junior, I see you're raring to go!" Senior said, Miles nodded and gave a bright smile, "I'm so excited!" Miles replied. "I'm going to give your father a piece of my mind should anything happen to my little boy." Miles mother, a beautiful Bastemon named Aurora, walked over with Mile's breakfast. Senior nervously laughed at his wife's passive aggression, "He will be fine dear! He's my child after all!" Bastemon smiled and leaned in her husband, "That is why I'm worried, you're both headstrong." She kissed him lovingly and rubbed her stomach, "Promise me you won't get our newest to be son in the same industry? For once I'd like a male to help around the shop." Senior moved his snout and kissed her small protruding belly, "We will have to see won't we?" He replied.
"You guys! Our family will keep multiplying if you always act like that!" The second sister, Lia the Tailmon called out from the bathroom as she groomed her fur. "Sorry if we're embarrassing you, hopefully you'll find a man like me you can be this way with Lia." Senior said teasing her. Lia visibly gagged in the mirror. Miles laughed at their interaction, "I'm all finished mom!" Miles took his plate and placed it in the sink,"Uh Miles hun, you know better then that!" Aurora called out, Miles froze in his tracks and back stepped back to the sink and with a pout cleaned his dish and put it away. "That's my good pup." She said. Miles smiled and ran into the bathroom watching his sister who became visibly annoyed, "Can I help you squirt?" She said as she combed her fur for the eighth time this morning. "Can I use the room? I have to get ready to leave." Miles asked, Lia sighed and looked at him "Don't you see I'm busy twerp? Just do what you need to." Lia said. "I can't use the bathroom with you here! It's embarrassing!" Miles said pouting. "Oh, look whose acting all grown up all of a sudden. Aren't you forgetting that I practically potty trained you? Bathed you? I've seen everything plenty of times, no need to be embarrassed." Lia said poking Mile's forehead. Miles turned a slight red, "Moooooooooooooom!" Miles called out, "Lia let your brother use the bathroom he is not a kid anymore." Aurora called from the kitchen, Senior laughed "That's right! Today Junior is a man!" Lia rolled her eyes and strolled out of the bathroom. "He's still a kid..." She said heading to her room passing Elanor, Miles closed the bathroom door and began to take care of what he needed. Elanor took a seat at the table, "It's hard seeing my puppy brother leave, it feels like just yesterday his tiny paw gripped my own and we walked to the park to play. Aging is so cruel." Elanor said sighing. Aurora hugged Elanor, "You two will always be close. Even when he has kids of his own." She said. "Besides, you can do it all again soon. Another eight months or so." Aurora added. Elanor looked at Aurora's stomach and smiled, "Yes I can." Senior looked at them and smiled, "Well, since I'm retired now, I can spend time with my pup so don't think I'm going to let you girls hog the babe!" He said. "Oh please dad, you'll be to busy following Mile's career." Senior laughed, "That maybe so! Doesn't mean I can't spend time with my pup here and there!" Miles had finished and came out running to the den. "Has anyone seen my bag?" Miles asked looking under the couch. "It's by the door dear, I moved it so it wouldn't get lost." Aurora called out sitting on her husbands lap.
Miles popped up from the ground and ran over to his bag. "What do you even have in there anyway Miles? You don't wear clothes besides those gloves and headband." Elanor asked, Miles opened the bag and took out protein bars, "Dad said to keep my strength up while traveling so he gave me a bunch of protein bars!" Senior nodded, "That's right! I advertised those bars myself so they're really effective!" He said. "Please don't let that be your only meal every day. Make sure you eat actual food now and again." Elanor stated and Aurora agreed. "You don't want to get thin and weak from lack of proper nutrition." She added, Miles threw the bag over his back and walked over to his family. "Well this is it, I'm leaving to start my journey!" Miles said. Aurora stood up and walked over bending down and kissing his forehead, "Oh my baby boy is leaving so soon....I am sorry to see you go but I know you'll do very well out in the world." She said giving him a hug and he returning it in kind. Elanor also walked over embracing him and squeezing tightly, "My puppy brother, be safe would you? Visit often." She said kissing his cheek and stepping away. "I will visit whenever I'm back in Xuan Wu! I promise!" Miles said. Senior stood up and placed his hand on top of his son's head, "Junior, just remember I'm already very proud of you. Nothing you can do or don't do can change that. Shoot for the stars and carve your own destiny!" Miles nodded in understanding. Senior then picked his son up and touched his nose to his own, "Knock'em out son!" He said placing him back down. "Lia come say goodbye to your brother." Aurora called, Lia came out of her room and walked over to Miles. She looked sad and looked away, Miles became sad to. She picked her head up and punched Miles in the arm, "Ow!" Miles said rubbing it. "If you don't come back to us often I'll beat you up got it twerp!?" She said seriously then gave a smile and hugged him. Miles was confused then happy, "Bye Lia." He said returning her hug. "Alright everyone! I'm out of here!" Miles opened his front door and ran out towards the rising sun, to begin the adventure of his life. Who knows how it would turn out? He was just excited for the ride. His family waved to him as he disappeared from their view.
Aurora and his sisters began to cry and Senior held them close to him, "Aw it's okay ladies, he's strong. He'll be fine, he's my son. Now lets all go inside, Junior isn't the only one with a busy morning!" He said closing the door.
