Cora came walking into the room, "Magi I need your assistance at once! These hatchlings are in need of your medical expertise!" The Mistymon looked up from his candlelit desk at the King with Theos and Kemba cradled in his claw. "Your majesty, you seem to need medical attention as well." Magi said. "These are but minor injuries. Save my nephew and his friend!" Cora said. Magi stood up and lifted his head, a ball of magical energy surrounded the children; lifting Theos and Kemba from Cora's claw and pulling them over to the beds that lay along the walls. Magi walked over to them both examining each of them, "How much blood has this weapon digimon lost?" He asked. "To much it seems." Cora replied, "His life force is fading, I can sense his soul readying it's departure to Anubismon." Magi said placing his hand over Kemba with his eyes closed. "Can he be saved?" Cora asked, "If we give him more blood but only time will tell." Magi took a sample of Kemba's blood and placed his hand over it, "O negative. Universal donor." Magi walked over to a wall in which he passed his hand over it and using his magic it opened to reveal a chilled section with bags of blood inside. Magi took the bag and set it into Kemba's arm, "His lung is collapsed and filled with blood. An easy fix." Magi said. He placed his hand on Kemba's chest and using healing magic; repaired Kemba's lung. "It missed his ribs so there is no bone damage, I've also closed the wound in his chest. All that's left is to see if we gave him the blood in time. The next twelve hours will be crucial." Magi said. He turned and walked to Theos looking at him over, "Besides this foul stench your injuries are minor." Magi said smiling at him, Cora let out a breath of relief. "Magi is a powerful doctor who has served Coraggio well before even I was a thought let a lone a living thing. What would be serious injuries to others, are minor to him. He's easily the best doctor on this planet." Cora said to Theos. Magi placed his hand over the wound on Theos hip, sealing it. He passed his hand over Theos broken leg and set the bone and closed the open gashes. He tried to heal the burned leg but frowned, "This is not a physical wound...this wound was caused by magic." He said when it didn't heal. Cora nodded, "Yes. The creature we fought was one spawned of dark magic. A blood imitation." Cora said. "A blood imitation? That is not an easy spell to conjure and an even harder one to control. Even I barely have the magic to control it. Was this Prince Theos's blood imitation?" Magi asked. "Yes it was. It has been dispatched now." Cora said. "Magic must cure magic. I will need a stronger spell." Magi said. He began to draw glyphs with his finger on Theos's burned leg, they were in a dialect not native to this world. Once Magi was done he let out a small burst of energy which erupted in a burst of wind from around him. The glyphs began to glow and disappeared into Theos's leg, "That should heal your leg but it will take time. It will be unusable for the night, thus you and Kemba will remain here obviously. I suppose I better grab some scented candles, you both reek to high heaven." Magi said walking away and towards his desk. Cora walked over and leaned his snout in close to Theos, "It seems you will make a full recovery my nephew. I am glad." He pressed his snout gently against Theos's body to nuzzle him. "This is my fault, I should have gone with you instead of letting you go with a guard. If anything happens to Kemba, I take full responsibility." He said resting his snout on Theos for warmth. This brought a smile to Magi's face, "I'll leave you the room my king. I actually do need to see about those candles..." He said walking out. "Forgive me Theos, I should have been better." He said. Theos tried to walk on the air as they were lifted from Coras hand. The magical barrier feeling strange as he was levitated over to a bed and sat down. "How much blood has this weapon digimon lost?" He asked. "To much it seems." Cora replied, "His life force is fading, I can sense his soul readying it's departure to Anubismon." Theos watched in concern but stayed where he was placed. He didn't want to interrupt whatever he had to do. "Can he be saved?" Cora asked, "If we give him more blood but only time will tell." Magi took a sample of Kemba's blood and placed his hand over it, "O negative. Universal donor." Theos eyes followed Magi's every movement, "His lung is collapsed and filled with blood. An easy fix." An easy fix? It sounded quite serious to him. Theos ears flicked back and forth. "It missed his ribs so there is no bone damage, I've also closed the wound in his chest. All that's left is to see if we gave him the blood in time. The next twelve hours will be crucial." He was relieved at that. Though he had to wonder how he could do such things, "Besides this foul stench your injuries are minor." Compared to Kemba he was sure. He had given that demon a hell of a time before being pinned down. "Magi is a powerful doctor who has served Coraggio well before even I was a thought let a lone a living thing. What would be serious injuries to others, are minor to him. He's easily the best doctor on this planet." Theos smiled and nodded. He was that old? He winced as the bone was reset but the pain disappeared quickly, "This is not a physical wound...this wound was caused by magic." He said when it didn't heal. Cora nodded, "Yes. The creature we fought was one spawned of dark magic. A blood imitation." Cora said.

"Yes it was. It has been dispatched now." Cora said. "Magic must cure magic. I will need a stronger spell." Theos watched in awe. What a strange thing spells were. This was his first time meeting a true wizard, "That should heal your leg but it will take time. It will be unusable for the night, thus you and Kemba will remain here obviously. I suppose I better grab some scented candles, you both reek to high heaven." Theos had to agree with a smile. Wait til they found out why he stunk so bad, "It seems you will make a full recovery my nephew. I am glad." Theos nuzzled him back. "This is my fault, I should have gone with you instead of letting you go with a guard. If anything happens to Kemba, I take full responsibility." It wasn't his fault, "I'll leave you the room my king. I actually do need to see about those candles..." He said walking out. "Forgive me Theos, I should have been better." He said.
"It's not your fault. We had no idea she had already done her magic....and if anything it is more my own fault. I gave her my blood in the first place," Theos looked to Kemba remembering his blacken eyes. "I did this. I am young and naive. And the only way to prevent this from ever happening again is to rid myself of my naivete and grow stronger....I know I'm not completely at fault but it feels like it."
Theos leaned into Cora. He had admitted his faults and wrongness. He was taught well by the mountains. "I wonder why though," He said after a moment. "What did she have to gain with such a spell?"

Cora softened his stare and rubbed Theos against his cheek in a consoling manner. "No, you must not think such things. You are young, it is supposed to be our job, my job, to protect you and teach you. Your naivete is natural for a boy your age, it isn't fair that you've had to go through so much. That is why I will be the very best I can be for your sake and Midas. You shouldn't need to worry about growing up so fast. It is the world who is at fault. When I saw you yesterday morning for the first time, Midas son, I loved you immediately and since then it has grown three times that size. All I want to do is protect you just like my sons, and this kingdom. So please, put away such thoughts and let me be your guardian. Lean on me for everything, and I will be your firm pillar. More accurately, I want to be your pillar if you let me, Kemba's to. Although I know him not, I know you and because he means the world to you I will give him my protection." Cora remained letting Theos grow comfortable leaning on his face. "I wonder why though," Cora looked at him "What did she have to gain with such a spell?" Cora thought a moment before answering, "You'll be able to ask her yourself, she has been confined to the dungeon facing a life sentence. You should try and sleep though, you've been through a lot. I could spend the night here with you if you want me to." Cora offered.

"You don't have to. I'm sure your own bed is ten times more comfortable than leaning across this bed. Its alright I am doing a lot better," Theos smiled and moved away to curl into the bed. "After some rest everything will be right as rain." For the most part he added to himself. He shouldn't dwell on it. It wasn't healthy for him.

Cora raised his head from the bed and looked down at him curling up, "Very well nephew, should you need me for anything merely send word and I shall come." Magi came back in with the candles placing them down and lighting them. "All done your majesty?" He asked Cora moved over looking at him, "I am. I shall be retiring to the queen now." Magi shook his head, "Not without treatment you aren't. That claw mark may be just a flesh wound, but even flesh wounds can fester." Magi said flying up to look at his chest wound. Cora sighed, "I have received worse wounds from paper Magi, I am fine. My sons and wife are waiting for me." He said, "Very well very well if you insist." Magi said snapping his fingers causing a bottle to appear from a puff of smoke. "Have one of your servants apply this salve before you sleep tonight to that wound, just to be on the safe side." Magi said placing it in Cora's palm. "If I must Magi. It's always something with you." Cora said making his way out of the room, "There isn't an inch of that body I don't know Cora, I like to keep my kings healthy and long lasting." Magi said. Cora gave a nervous grin at Magi, "Yes you need not remind me. Good night Theos, I will see you in the morning and good night to you Magi." Cora said departing. Magi waved as Cora left and went blowing out a majority of the candles, leaving the room almost dark except his desk. He sat down at it and picked up his quill and began to write in a very large book. He spoke while writing, "If my light disturbs your sleep young prince, let me know. If you need any additional treatment, don't hesitate to ask. I'll be finished with my ledger soon and leave you to rest." Magi said. He was open to talk should Theos like. If Theos fell to sleep, Magi would finish up and eventually retire to his chamber.

"Good night uncle," he said laying his head down once more. Theos eyes followed Magi and slowly closed as the room became dark. "If my light disturbs your sleep young prince, let me know. If you need any additional treatment, don't hesitate to ask. I'll be finished with my ledger soon and leave you to rest."
"It's alright," Theos said his ears flicking at the sound of quill on paper. It seemed magicians knew how to read and write. They knew a lot didn't they. He even knew healing spells it was an odd thought. He turned his head to look at Magi. His mind questioning on what exactly magic was. He doubted he had any affinity for it though. He closed his eyes yet again. He had to remember he was staying here for a long time. All his questions could wait til tomorrow. Slowly he drifted off...

The sun of a new day peered through the window, lighting up the room. It was still quiet however, this was a medical wing after all so the walls were enchanted to keep sound out. Theos would feel something warm and a little wet on his belly, stirring him awake. Once he was awake he'd see a familar white tail wagging in front of him. Swaying back and forth, Kemba was pressed against Theos belly, blowing raspberries into it. He'd poke his head up with his bright yellow, healthy eyes that had always entranced Theos's heart and gave a wide smile. "Good morning." He would purr. Kemba had survived the night, and he turned around so that his face was laying next to Theos own. "I finally didn't sleep in." He said touching his wet nose to Theos. Magi was in the back of the room sorting his medicines and dusting a bit as he went by, "Sir Kemba woke up about an hour ago, I did you the courtesy of explaining the events that had transpired. Though I left the big surprise for you to tell." Magi said from across the room. "I wanted to know the surprise so I woke you. Hee hee!" He said happily, "So...what is it?" He said staring into Theos eyes with a smile, purring.

Theos woke up sith a snort at and a light laugh. "Good morning." Theos heart leaped and he smiled. "I finally didn't sleep in." His nose touched Theos and Theos gave him a small kiss. "Sir Kemba woke up about an hour ago, I did you the courtesy of explaining the events that had transpired. Though I left the big surprise for you to tell." Theos looked back at him and sat up. "I wanted to know the surprise so I woke you. Hee hee!" He said happily, "So...what is it?" It took Theos a moment but then he smiled. Kemba still didn't know he had mated with a prince.
"Well, its the reason we are here in the castle. I am King Coras nephew and a prince," Theos said happily. His tail wagged and he would chuckle at Kembas no doubt surprise. "That makes you a prince too you know."

"Well, its the reason we are here in the castle. I am King Coras nephew and a prince," Kemba looked surprised, Theos was a prince? Kemba's soulmate....was a prince? "A p-prince!" Kemba said sitting up, his face had turned red and it could be seen even through his white fur. "I...I did those things...to you....and your a prince...and King Cora...? That means...Midas and Belle are....?" Kemba laid on his back, his head resting on Theos pillow looking up at the ceiling. "I've been way to bold!" Kemba said. "That makes you a prince too you know." Kemba turned his head to look at Theos, "How could that make me a prince? We're not bound by marriage." Kemba said. Magi walked over with a clothespin on his nose, "Quite right Prince Theos." He said a little funny, "Sir Kemba would only be recognized as prince through marriage. Unfortunately for you two, you're not of age yet to be married. The law would require Prince Theos to be eighteen to choose a marriage partner. King Midas married Queen Belle at eighteen, but had her as his own since he was fifteen. King Cora married Queen Raja not to long after Midas and Belle left, in his species years, he was fifty years old. Translated to the years we perceive, that makes him twenty one. At the very most, Sir Kemba can become a Lord of Coraggio as only a Lord or Lady may be dealt a hand to a royal." Magi said walking over to examine Theos's burned leg which was nearly completely healed, it had very few patches of black on it. "Your leg is usable again, but you are to take it slow and easy. No fighting whatsoever, hopefully you have more sense then Midas." Magi said walking back over to his books. "I'm going to need a powerful fragrance spell to get this smell out of the wing. It's worse then a rotting corpse." Magi said reading through an old tome. "You two are right as rain."
Kemba was embarrassed remembering their history. He covered his face with his paws and kicked his feet in the air, "Gosh! If I had known....I'd never have done those things! I'd have totally been more respectful!" He said, "D-Does your uncle know...? Does he want to eat me...?" Kemba said looking at Theos. "I'm so embarrassed!"

Theos had to chuckle at his reaction. He was so embarrassed. Although neither one of them had known. "How could that make me a prince? We're not bound by marriage." Maybe not by marriage but they were mates, "Quite right Prince Theos." He said a little funny, "Sir Kemba would only be recognized as prince through marriage. Unfortunately for you two, you're not of age yet to be married. The law would require Prince Theos to be eighteen to choose a marriage partner. King Midas married Queen Belle at eighteen, but had her as his own since he was fifteen. He had no desire to be mated to anyone else. "Your leg is usable again, but you are to take it slow and easy. No fighting whatsoever, hopefully you have more sense then Midas." Well he had no desire to fight. In fact he had every desire for a bath. "I'm going to need a powerful fragrance spell to get this smell out of the wing. It's worse then a rotting corpse." Magi said reading through an old tome. "You two are right as rain."
Kemba was still going on about it. Theos smiled, "Gosh! If I had known....I'd never have done those things! I'd have totally been more respectful!" He said, "D-Does your uncle know...? Does he want to eat me...?" Kemba said looking at Theos. "I'm so embarrassed!"
"He doesn't want to eat you," Theos reassured chuckling. "Come on let's go bathe and stop smelling up the ward.....which way to the baths," Theos asked looking to Magi. Once he would get his answer he would leave with a thank you leading the way down the halls.

Magi turned to Kemba and Theos, "Well...there are two baths in this castle, the one the castle staff, including myself, use and the one exclusive to the royal family just up on the fortieth level. The castle is very large to encompass the species that dominates it, so two children like you may find it hard to get around. Do try not to get lost, okay? Once you leave the room head right and up the stairs. You'll know when you're there because it's the very top of the palace." Magi said. Kemba looked at Theos as excited he was to actually bathe with his lover after longer then three days, he had to wonder if it was still okay. "Hey Theos...now that we know who you are...is it really okay for us to continue like normal? I love bathing with you but I don't know if I'm allowed anymore. You're a prince." Kemba said drawing circles on the floor with his foot looking down with his paws closed behind his back. Magi laughed, "Dear Kemba, we're not savages. As long as Theos gives permission, you may follow him anywhere. We recognize you two as partners." Magi said removing the clothespin.
"Really...it's fine?" Kemba said his face lighting up, "I don't know...is it fine Prince Theos?" Magi asked.

"You are my one and only mate," Theos said chuckling. "Of course it is fine. Now come on you ham. I am still me with or without the title. there is no reason for you to treat me any differently."

Kemba smiled and nodded, "Okay then my cute prince, let's get going!" Kemba said following after Theos. Magi let out a breath as soon as they left, "Good graces....those have to be the smelliest children in the kingdom. I thought they would never leave." He added as he went to work cleaning the room and anything Theos and Kemba came into contact with.
