"I'm not avoiding him...he just...when he finds out we're sending Ban...he's going to be cross with me." Don squinted his eyes and frowned.
"Kaa will hate me before this war is over....so will Theos it seems....but I have to do what is good for the kingdom...isn't that my duty?" Don covered his face, "Goddess....I sent my brother to his death....father and Kaa...they won't ever forgive me if he doesn't come back...and Theos and Kemba.....if the three of them die...it will be my fault." Don refused to cry though and held his claws at his side. "I decided I'd do whatever it takes....I suppose even this qualifies...." Don began to chuckle a bit.
"I'm no better then Stall...it's laughable..."
"You are ten times better," Ike responded. "Stall has no reason for what he does. You you have a family and kingdom to protect....I never envied the nobles. They had everything but in Scomparsa they played dangerous games with one another. Each vying for the throne. It isn't the same here but because of them tough decisions must be made.....I'm truly better suited a servant than anything else....when it comes down too it I can't lift my voice when it matters."
"I'm going to take Ban outside and prepare him...I'll leave it to you." Kemba whispered then turned, "Come Ban..."
"You know this armor was a gift from your father you should take better care of it," Theos said smiling and walking over to sit beside him. "Ban is going....and so are Kemba and me. You have nothing to worry about with us there......Don didn't mean anything by what he said you know. It isn't that he is too important but he is not qualified," Theos looked sideways at Kaa. "He doesn't like to admit it but he does poorly in the field. So he tries to act tough in the tent. You are tough all the way around and I bet he envies that about you. How you can be so honest with yourself.....you shouldn't loose that honesty. But you should learn to control it. You two were fighting before we could even put our own two cents in. You can't let this war tear you two apart. Your brothers and no matter how you look at it you love each other," Theos nuzzled the side of his head.
"You be careful while taking down those scouts okay. And your brother will be coming home. By sunrise those catapults will be burned and we will be here standing at your side for the battle to come," Theos stood to let Kaa stew in his words. He didn't leave just yet though to see if Kaa had anything to say.

Don eyed Ike a moment, "That doesn't make playing with peoples lives any easier.....I am supposed to be making things easier and giving everyone the best possible chance at survival. I hadn't anticipated a suicide mission, but every scenario I run in my head ends in our defeat if we don't. I've ran it three hundred and sixty different ways up until you stopped me moments before, desperately trying to find a way that doesn't involve this arduous task. We never make it to the catapults in time to destroy them. Heavy casualties always ensue and we lose the battle and the war." Don looked up into the sky.
"I don't expect you to speak up in such manners...because you don't have a reason to do so. I made a promise to show you a peaceful kingdom and free you of your ties to Scomparsa. I want to show you that not all nobles are evil and pompous. Ike you're the only friend I have ever made....outside of my family. Honestly, Theos and Kemba prefer my brothers to me and I don't blame them. Ban is sweet and Kaa is strong...I'm just...me. I don't want you to think yourself only better as a servant. You're worth so much more." Don gave Ike a smile looking back to him.
"I'll shoulder the hatred of many....make the difficult decisions....because out of my brothers, I'm the only person willing to do it. For my promises to be fulfilled."
Kaa moved his gaze over to Theos, not moving from his spot. So they decided to sacrifice Ban after all, Theos and Kemba too. Don suggested this....
Kaa closed the eye on the side of his head being nuzzled, right now, he felt a lot of things but he wasn't sure love was one of them.
"You be careful while taking down those scouts okay. And your brother will be coming home. By sunrise those catapults will be burned and we will be here standing at your side for the battle to come,"
Kaa raised his head and looked at Theos, "Promise it to me." Kaa said a glare resting on him, "Promise me that Ban will come home. That this suicide mission of Don's won't endanger the three people I love." Kaa knew that Theos couldn't make promises. He picked up on it before they had left Coraggio, when Raja asked of him the same thing.
"You can't can you? Because you don't know if what you're telling me is true. Don...Don suggested this....because he has a heart of a king...and me......all I have is the heart of a child...just as Cole said. I'm not cut out to be an heir so maybe I should go on this suicide mission and do the kingdom a favor. With Don as heir, they'll have a king who can sever bonds so easily for the sake of the kingdom." Kaa said, anger and pain lingering on his voice. "I....I just wanted everyone to be safe...and come home...but I am putting those closest to me above the lives of everyone else." Kaa bit his bottom lip, his face contorting into a pained expression. He was trying not to cry again.

"I don't expect you to speak up in such manners...because you don't have a reason to do so. I made a promise to show you a peaceful kingdom and free you of your ties to Scomparsa. "I'll shoulder the hatred of many....make the difficult decisions....because out of my brothers, I'm the only person willing to do it. For my promises to be fulfilled."
"Nobody should shoulder it alone.....and no one will hate you," Ike responded. It was all he could say. There was no convincing Don otherwise and arguing would make him feel worse.
"Promise it to me." Kaa said a glare resting on him, "Promise me that Ban will come home. That this suicide mission of Don's won't endanger the three people I love." Theos bit back his tongue. He couldn't....
"You can't can you? Because you don't know if what you're telling me is true. "I....I just wanted everyone to be safe...and come home...but I am putting those closest to me above the lives of everyone else."
"I can't promise....but I'll be damned if I'd let you commit suicide," Theos growled. "Listen up Kaa. There is nothing more important than family. You have the heart of a child so what. You are one and a heart like yours will grow to be as noble as King Cora himself. He was nothing like Don growing up if anything he was like you. Strong where it counts and sheepish when bullied. And he is easily one of the greatest Kings your kingdom has ever known. So before you throw yourself away imagine all the things you'll learn as you grow and how they will help you become just as noble."
Theos glared at Kaa, "You remember the stories me and Kemba told you about Dan. That first day i met him he was so scared of the mines. I promised him safety and failed. My last promise was to kill Ara. I can not make another promise of safety because I am not sure I could handle any more guilt. Even if it wasn't my fault." Theos looked away finished.

"Nobody should shoulder it alone.....and no one will hate you," Don smiled and reached for Ike's shoulder, giving it a firm grip. "Nobody should...but I choose too. Kaa can't handle making these decisions, if something were to happen he would crumble. He is to be a kind and loving king. I must protect him from that, even if he winds up hating me for it. That is the extent I'll go even for him." Don turned and started walking back to the tent.
"I am okay with it...because his heart, the way he views the world, it is what our kingdom needs. I don't need the adoration of the masses...I just need the friendship of one." Don turned his head looking back, and gave Ike a smile. He chuckled and continued, "I've read enough books to know what I am in this story. I've made peace with that."
"I can't promise....but I'll be damned if I'd let you commit suicide," Theos growled. "Listen up Kaa. There is nothing more important than family. You have the heart of a child so what. Kaa looked down at the ground as if he had been scolded by a parent.
"You remember the stories me and Kemba told you about Dan. That first day i met him he was so scared of the mines. I promised him safety and failed. My last promise was to kill Ara. I can not make another promise of safety because I am not sure I could handle any more guilt. Even if it wasn't my fault."
Kaa looked back to Theos, still a bit angry "These past few months, I've been learning from you." He began, "The way I am now, the bonds I treasure...I learned how to do it from you Theos. You and Kemba, how united you both are." Kaa stood and stared at Theos,
"I learned that family IS important and the bonds we share, so when I fight so strongly to protect it, I'm shunned and kicked from our meeting. I don't know what kind of digimon I'd be if I hadn't met you...but you....my hero....is willing to take the chance of my brother dying behind enemy lines....and you won't even promise me that you'll bring him home?" Kaa began to silently weep. He hobbled towards Theos and leaned his face into his chest, staining it with his salt filled tears and runny nose.
"Why won't you promise me that? You're supposed to be my hero....you taught me how to be me....and...and...you are going on such a dangerous mission....you were supposed to protect us..." Kaa took a long pause gasping for the air he exhaled in his pained cry. "You're supposed to....." Kaa fell on his knees, still leaning into Theos chest. "Please...."

I must protect him from that, even if he winds up hating me for it. That is the extent I'll go even for him." Love was a strong thing....it made heros and villains alike.
"I am okay with it...because his heart, the way he views the world, it is what our kingdom needs. I don't need the adoration of the masses...I just need the friendship of one." One? Ike cocked his head was he referring to him? "I've read enough books to know what I am in this story. I've made peace with that."
"Books only say so much.....There is more than one view in a story," Ike said shaking his head. "Your story is what you make it but I'll remain by you." Ike looked to the ground sheepishly.
"These past few months, I've been learning from you." He began, "The way I am now, the bonds I treasure...I learned how to do it from you Theos. You and Kemba, how united you both are." Theos looked to the ground quelling himself.

"Why won't you promise me that? You're supposed to be my hero....you taught me how to be me....and...and...you are going on such a dangerous mission....you were supposed to protect us..." Theos couldn't say anything for a long moment. "You're supposed to....." Kaa fell on his knees, still leaning into Theos chest. "Please...."
"I am...." he was what? He was protecting them? He was sorry for not being what Kaa wanted? Was he going to make that promise? Theos clenched his eyes shut and suddenly his muscles relaxed to almost a limp state like he had given up.
"I am no hero.....I'm a digimon who has grown up too fast. Who's made a lot of mistakes and is haunted by my future and past alike. I can't make a promise because I have no control over anything not even my own life......You ask me to protect you and I will do my best......but my best may never be enough. I can't control others. I can't control Stall, Scomparsa, You or your brothers. Ban volunteered and for peace of mind I am going with him.....you have a duty to do as well take your anger and pain and release it on those scouts. In the end what matters is not my life but of those around me....you feel the same and our feelings though the same are working against each other.......You weren't kicked out for protecting your family but for hitting Don. We all felt the same way....Ban is too innocent to do such things.....and even if it puts me in the data stream I am going to protect him with my life. So your mother has three sons and you two brothers," Theos stared at his back..... "It's the least I can do...."

"Books only say so much.....There is more than one view in a story, Your story is what you make it but I'll remain by you." Don chuckled, "Yes, my story is mine alone to craft and I am writing it the way I want. The cold hearted brother who is to be advisor to the kind king. Making the difficult decisions so he never has too. Enduring his distaste and loving him from a distance. A tragic tale. At least that is my interpretation of it...but the best things about books is everyone has their own." Don looked to his side as Ike caught up to hom.
"What is your interpretation?" Don said curiously, "Though as a bookworm, I reserve the right to tell you if your interpretation is accurate or not." Don chuckled slowly approaching the tent.
"I am...." Kaa listened, waiting to hear his promise. If Theos held them close to his heart, and loved them as he claimed...he'd promise Kaa right here that he'd be safe.
We all felt the same way....Ban is too innocent to do such things.....and even if it puts me in the data stream I am going to protect him with my life. So your mother has three sons and you two brothers,"
Theos was no hero? How could he say such a thing? That is all Theos had ever been to Kaa, a hero. His hero. He looked up to Theos and learned from him and now...now his hero was telling him he may not be good enough to protect them. Scomparsa had shattered his life in the blink of an eye, his father tossed into an enraged state...yelling at him if even for a moment. The stability of their home, and the lives of the kingdom. The relationship of him and his brother and now possibly the life of Ban.
Scomparsa had now taken his hero from him and made him into something else. Kaa slowly pulled his head away from Theo's chest leaving a stain, a face of defeat and disappointment. "I see..." Kaa stood and never met Theos eyes, feeling rejected by him. Kaa turned and gave a sad smile, "How silly of me....I should grow up then...just like you...heroes...are for children. Promises...are just for children..." He turned heading back to where he had been laying. "I...should just...accept everything...." Kaa picked up the head piece Theos had brought inside and stared at his reflection. Droplets of water dripped to it's shiny surface and rolled off the side. "I'll be ready....to fight....I'd like to be alone...until then. When Don is ready...have him come get me." Kaa said sitting down with his back turned to Theos, his tail wrapping around the side.
His reality having been completely destroyed, it was not unlike Theos when Dan had died. What Kaa must be feeling, watching everything he knew change so drastically....and having his hero, Theos, reject his notion. What effect this could have on the young prince, one would have to wonder.

"Yes, my story is mine alone to craft and I am writing it the way I want. The cold hearted brother who is to be advisor to the kind king. Making the difficult decisions so he never has too. Enduring his distaste and loving him from a distance. A tragic tale. At least that is my interpretation of it...but the best things about books is everyone has their own." Far from cold hearted though not many were around to witness this side of him.
"What is your interpretation?" Don said curiously, "Though as a bookworm, I reserve the right to tell you if your interpretation is accurate or not." Ike smiled a bit.
"I see a digimon willing to be the villain if it means protecting what he loves.....I guess there is a thin line between hero and villain...and others might see you as the villain but I see you as the hero trying to bear it all on your shoulders to save your world," Ike said looking away. Hero huh? Maybe he used the word too loosely. Don was far from any description of heroes he ever heard. Then again they were all just stories probably blown well out of proportion.
Theos watched him sadly. He knew it wasn't what Kaa wanted to hear.....but it was the best he could do. Kaa couldn't rely on him for everything and no matter how much he wanted to protect him especially now during this war. He had to face the facts he couldn't be in three places at the same time. They had to learn to stand on their own. He felt like his heart was being twisted out of his chest.
"I see..." Theos stared at him, "How silly of me....I should grow up then...just like you...heroes...are for children. Promises...are just for children..." Theos shook his head. "I...should just...accept everything...." Theos walked over sitting behind him and nuzzling his head. "I'll be ready....to fight....I'd like to be alone...until then. When Don is ready...have him come get me."
"Kaa.....I love you. Heroes are not for children but I believe you put me on too high a pedestal......None of the heroes from legend are alive.....they all became martyrs. One day Magi will be too in my eyes....he's my hero....if you feel like you have no one to talk to go to him," Theos said then got up leaving him alone with those words. "I'll be back," he whispered as he left the tent. He looked to Ike and Don casting them a sad smile.
"Best leave him be til you are ready to go," Theos said walking away to find Kemba and Ban.

Kaa didn't understand Theos, he wasn't allowed to be Kaa's hero but he himself had one. He didn't budge from being nudged from behind. Was it because heroes were synonymous with death? Then Theos expected Magi to die? This was all terribly confusing.
"I'll be back," Would he? He said it himself, he may die on this mission. How could he trust Theos's words? He just continued to stare at his helm as Theos left.
"I see a digimon willing to be the villain if it means protecting what he loves.....I guess there is a thin line between hero and villain...and others might see you as the villain but I see you as the hero trying to bear it all on your shoulders to save your world,"
Don chuckled at Ike, "A hero huh? Do I wear a cape in your story? Riding on a horse? Which damsel am I saving? Though that damsel will be sorely disappointed if they expect a kiss." Don stopped just outside the tent after teasing Ike. "What about you? What kind of character are you in this story? I know what you are in mine." Don said but before he could answer Ike, Theos walked by them from inside the tent leaving Don's answer a mystery to Ike.
"Best leave him be til you are ready to go," Don frowned at Theos's response and watched him meet with Kemba and Ban nearby. Don approached the tent, peaking inside and seeing Kaa. He frowned and turned his head away back to Ike, "The kind king, faced with an impossible situation. His world turned upside down and with no one to help him right it. The king reflects on his life." Don said speaking as if reading from a book. "I suppose I should fetch my soldiers."
Ban ran up to Theos as he approached, wagging his tail frantically and immediately leaning into him as they walked towards Kemba. "Are we going?" Ban asked. Kemba chuckled, "In a moment Ban." Kemba looked to Theos, "How did it go?" Kemba asked.

"A hero huh? Do I wear a cape in your story? Riding on a horse? Which damsel am I saving? Though that damsel will be sorely disappointed if they expect a kiss." Ike raised an eyebrow. "What about you? What kind of character are you in this story? I know what you are in mine." Ike thought about it but his thoughts were interrupted.
Ike watched Theos a moment then turned back to Don, "The kind king, faced with an impossible situation. His world turned upside down and with no one to help him right it. The king reflects on his life." Don said speaking as if reading from a book. "I suppose I should fetch my soldiers."
"I wonder if he'll be alright," Ike said peeking in then pulling back. His answer lost to him. What role was he?.....he didn't rightfully know.
"Are we going?" Theos nodded smiling slightly, "In a moment Ban." Kemba looked to Theos, "How did it go?" Theos shook his head.
"Not well.....Kaa is mad at the world right now.....and I probably just made things worse," Theos sighed. "I hope he'll cool down enough that I can try again after our mission. Though he probably don't want to talk to me."

"I wonder if he'll be alright," Don shook his head, "Not until we end this war. He may push through but he's realizing just how fragile the world he made for himself is and I can tell he's scared of losing it." Don turned to face Ike. "I guess I'll see you when we're back huh? What will you do while I'm gone?" Don wondered.
"Not well.....Kaa is mad at the world right now.....and I probably just made things worse," Theos sighed. "I hope he'll cool down enough that I can try again after our mission. Though he probably don't want to talk to me."
Kemba wondered how Theos of all people could make it worse, "I don't think making things worse is in your DDNA." Kemba replied. Ban worried about Kaa, "Is Kaa mad at me?" He asked. Kemba shook his head, "No Ban...he is...well...I'm sure it's complicated." Kemba expressed.
"I don't want to make Kaa mad at me...." Ban said looking back to the tent.

"Not until we end this war. He may push through but he's realizing just how fragile the world he made for himself is and I can tell he's scared of losing it." Don turned to face Ike. "I guess I'll see you when we're back huh? What will you do while I'm gone?"
"Help out around camp probably," Ike said looking out at the tents. "Be careful. I'd like for you to be there.....when your promise is fulfilled." Ike had to wonder why he suddenly felt sheepish by just telling him to be careful. Words nothing more he was probably out of sorts because everyone else was as well. It was probably because of the promise thing. He never asked for that promise yet every time he heard it from Don's lips it reminded him Don is still Don and nothing else. Not prince or villain....
"I don't think making things worse is in your DDNA." Kemba replied. Ban worried about Kaa, "Is Kaa mad at me?" He asked. Kemba shook his head, "No Ban...he is...well...I'm sure it's complicated." Kemba expressed.
"I don't want to make Kaa mad at me...."
"He isn't mad at you Ban.....he's mad at the situation. He doesn't want any of us hurt. He has a loving and protecting heart so it hurts him to know he can't do anything while we go out into danger," Theos explained. "He's scared of losing us so we got to make sure that doesn't happen that way we can see him smile when we return." Theos gave a faint smile hoping that when they did he would smile. Theos would not doubt his relief though.

"Help out around camp probably," Ike said looking out at the tents. "Be careful. I'd like for you to be there.....when your promise is fulfilled." Don chuckled, "Of course, as your friend I think I'm obligated to be there when that promise comes to pass." Don gave a thumb up and turned to head towards the tents where some of his ranged soldiers would be. "See you tomorrow Ike" Don waved disappearing into the crowd of soldiers.
"He isn't mad at you Ban.....he's mad at the situation. He doesn't want any of us hurt. He has a loving and protecting heart so it hurts him to know he can't do anything while we go out into danger," Theos explained. "He's scared of losing us so we got to make sure that doesn't happen that way we can see him smile when we return."
Ban nodded "Yea...Kaa will be so happy when we come back!" Ban cheered. "Not just Kaa, but everyone will be I'm sure!" Kemba said. Within a few moments, an Agumon walked over to them. He was small in stature, even for his kind. "Hello Generals." He greeted with a salute,
"You must be our escort." Kemba asked, the small digimon nodded, his yellow scales were caked with sand and he was quite filthy. "My orders are to bring you back to my unit and then escort you to the enemy camp." Agumon replied.
"General Ban....it's a pleasure to finally meet my superior." The Agumon greeted, the small dinosaur seemed star struck standing in front of Ban. Ban walked over and nuzzled the Agumon causing the unsuspecting digimon to blush and awkwardly look around wondering if this was appropriate. "Good to meet you too! Let's be friends!" Ban said wagging his tail. "Uh..um...o-okay." Kemba couldn't help but laugh, Ban had always been the overly friendly type.
"We're just waiting for General Kaa and General Don then?" Agumon asked, "I believe so if you have to escort all of us." Kemba replied looking back towards the camp, "They should be ready in a few moments."
Just as Kemba had said, within a few minutes Don and Kaa and Blake were walking towards them. They had chosen to only bring a couple of soldiers, wanting to keep their unit small. Ban happily ran over to greet them as they were coming towards them.
"Hiya!" Don said as Ban came over, giving a smile. "Hee hee!" Ban returned it. He looked over to Kaa, who's blank expression left Ban feeling terrible; his smile quickly fading. "Alriiiiiiight...I'm ready to kick some Scomparsa ass!" Blake shouted. The Agumon greeted them and turned.
"We should reach my unit by midday, it took as a while to track their scouts but we managed to catch up in the end. Hopefully, they can last until we get there." Don stroked his chin thoughtfully, "We will need to travel at full speed then."
"I'm down for a run." Blake said stretching his legs, Kaa remained quiet.
"Then let us depart!" Agumon turned and took off, his small body didn't seem like it would be so fast. Within moments, their group had broken into a full sprint behind their guide. Ban showing just how fast he was, kept side by side pace with the Agumon.

"Of course, as your friend I think I'm obligated to be there when that promise comes to pass." Ike smiled a bit nodding. "See you tomorrow Ike" Ike waved back and headed for his fathers and his tent.
"Yea...Kaa will be so happy when we come back!" Ban cheered. "Not just Kaa, but everyone will be I'm sure!" Kemba said and Theos nodded.
"Hello Generals." Theos looked to the agumon nodding.
"You must be our escort." Their mission was about to begin. "My orders are to bring you back to my unit and then escort you to the enemy camp." Agumon replied.
"General Ban....it's a pleasure to finally meet my superior." Theos chuckled at ban's overly friendly greeting. "Good to meet you too! Let's be friends!" Ban said wagging his tail. "Uh..um...o-okay."
"We're just waiting for General Kaa and General Don then?" Agumon asked, "I believe so if you have to escort all of us." Theos looked towards their tent, "They should be ready in a few moments."
"Hiya!" Theos gave a slight smile as well but his gaze went towards Kaa it faded quickly. "Hee hee!" Theos turned to Blake nodding in agreement.
"We should reach my unit by midday, it took as a while to track their scouts but we managed to catch up in the end. Hopefully, they can last until we get there." Don stroked his chin thoughtfully, "We will need to travel at full speed then."
"I'm down for a run." Theos also prepared to depart trying to loosen his stressed muscles.
"Then let us depart!" Theos hooves stirred up the sand as he kept himself full force. Staying behind Ban and the agumon. He continued to think of Kaa....how should he have handled that? He had been honest about everything. Yet his honesty just left him in pain. He relied too much on Magi he had to figure this one out for himself...

(Returned from Intercepting the Scouts)
Kaa and Blake and Don came walking through the gate with the Agumon right behind them. Cole was alerted to their arrival and was the first to greet them and he was incredibly worried by his excited movement, "What happened? Are you alright?" Cole asked.
"We were--" Don began but was cut off by Kaa, he was back to appearing as the tough prince "We succeeded in our mission with some trouble but as you can see, we saved Ban's scouts." Cole let out a sigh of relief and smiled, Don and Blake both glaring at Kaa. He really intended to go through with his barter.
"Don needs medical attention their scouts were formidable in their numbers." Kaa said, Don kept quiet for now. He would deal with this privately, if Cole or his father knew about this, Kaa could be discharged and kept out of the war. It was best he tried to handle it himself, and if all else fails, bring it to Cora. Don wished Theos was here though, he'd know what too do.
Cole nodded, "Of course. I can get Magi immediately." Kaa shook his head and looked at Cole, "I don't think we should bother Magi right now, he's preparing for tomorrow. Ike can see us right?" Kaa offered, Cole looked surprised, "I...I suppose he can, but I'm positive Magi wouldn't mind seeing you." Cole insisted.
"Well...with him having to see me and the five scouts, it's probably best to get Don treated sooner than us. Magi is all the way in the back of the camp, your tent is closer and Magi gave Ike a medical kit to practice with right?" Blake said. Cole crossed his arms and thought, Kaa appreciated the assist and Don disapprovingly shook his head. This was not going to happen as far as he was concerned.
"I suppose that is fine...I see your point...though I could help bring Don over." Cole stated, Blake laughed and pretended to stumble, "I was kind of hoping you'd help me to Magi..." Blake said. "I'm a bit weak and with one arm, it's getting difficult. Kaa can bring Don to Ike." Blake said. Cole nodded, "Well alright...are you scouts going to be okay in reaching Magi?" The Agumon all nodded, keeping quiet. They knew it wasn't there place to speak up but they were worried all the same.
Cole walked over and took Blake around his shoulder, "Okay Blake let's get going, good luck you two and nice job." Cole complimented walking towards Magi. Blake looked at Kaa and glared, "I hope you know what you're doing." He mouthed silently.
Kaa went to help Don, but Don refused and began to limp towards Cole and Ike's tent. Kaa knew his brother was upset, but he wouldn't let anything happen to Ike. He'd give himself up before that, he knew how important Ike is to him. He followed after him, Don making his way through the tent flap first. He felt a sudden pain from moving so much and he coughed holding his stomach, blood shooting from within him and staining the sand in front of Ike's feet. Blood dripped from his maw and ran from his nostrils, his eyes began to roll to the back of his head and he nearly passed out.
The pain was beginning to take its toll and Don fell on his side barely conscious. Now that his adrenaline had expired, he was exhausted and his pain was no longer being stifled. Kaa ran in looking at Don, "Hey! Are you okay." Don focused on Kaa and sat up, "I will be..." Don said wincing from the pain in his gut. He coughed some more and looked wearily at Ike.
"Can you help him Ike?" Kaa asked standing thinking on how he could ask Ike what was on his mind.

Ike was staring at the supplies in their tent. He was suppose to practice his bandages and stuff but with his father busy he didn't want to impose on anyone. Though probably any of the other army men would be happy to help. He didn't know any of them though. The tent flapped moved breaking him of reverie as he looked to Don. Who was ready to keel at any moment. He rushed over wondering why they didn't go straight to Magi.
"Hey! Are you okay." Don focused on Kaa and sat up, "I will be..." Ike looked at him worriedly.
"Can you help him Ike?" Ike wasn't sure he went over and grabbed his kit.
"He's coughing blood....his lung may be punctured. Such things need surgery or magic," Ike said sitting beside Don. "I can help with the other stuff but Magi really needs to treat the internal wounds...Why didn't you go to him?" Ike began treating Don's wounds . What he could anyway. He waited for Kaa's explanation.
