What Was That?

Aegis pulled more from the carcass, swallowing slabs of meat whole. He looked over to Shika who got comfortable on Aegis's bed. He smiled and walked over to the small raptor digimon. He leaped up onto the bed and got behind her and laid down. He brushed her with his nose playfully.

"It's been a while since I had a guest. Definitely didn't have that in my daily tasks. Ha ha ha. So, since you're so comfy, why not tell me more about you? Where does someone like you come from? What are you Feathers? I seldom go to Mount Savage." Aegis asked.

He placed a paw around the smaller digimon pulling her close into his furred breast. "Who is my new traveling buddy?" Aegis said laying his head down next to hers. His silver eyes taking in her form.

Shika watched as he jumped up onto the bed, the pillows shifting with the new, heavier weight. Once he settled down beside her, the raptor snuggles up against his fur, a small hum coming from her throat. She made a small giggle as his cold nose brushed against her feathers.

Shika silently listened as he spoke, tail swaying slowly against the bedding. She rubbed her head against his fur as he pulled her closer, a large smile on her maw. Once he settled down his head, Shika stared into those large silver eyes, smiling bright at the larger digimon.

"I is a Creichemon! Although, I never seen any others like me... I no think anymon on Mount Savage no others like me... Shika been alone for a long time. Othermon dont like how much Shika sparks..." Crackles of electricity arched on her horns, her gaze going down as it dispersed. "Do you like how Shika sparks?" Her claws fidgeted with each other, sparks coming off as they scraped against each other.

"I is a Creichemon! Although, I never seen any others like me... I no think anymon on Mount Savage no others like me... Shika been alone for a long time. Othermon dont like how much Shika sparks..."

Aegis knew the feeling, he wasn't always alone. He had become an outcast as well, Dorulumon were naturally pack digimon. The thoughts returning caused him to frown a bit.

"Do you like how Shika sparks?"

"Of course, if I didn't like Feather's sparks I'd have gobbled you up by now. Though I'm still considering it for a different reason Feathers. You have got to be the cutest thing I've seen in a while." He huffed some air at her to watch her feathers ripple. He chuckled.

"I think we're going to be great traveling buddies."

Shika's eyes lit up at Aegis approved of her sparking personality. Hearing him say he liked her made her tail thump harder against the cushions, electricity crackling across her horns and spikes. She giggled loudly as he called her cute, smiling qidely at him. She gave a small hum at the puff of air, her feathers rustling to the light breathe.

Shika vigorously nodded her head, wrapping her claws around Aegis's muzzle and pressing her snout against him. "I think we best buddies." She smiled at him before her mouth opened wide, a loud yawn escaping the young raptor. Her head laid back down and she was once again staring into those deep silver eyes of his. "Shika tired... Can Aegis tell a story? What was Aegis's life like?"

Aegis chuckled as Shika held his muzzle and lifts his paw around her as she yawns and pulls her into his mane. He laid his tail around to encircle her like a mother protecting her clutch.

"A story huh? Well well...let's see. A story about my life huh. It's nothing special really. Though if Feathers insists," Aegis cleared his throat.

"I was born into a pack south of here in a small wasteland. I was part of a litter of nine. My mother and father were of the same species as I am. My father was stern and tough like most males of my kind. He had this one tooth that stuck out of the side of his mouth. It was real big...I always wanted to just yank it. It made his lip look weird." Aegis recalled.

"My mother was always well groomed and had the best tasting tits for miles. What I wouldn't give to just suckle on it one more time. Mmmm. Can't find milk like that anymore. I once tried my best friend's mom...tasted like loneliness and desperation." Aegis realized he was going on a tangent and shook his head with a nervous laugh.

"Anyway... I was sixth born and always looked for attention. I got on my siblings nerves growing up. I used to play pranks and dig holes around the grounds and my siblings would fall into them. They didn't like that to much. Man my father would discipline me pretty hard."

"When I came of age, I was put to work in the Bai Hu mines. It was boring work so I never really was interested in it. I always took back the smallest amount. I once pissed in the coffee of the foreman and he actually drank it thinking it was a new type! I was pretty much the poster boy for bad child ha ha ha ha ha."

Aegis's laughter fell off, his face became rather sad for a moment. "Yea...bad child..." Aegis turned his head and nosed Shika if she was still awake.

"Hey, I think that is enough story for one night Feathers...I'm a bit sleepy and the sun has come down."

Should Shika be sleeping he'd gaze at her form a moment then rest his head next to her brushing his face against her small frame and fall asleep beside her.

She couldn't hold back the giggle as she felt his paw press against her back, pulling her closing to his chest. The Creichemon didnt resist one bit, nuzzling her muzzle against his mane. It was so soft against her own feathers, a small purr coming from her throat. She would look upward to him as he started to tell his story, tall swaying back and forth.

As Aegis recalled his parents, Shika giggled at how he described the both of them. Her mind wandered, trying to picture the bigger Dorulumon. A shaggy father and a beautiful mother. She imagined he got his attitude from his father. Drawn back once again as he continued to talk of his siblings and how they acted with each other. It was no surprise he was the trouble maker of the group. Part of her wished she could of had a relationship like that. She wondered if she had long lost siblings somewhere. There were no other of her kind in the mountains...

All throughout his story, she was giggling at the pranks he pulled ans the trouble he had got in. Despite only knowing him for the day, she felt like his story fit his personality. She laughed as he nosed her, still awake from the story he told. "Aegis life is funny! But okay..." Her smile faded abd she gave another yawn, pressing her forehead against his maned chest. "Shika will sleep. Night night Aegis." Despite her excitable personality, once the young raptor closed her eyes, it would only take a few minutes for her to fall into sleep.
