"Sure thing weirdo. I'm guessing she's your type," Ace said snickering and pointing to his overly happy tail. "Oh, King of the tail wags," he teased then started running. "Come on lover boy let's get out of here." Surprisingly the route back was uneventful. No signs of the bugs or of Melissa. Whom had already made her way back to the camp and waited for them nervously. She had managed to catch a bunch of those bugs in their own traps they had been setting up around the forest. The rest she was able to shake off and rest a moment before finding her way back. ShiftingFates

Kester's tail immediately stopped it's wagging as Ace started to make fun of him for it. If it werent for his fur, his cheeks would be a tad scarlet, judging by how hot they were getting. "Oh shut it! I just like her attitude. She's to old for me, anyway." He completely denied the words, running after the hyokomon in order to get back to safety.
Despite the route being rather uneventful, Kester couldnt help but stay on alert, the glow his collar gave off soft and low conpared to when he would shine it brightly. Once the two made it back to the beasts' camp, the Salamon shook himself out, his collar resting along his shoulders as they stepped into the better lit clearing. It didnt take him long for him to notice Melissa, making his way over to her.
"Good to know you got back safe. I see youre not as useless, after all." He gave a smirk before settling down beside her and pointing to Ace. "Melissa, this is Ace. The annoying chicken I dragged into the wood." He then pointed to Melissa, turning his gaze to the other of the two. "Ace, this is Melissa, the scaredy bear that helped me save you."

"Good to know you got back safe. I see youre not as useless, after all." Useless? Melissa had every right mind to give him a good solid whack for that. That is not how you greet someone.
"Nice to meet cha," Ace said saluting faintly with a wing.
"Likewise," Melissa responded then turning her gaze to Kester. "I'm smart not cowardly you idiot. I had a dozen bugs chasing after me while you rescued your friend. You better say thanks or I am shoving this paw so far up -" Melissa was interrupted by laughter.
Ace chuckled at the small spirited bear. Though he wasn't much taller. "Thank.....you.....for playing bear bait," Ace said breathlessly between gasps for air.
"So this is your girl Kester. She suits you," Ace said trying to come down.
"Girl," Melissa said questioningly. She then glared at Kester. "I'm not his girl." She humphed and walked away. She knew they were fine now and that was good enough for her. But honestly boys are so rude.
