Melissa glared as he laughed. She knew it was a terrible roar but he could at least show some respect. She puffed out her cheeks defiantly in a huff. She waited for him to stop.
"I have been thank you," she scoffed. "As I was saying you're trespassing," Melissa continued. "I don't know what you are after but you aren't taking anything that is mine." Her roar was pathetic but her growl was anything but. She raised her fur on end trying to look bigger than she was. Even then She was only as big as Kester. Far from the intimidating beast she was trying to be.
Meanwhile Ace sat in the roots of the tree he had hid under. How long had he waited for his parents to return but they never did. He had to face it Kester was probably dead. Swallowed whole by that garurumon. He had to find his own way out. Ace stood up and began walking. He just had to walk in one direction for a long time right. He'd eventually be able to leave the forest. Though who knew where he would come out at.

Kester gave a rather annoyed sigh and rolled his eyes as Melissa once again said he was trespassing. He barely moved as the growl was heard, although a few of the hairs on the back of his neck did stand on end. A sign that she was able to scare him but not even enough to get a physical reaction out of him.
"I'm not after anything of yours." Kester immediately threw that notion to the side. "As you can see, I have my own berries with me, which I won with the help of a friend. Who, just so you know, I happen to be looking for. Now, have you seen a chicken trapped in an egg with a sword on his back? His name is Ace and we got separated yesterday night." Since he was stuck talking to this rookie bear, he might as well ask about his friend and see if she had spotted anyone of the sort. "He's not from the woods so who knows how lost he could be."

A chicken trapped in an egg? That was an odd thought. Melissa hummed slightly she hadn't seen any birds around. Though her father hadn't come back from his hunt either. The woods were infinitely dangerous at night. His friend might be dead. Though she didn't dare say it.
"Can't say I have," Melissa replied after a moment. She wondered if he was okay. She tended to think the worse. Around then a loud buzzing could be heard. "A Horde," Melissa whispered heading for her home. She raced into the branches of a tree. She pushed on a giant wooden door and headed inside. "Quickly," she hissed waiting for Kester.
Once he was in she'd close the door and rush up some wooden stairs. A luminescent moss giving the place light along with a few holes on the upper levels. It was sparsly furnished for sleeping and little else. Melissa looked out one of the peep holes. Dozens of Flymon looked around and began searching. Her claw marks no doubt alerting them to the fact beasts liked this area.
"There is so many," she whispered....

Kester made a small growl at her saying she hadn't seen any Digimon that matched Ace's description. "Wonderful..." It was obvious that it was very 'wonderful' as he said. The Plotmon was starting to regret bringing Ace into the woods in the first place. Moving to continue his search, he paused when he heard Melissa whisper something. "Hm? A horde?" He watched as she quickly made her way into a tree. Kester was about to turn around and leave her when he heard her hiss at him to hurry.
Kester watched her for a quick second before sighing and making his way up to where she was. She was obviously hiding away for a reason. And it was better hiding in a treehouse then in the dirt and mud. He moved quickly and walked inside the home of Melissa. Kester sat down as the door was closed behind him and watched as Melissa moved upstairs. It was a small home. Obviously used to keep safe when the night came.
Ears twitched at the sound of loud buzzing. That didn't just sound like a few bugs. Kester raised an eyebrow before he slowly made his way up the stairs to where Melissa was. He looked out one of the holes near her and growled a bit at the sight. "What are they doing?"

"They've been unusually hostile of late. I dunno what's going on but my dad said they have been attacking us beasts," Melissa answered softly. She had no idea what had changed but one thing was certain the forest had become a lot more cutthroat. She was starting to regret marking her 'territory.' They may start keeping an eye on it to see if she returns. Which meant they had to abandon this place and go out the back way.
After awhile over half flitted away leaving three to continue the observation of the area. Three was still too many to handle. Suddenly the insects seemed to see something. "Fist of the Beast King," a voice barked and suddenly several blue lion heads slammed into the remaining bugs. Her dad was back. She had been worried. Melissa ran back down the stairs not bothering to wait and watch the bugs disappear.
"Daddy," she called as she raced out. The leomon greeted her with a smile a knelt down for a hug. If Kester had followed her out his gaze would go to him.
"You were gone so long I was worried," Melissa said pulling out of his hug. "Sorry about that. The meeting ran over," he responded. "And," Melissa inquired. "A waspmon has united the bugs. They plan to take over the forest killing or driving out whoever is in their way."
The leomon shook his head at this. "No decision had been made most of the beasts feel they can take down dozens of the bugs at a time. The reality is much more harsh. Only those with several children had even considered an alliance for family sake. So only a small group have been pulled together."
"What do we do," Melissa questioned. "We wait til nightfall then more to join some others." If Kester was out with them the leomon would add, "And you are welcome to join us. The forest is very dangerous right now."

"Hostile?" Kester glanced over to Melissa is a raised brow before taking a moment to think back. "I think my parents told me something about that..." He couldn't be bothered to remember the specifics as he looked back out the window, watching as the hoard flew off. He gave a small growl that was quickly cut off as a Leomon came over, dispatching the Flymon with ease. Judging how quickly Melissa ran down to meet him, Kester wasn't surprised that he was her farther.
Following down the steps rather quickly, the Salamon watches in silence as the two conversed, keen to listen in on the conversation about this meeting he was at and what was going on in the forest. So a Waspmon is trying to claim the forest for bugs alone? Kester growled at that and once the Leomon addressed him, he stepped closely with his head high.
"She doesn't have any right to kick us out! This may be one hell of a stink hole, but we've survived in this place for years, she really expects us to leave?" His voice was aggravated, toxin dripping in his words. He obviously wasn't very keen on leaving. "And thanks, for the offer. But I should go to my family and warn them. Plus, I still have a friend of mine to find." The Salamon started to turn and walk in a rather random direction. He appeared to prefer his time alone then anything else.
