"See you remove this stone here in the courtyard and, voila! A tunnel into the depths of the palace. I've never explored it in our time but dad told me where it was." Kaa said. Kemba looked into the tunnel with awe, "No wonder Midas and Cora used it, it can't fit anything bigger then us." Kemba said. Ban leaped into the hole wiggling his butt and tail into the tight space, his sharp spines easily filling the grooves carved into the clay. No doubt made from Cora's spines every time he crawled inside the space. "Me first me first!" Ban called. Don sighed, "Really Ban? You're unbelievable. One second you show some intelligence the next...oh nevermind, I'm going in after you." Don said squeezing into the crawlspace. "It's very tight in here...if we were any older, I fear this trip would be futile. Thankfully, we have not had our growth spurt yet." Don said crawling in after Ban who was rushing through the crawlspace. "See you two on the other side!" Kaa said squeezing and following after his brothers. Kemba looked at Theos and kissed him on the forehead, "I'll go first. Give you a nice view." He said winking and knelt down on all fours and fit effortlessly into the crawlspace. "Huh, I was expecting it to be tighter then this." Kemba turned his head to see Theos from behind lifting his tail up and purred, "Feel free to push me along." Kemba said chuckling and began to move after Kaa. Eventually, Kemba made it through after Kaa having some fun with Theos along the way by stopping short so his head would butt his butt. They scanned the room and it was as big as any of their bedrooms, it was windowless and the walls and floor were untouched. Inside were a couple of sacks filled with beans with body imprints in them, it wasn't hard to tell which from which. A ball was in between them and one section of the wall had carvings in it made by Cora and Midas. They were crude drawings of the two, but each seemed very happy. One such carving had Midas head pressed against Cora's head each with a smile and their eyes closed. It read very poorly, Cora & Midas brothers in life and after death. A love thicker then blood. The last part of this room was a big pile of multi-colored glass just across from the beaned sacks. There was a small light that was off facing the colored glass. Kaa and Don examined the room and Ban's attention went to the ball. "It feels...." Kaa began, "Cozy." Don finished. "I smell dad and Midas on this ball." Ban said sniffing it. Kemba looked around and noticed the carvings, "Hey Theos, look at this." Kemba said calling him over. "Looks like your father and Cora fancied themselves artists. Very bad ones...ha ha." Kemba said. "See you remove this stone here in the courtyard and, voila! A tunnel into the depths of the palace. I've never explored it in our time but dad told me where it was." Theos tail gave a slight wave of amusement, "No wonder Midas and Cora used it, it can't fit anything bigger then us." Theos nodded chuckling at Ban. Thankfully, we have not had our growth spurt yet." Theos had to agree. They didn't fit very well because of their spines but he and Kemba wouldn't have any issues. "See you two on the other side!" Theos bowed his head a bit at his kiss. A bit surprised, "I'll go first. Give you a nice view." He said winking and knelt down on all fours and fit effortlessly into the crawlspace. "Huh, I was expecting it to be tighter then this." Theos chuckled at his playfulness, "Feel free to push me along."
Theos looked around at the plain room. It had truly became Midas and Coras, "It feels...." Kaa began, "Cozy." Don finished. "I smell dad and Midas on this ball." Well they did come here a lot. He didn't doubt they played with it, "Hey Theos, look at this." Kemba said calling him over. "Looks like your father and Cora fancied themselves artists. Very bad ones...ha ha." Kemba said.
Theos chuckled, "Like we could probably do better," Theos responded. He kind of liked it. "It's sweet....maybe when we get back we can all come back here and add our names and faces as well. Make it a generational thing," Theos said smiling.

"Like we could probably do better," Kemba laughed "That's probably true." "It's sweet....maybe when we get back we can all come back here and add our names and faces as well. Make it a generational thing," Ban nodded, "Yes, I agree! We should do that!" Don chuckled, "I agree, it should be generational." Kaa brushed his claw against the drawing and frowned, "Love thicker then blood." Kemba looked at Kaa worryingly, "What is wrong Kaa?" Kemba asked. "How much did Midas mean to him? What drew my dad to cling to Midas stronger then even blood ties?" Kaa's eyes softened their stare, "It feels almost....sorrowful." Don patted his brothers back, "Well we can find out what dad went through with grandpa. He was dead long before we hatched so now we have a rare opportunity to understand dad's childhood." Ban stared at the drawings; his tail wagging slowly and the tip of his tongue poking from his mouth, "Do you think Midas and Dad are like Theos and Kemba?" Ban asked looking at his brothers. Don snickered a bit, "Obviously not." Ban tilted his head, "Ban....you're here right now right? Physically here? Alive?" Don asked. Ban nodded, "Yes." Don pointed to Theos, "Theos is standing here right now as well right?" Don asked. Ban nodded, "Yes!" Don crossed his arms, "So then proof that their children are standing here means what?" Don asked. Ban put a claw on his chin and thought, "Um..." Don shook his head and sighed, "That they have wives....as close as they were supposedly, they didn't have feelings like what Theos and Kemba have." Ban perked up, "Ohhh! That makes sense!" Kaa chuckled.
Just then, the group could hear chatter coming from the tunnel, it sounded like someone was talking and coming from the tunnel. "Oh geez do you think that's them?" Kemba asked. "Should we hide!?" Ban said looking around frantically for a hiding space. He ran and stuck his head under the sac successfully hiding just his head. "It's clearly them...I don't see any other reason why it wouldn't be." Don said. "This should go well..." Kaa said concerned for this sudden appearance here in an unknown place. "I'm telling you Cora, you probably just moved the stone. Quit worrying so much." Midas spoke from within the tunnel. "Midaaaas.....I wouldn't be so careless..." Cora said, "Look, what do you expect to find in here? We're the only ones who know it exists." Suddenly, a Theowmon head popped into view from the tunnel. He had a dirty face and different colored eyes then Theos, but his ear was still intact. Midas stopped moving as he scanned the room of the people inside, Cora bumping his head into Mida's rump. "Hey, you shouldn't stop so suddenly....it's dangerous..." A soft spoken Cora said. "Cora....so...um...how do I put this? Well....there are digimon inside our hideout." Midas said. Cora became frightened a bit and jerked his head up bumping it. "Ow...." Midas pushed his way all the way through, his back standing on end, he bared his teeth and growled. "Who are you people!?" Midas barked. Cora stuck in his head and quickly pulled it back, "This area is private!" Midas was drawn to the triplets first and was so flustered he didn't even realize Theos until he scanned each one. He immediately calmed and his eyes widened, "N-No way...you...you are....a Theowmon!" Midas said flabbergasted. Cora poked his head in again, "A Theowmon?" He sheepishly said. Kemba nervously chuckled, "Guess you should say something..." Kemba said.

Kemba asked. "How much did Midas mean to him? What drew my dad to cling to Midas stronger then even blood ties?" Theos head turned to the words. He didn't know himself. Maybe it meant they would always be family, "It feels almost....sorrowful." Don patted his brothers back, "Well we can find out what dad went through with grandpa. He was dead long before we hatched so now we have a rare opportunity to understand dad's childhood." What ever relationship they have it is a strong one. And one that developed because of how they grew up together. Theos had to agree this was an opportunity to understand them both, "Do you think Midas and Dad are like Theos and Kemba?" Ban asked looking at his brothers. Don snickered a bit, "Obviously not." Ban tilted his head, "Ban....you're here right now right? Physically here? Alive?" Don asked. Ban nodded, "Yes." Theos ears perked at the sound his head swiveling towards the tunnel. "Oh geez do you think that's them?" Kemba asked. "Should we hide!?" There wasn't any place for them to. Not to mention it would defeat the purpose of talking to them. "It's clearly them...I don't see any other reason why it wouldn't be." Don said. "This should go well..." Theos had to agree they were going to give them a shock. "I'm telling you Cora, you probably just moved the stone. Quit worrying so much." Midas spoke from within the tunnel. "Midaaaas.....I wouldn't be so careless..." Cora said, "Look, what do you expect to find in here? We're the only ones who know it exists." Theos stared at the Theowmon head...one that had to be his fathers. It made his heart leap in excitement. "Hey, you shouldn't stop so suddenly....it's dangerous..." A soft spoken Cora said. "Cora....so...um...how do I put this? Well....there are digimon inside our hideout." Theos winced at the sound of Cora bumping his head. "Ow...." Midas put up a fierce front obviously ready for conflict. "Who are you people!?" Midas barked. Cora stuck in his head and quickly pulled it back, "This area is private!" Theos wondered what he could say to help calm him down, "N-No way...you...you are....a Theowmon!" Theos chuckled a bit, "A Theowmon?" He sheepishly said. Kemba nervously chuckled, "Guess you should say something..." Kemba said.
He had no idea what to say. He supposed he should try to explain how they got in here. "Sorry for startling you," Theos said smiling. "I'm Theos, and I sniffed out your hideout here," he said explaining a bit. Couldn't say how they really knew about it could they.

"I-I don't understand...does...does this mean my dad came back? Are you with him? Did he find our land!?" Midas said approaching Theos. Kemba moved away and smiled as Midas circled around Theos and stopped to sniff his butt. Midas ears dropped back and his head pulled away and he looked at Theos strangely, "Your scent is familiar....but still foreign....do we know each other?" Midas shook his head. "No that's not possible I've lived here all my life, there is no way we could have met." Midas moved back around to Theos's front. The triplets approached Cora of whom was holding his tail, bending the tip. "Hi Da-!" Ban began getting hit in the head by Don and Kaa, he rubbed it with a tear in his eye. "Hi your majesty, we're traveling Spinomon and heard of this great kingdom and it's stellar prince. It's an honor to meet you." Don said bowing his head. Kaa nodded, "Yes, someone of your prestige is well known among our youth." Kaa bowed as well. Ban quickly mimicked his brothers. Cora felt uncomfortable and frowned, "Wh-What do you mean? How do you know who I am...? My dad has kept me a secret from everyone outside Coraggio..." Cora said very soft spoken. The triplets looked surprised when they raised there heads, "A secret you say?" Kaa stated. Don laughed nervously, "Okay...well....we had been staying in the city for sometime and heard about you." Cora looked at them, "B-but I'm not...any of those things you say..." Ban looked confused, "Is this really our dad?" He whispered to his brothers. "He's nothing like our version." He added. Kaa nodded, "Of course he isn't, he's much younger...who knows what time period this is."
Midas cocked his head, "Anyway...it's been forever since I've seen my own kind! So where is my dad?" Midas asked his tail wagging very fast. Kemba kept to himself and let the others all have their moment with Midas and Cora, Kemba was content with just watching.

"I-I don't understand...does...does this mean my dad came back? Are you with him? Did he find our land!?" His father....Theos grandfather. That was right he had left to find Paradise. A land that didn't last long. Theos returned his sniffng, "Your scent is familiar....but still foreign....do we know each other?" Midas shook his head. "No that's not possible I've lived here all my life, there is no way we could have met." If only he knew.
"Anyway...it's been forever since I've seen my own kind! So where is my dad?" The very same question he had started asking himself. It made his heart ache. In the end his father was just like him wasn't he? Waiting for his father to come home. To lead him to happiness and Paradise. Only Theos didn't have a paradise to look forward to just his father.
"He's still searching. He's on the right trail though. He heard about a beautiful grassland surrounded by mountains. He's trying really hard to find the perfect paradise so we can all be happy," Theos responded. He couldn't bring himself to tell him Paradise wouldn't last.
"I mainly came to meet you. My father is also apart of his exhibition to find Paradise," Theos said his tail giving a plaintive thump at his lie. "I thought it would be good to talk and support one another since we share something in common," That wasn't a lie. Now he knew the truth....he was his fathers son. And like his father he had been left alone while their fathers had tried to keep them safe and give them a home.

"He's still searching. He's on the right trail though. He heard about a beautiful grassland surrounded by mountains. He's trying really hard to find the perfect paradise so we can all be happy," Midas's tail slowed to a halt and he dropped his head with a whimper. "Oh....I see..." Midas let out a sigh, "I mainly came to meet you. My father is also apart of his exhibition to find Paradise, I thought it would be good to talk and support one another since we share something in common," Midas lifted his head up and looked to Theos taking a seat. "Your dad is with my dad huh? That's cool, I guess. I suppose a mission like that is to dangerous for us kids. Guess he saw fit to send me a friend." Midas stood and turned around walking towards Cora. "You clearly have more to the story then you're letting on though. You're traveling with three foreign Spinomon and a digimon from the weapon clan of Aello, so before I can trust you how about telling Cora and I what you're doing with these band of digimon? Theowmon are solo by nature." Midas said. Kemba walked back to Theos's side and looked to Midas remaining silent. "We were all traveling to come to a commonplace that is it. We each had someone to meet in Coraggio and so it was safer to travel together." Don answered. Midas walked past the triplets and stood in front of Cora who moved behind Midas shying away from the strangers. "I get Theos came to see me, but who did you three come to see?" Midas asked. "We came to see the King....we just happened to hear about the crowned prince while we were here and decided to look for him to meet him. He is our age after all. Theos said you two would likely be together so he lead us here and turns out he was right." Kaa replied, Ban nodding frantically. Midas looked to Kemba who smiled, "I was hired by Theos's father...to uh..protect him on his way to Coraggio..." Kemba said. Midas took a regal stance, firm and strong "You're all lying." He said bluntly glaring at them. "No one comes from the outside to see the King unless summoned and a weapon of Aello would not be this far west to be a mercenary. They're fighting the human's war right now. So how about you all stop lying to me and we can keep this conversation civil." Midas let out a small growl. Kemba and the triplets grew nervous, Midas was very sharp. "The truth. Now. If you're truly one of the Theowmon recruited by my father, then prove it by telling me what it is you're truly doing with these people." Midas demanded.
The triplets backed up hiding behind Theos and Kemba. Kemba promptly moved his hand to his hilt but just as a safeguard, even if the opponent was Midas, he'd never let harm befall Theos. "Theos...this is not starting off how we wanted at all." Kaa said. "Are you going to fight?" Ban said worryingly, "I refuse to fight my father." Don added.

This was not off to a good start. He had seen through the triplets and Kembas lies easily. Theos father had a very sharp wit it seemed. There was no point in full on lying to him. Half truths to full truths were better. Though he had told one he had made it a bit more believable than simple chance.
"If you must truly know I hail from Mount Savage. Kemba," Theos motioned to the Spadamon. "Is my mate whom I met in the mines of Bai Hu when my instincts to roam kicked in. Along with these three Kaa, Don, and Ban," He said motioning to each in turn. "They came here in hopes of making a better life for themselves. And to do that they thought there was no better place than the palace," Theos said his tale weaving itself together as he spoke. He didn't doubt he would still question how a spadamon got there but he held his head a bit high and maintained eye contact. He just hoped this mixed truth would be enough. It was a partial truth no matter how one looked at it but time travel would be a weird conversation and if they tried to prove it by asking Magi he may become aware. The very thing Magi had warned them about.

The truth is always the best policy when making new friends." Midas relaxed himself, Cora looked at Midas "What do we do now? They know our secret." Cora asked. Midas turned and smiled softly at Cora patting his head with his hoof, "Our secret is still safe. Don't worry, Cora." Cora smiled back. "Okay." Midas moved in to the center of their space and sat down. "So then, this isn't an everyday occurrence that people actively seek us out. As peasants, all but Theos would be thrown into prison for fraternizing with royalty." Cora moved up towards Midas, "My dad is not keen on regular folk talking to us." Cora said. The triplets looked at one another, "King Gale isn't? We don't know a lot about him." Don said. "That's to be expected of outsiders. Though if you live in this kingdom, you'll learn quickly. Even if you're Spinomon, not being born into the royal family or a lordship makes you a peasant like any other. Especially those from that run down town of Bai Hu." Midas explained. Kemba frowned, "That must be troubling for the people." Kemba mentioned. Cora nodded, "Yes...my father is feared in this city...but as a result everyone complies. He's issued in an era of peace and prosperity through power." Cora explained. Midas shook his head, "It's not something I can stand behind but I'm to young to sway the people of this city." Midas said laying on his belly. Kaa sighed, "So going into the palace is impossible?" Midas shook his head, "Normally, yes but traveling with Theos should get you inside...though for how long I do not know. Speaking of, Theos, are you planning on living as a prince here to?" Midas asked. "Your dad sent you to be with me right? Does he know you've chosen a male as your partner? So young to." Midas asked. Kemba gave a nervous laugh, "He does...sort of." Kemba said. Cora looked at the triplets, "This may sound weird but...you three are familiar to me...I have no idea why." Cora said. The three laughed, "Well maybe it's our physique?" Don said. "Must be." Kaa said Ban nodding. Midas laughed, "Don't mind Cora, he's very shy and isn't really a peoples person." Cora frowned, "I just...don't normally...talk to people." Cora said. "Gale keeps him inside so much he hasn't developed people skills." Midas chuckled.

"I don't understand why you all felt the need to lie to us. The truth is always the best policy when making new friends." They could wave it off as being kiss ups with all the praise they had given Cora. Theos nearly sighed in relief, "What do we do now? They know our secret." Cora seemed a lot shier than the one he knew, "Our secret is still safe. Don't worry, Cora." Cora smiled back. "Okay." Theos gaze followed Midas. "So then, this isn't an everyday occurrence that people actively seek us out. As peasants, all but Theos would be thrown into prison for fraternizing with royalty." Even if you're Spinomon, not being born into the royal family or a lordship makes you a peasant like any other. Especially those from that run down town of Bai Hu." This could get troublesome fast if anyone learned about them then. Like if the guard spoke up. Would he be one to talk about what happened at the gate, "That must be troubling for the people." Kemba mentioned. Cora nodded, "Yes...my father is feared in this city...but as a result everyone complies. He's issued in an era of peace and prosperity through power." Cora explained. Midas shook his head, "It's not something I can stand behind but I'm to young to sway the people of this city." Well at least there was peace even if it was under a tyrants rule. Though he had to agree ruling with just an iron fist was cruel, "So going into the palace is impossible?" Midas shook his head, "Normally, yes but traveling with Theos should get you inside...though for how long I do not know. Speaking of, Theos, are you planning on living as a prince here to?" "I'm sure in time they'll develop," Theos said smiling. "I do plan on staying for a time. Though who knows how King Gale would take to us peasants," Theos chuckled. "And I do mean we. I wouldn't abandon my friends to live here. Maybe I could live in the city or something and come visit," It would make a good excuse for when they had to leave. Though a thought struck him. Do they have to leave through the same mirror or would any mirror do?

I wouldn't abandon my friends to live here. Maybe I could live in the city or something and come visit," Midas raised a hoof, "Whoa whoa whoa, slow down there...no one is saying that you can't live here. You may not know this but, Theowmon are sort of like automatic royalty in this kingdom. We could hold a coronation for you and you could select a Lord, that way they can live with you." Ban tilted his head in thought, "But that only makes it one Lord." Midas smiled, "Well...I still haven't picked a Lord, but that means one of you will have to be my servant for life you know...and Cora being a crowned prince can select one as well. We just have to figure out what to do with the fourth...hmm...well the last one can become staff and work here in the palace, then you'll all be allowed to stay despite King Gale's misgivings." Midas said his tail slightly wagging, Cora looked concerned "I don't know Midas....It sounds to easy." Cora said tapping his claws together. "It will be fine Cora, your dad is a stickler for the rules. He can't say no." Midas looked at them. "I don't like seeing such a great group of friends struggle, especially when one of them is my kind. It doesn't sit will with me." Cora looked at the group, "I trust Midas...so...I can use my title to crown one of you Lord." Cora stated. Kemba waved his paws in contempt, "That's all swell and good, but we're really only staying in this kingdom for a single day. We have somewhere else to be tomorrow." Kemba said. "Oh? That's to bad." Midas looked at Cora and stood up, "Hey Cora...I want to speak to the Theowmon in private, do you mind entertaining the rest?" Midas asked. Cora looked at Midas with surprise, "Me? What would I do?" Cora asked nervously. Midas pressed his head against Cora's who closed his eyes tightly in response, "Play ball or something silly. I promise to be quick." Midas smiled, one which Cora returned. "Okay Midas." Cora walked towards the triplets, "D-Do you guys wanna play catch?" Cora asked. The triplets all seemed to be estatic, "Yes!" They said in unison, Cora flinched but smiled, "Okay..." Cora walked over and picked up the ball. "Theos, follow me." Midas turned and walked off to the side sitting down away from earshot of the others. Kemba looked at Theos, "Wonder what it is he wants to say, think it has to do with his dad again?" Kemba asked. He'd stay put when Theos went to meet Midas. "I'll watch them play." Kemba turned to view the festivities of the ball being tossed back and forth.

Midas was smart to say the least. He wondered if it would truly be okay to use their powers like that. Although truth be told none of this was really happening. So it shouldn't be a an issue really in the long run. Though it would be troublesome to spend all their time going through a false coronation and all that.
"That's all swell and good, but we're really only staying in this kingdom for a single day. We have somewhere else to be tomorrow." Kemba said. "Oh? That's to bad." "Okay Midas." Cora walked towards the triplets, "D-Do you guys wanna play catch?" Cora asked. The triplets all seemed to be estatic, "Yes!" They said in unison, Cora flinched but smiled, "Okay..." It was endearing to watch him try so hard. "Theos, follow me." Theos took a few steps and looked back at kemba, "Wonder what it is he wants to say, think it has to do with his dad again?" Kemba asked. He'd stay put when Theos went to meet Midas. "I'll watch them play." Theos nodded.
Theos followed Midas off to one side of the room. His gaze looking to him curiously. He knew didn't he? It had been well woven but he knew it was still a lie. Something imply told him that.
"So what's up," Theos asked.

Midas looked at Theos and frowned a bit, "Why are you still lying to me?" He asked bluntly, "I am finding it very difficult to trust you and I want to but you're still hiding something from me. Something you're going through great lengths to protect." Midas looked at Cora playing with the triplets, "It's my job to protect Cora. He is my entire world. I spend day and night caring for him and giving him a strong figure he can lean on, so I know his scent very well." Midas looked back to Theos, "Those three Spinomon are covered in it. I wouldn't mistake it, when I passed by them...I smelled it clear as the morning sun being visible in the clear sky. Plus, Spinomon are native to the jungle, so why would three children be left in a place like Bai Hu? I can see you and I share a similar task in protecting something. I need to know right now if whatever it is you're doing and purposefully lying to me to keep secret, is going to endanger my precious one...because even if you're a Theowmon, I'll protect him no matter what." Midas stood and got as close to Theo's face as he could, a sweet smelling breath from Midas tickling Theos's nose. He stared him in his eyes with a piercing gaze, "I'm going to ask you one last time....and I want the truth, if I even get a hint of a lie. We're through you and I. Tell me what is really going on, who exactly are you and who are they to Cora? Why do they smell like him to a fault?" Midas said, his snout basically touching Theos. Kemba watched Theos and Midas from his periphery, his paw on the hilt of his sword. Preparing to attack at a moments notice. "If you truly wish to be my ally, you'll tell me the truth." Midas huffed.

"Why are you still lying to me?" He asked bluntly, "I am finding it very difficult to trust you and I want to but you're still hiding something from me. Something you're going through great lengths to protect." Theos knew it. His dad was too smart to be fooled so easily, "It's my job to protect Cora. I need to know right now if whatever it is you're doing and purposefully lying to me to keep secret, is going to endanger my precious one...because even if you're a Theowmon, I'll protect him no matter what." Theos heart skipped at his threatening stare. His mouth creasing into a frown, "I'm going to ask you one last time....and I want the truth, if I even get a hint of a lie. We're through you and I. Tell me what is really going on, who exactly are you and who are they to Cora? Why do they smell like him to a fault?" Theos couldn't lie again even if he wanted to. "If you truly wish to be my ally, you'll tell me the truth." Midas huffed.
"They are Coras sons," Theos put bluntly. No doubt earning a confused look. "Magi sent us through to a mirror world. This has all already happened in our time," Theos explained. "He returned us here....so I could meet you. You're my father," Theos said sighing. That was a weight of his chest though who knew if Midas would actually believe him. "In the future you leave me on Mountain Savage. No one knows where you are either." Theos looked to the ground sadly.

"They are Coras sons," Midas ears dropped back at the answer and his eyes open wide, but he did not stop staring deep into Theos's eyes. "Magi sent us through to a mirror world. This has all already happened in our time," Theos explained. "He returned us here....so I could meet you. You're my father," Midas stumbled back on his hind legs, coming to a seated position, staring at Theos. Midas knew Magi was a powerful Warlock, and he knew Theos wasn't lying. His mouth slightly open, his lips shaped like the letter O. His eyes staying fixed on Theos, "So then....you're a time traveler...which would explain the scents...completely. We're like...the same age...." Midas said. "Me...? A father and Cora to?" Midas looked over to Cora who caught a rather hard thrown ball, knocking him over on his back, the four giggling happily. Kemba watched with a smile stretched across his face. Midas looked back at Theos and gave a soft smile, "So Cora found happiness did he? I'm so happy." Midas stood back up. "To leave you on Mount Savage doesn't sound like me at all. If you're my son, I'd want to spend every day with you because that is what I want to do with my dad. Ever since he hatched me and told me that he would change our kind. I wanted to be with him, but he left me behind anyway." Midas's face brightened up, "I know it's a rule of time travel that I cannot know to much of the future. It's dangerous for the timeline, so I won't ask for the reason that I left you behind. I do want to apologize for it though. I know the older me probably had a very good reason, but even so, it makes me ill that I do that to my own child. I have no idea where I could be hiding though. There was a cave my dad raised me in for five years before coming here. Maybe I'm there? I don't really remember it's location though." Midas blushed a little, "I wonder who my mate will be." He said his ears drooping back. "I won't ask that either, I want it to be a surprise." Midas walked past Theos brushing his body against him as he walked by taking a more detailed look.
"Let me take a closer look at ya! Huh, I did a good job. You are pretty cute for a Theowmon. Strong body, tough hooves, well groomed, healthy teeth, you have my butt and.." Midas brought his snout down, peaking beneath Theos's back legs, "Your well developed down here to. Glad to know my genes carry over." Midas winked at Theos with a giggle and sat down in front of him. Kemba raising a brow at Midas, seeing him peak beneath Theos. It left him wondering what exactly Midas and Theos were discussing. "Feel free to take a closer look at me, it will be like looking in the mirror! Though a male for your mate and outside our species no less, don't know how I quite feel about that though. Don't you want kids of your own?" Midas asked, he paused and quickly shook his head, "Don't mind me, if you're happy with Kemba was it? Then that is good enough for me." Midas raised a hoof and placed it on Theos's head, "To travel through time just to meet me, I must have given you quite the hardship. Well Theos, since you have to return to your time tomorrow...I'll spend today with you. I'm sure your friends will want to spend time with Cora right? He seems to be getting along well with them. I know it's probably not the same as having the older me but, I hope the time you spend with me now will make up a little bit of the time you spent looking so hard for the older me." Midas stroked Theos head and put down his hoof; his tail wagging rapidly with anticipation. "Though how you convinced Magi to send you back in time must mean he either really trusts you not to mess anything up, or really trusts me to not ask to many questions. He's right either way, I don't really want to know the future. I live every day planning for the present then the unknown." Midas raised his head up looking into the sky with a thought, "Um...so...it's best we don't tell Cora any of this. He wouldn't understand it and I don't want to overwhelm him so...feel free to call me Midas instead of dad. Besides, right now we're the same age and it's just weird." Midas chuckled. "This is probably the most excited I've been since becoming Cora's friend." Midas said with a wide smile.
