Pip could feel his warmth as he was pulled closer. Slowly but surely this human was warming back up. Pip was rather glad he was starting to look and feel better in this warmth. His tail wagged lazily as he enjoyed the feeling on his fingers in his fur rubbing the skin hidden underneath.
"It was a nice tale Pip, though I don't really get it. Your world sounds complicated, I'm not good with complicated things. I don't much know about my own world or anything going on in it." Varim admitted.
"I'm not really comfortable in crowds...I find animals easier to be around then people, but I guess if we have to find these other humans, it can't be helped."
"We do have a seamstress in town but I am not sure if she has clothes that would fit. She makes them mainly for digimon and getting a custom job takes a lot of money," Pip explained why he referred them. "If you are uncomfortable I can go with you. I was leaving home to pave my own way anyway. It would do me good to get to know humans better."

Varim smiled and brought his face down, rubbing his cheek against Pips head. "I would like nothing more for you to be my guide in this world!" He said showing his affections.
"I don't believe in coincidence. I met you for a reason, I wish to stay by your side." Varim added, he raised his face from the soft fur. Varim hadn't realized that his body had warmed. He was just at peace holding Pip like this.
"I don't have any money, human or otherwise. I can't afford new clothes. My mother sewed the ones still dripping wet in your kitchen. Before those, I only had one other set that I used as a boy. She made me those when the other clothes had become to tight. Is it customary to have more than one pair?"

"I would like nothing more for you to be my guide in this world!" He said showing his affections.
"I don't believe in coincidence. I met you for a reason, I wish to stay by your side." Pip was happy to have a friend on this journey. Even if it was not what he had been planning.
"I don't have any money, human or otherwise. I can't afford new clothes. My mother sewed the ones still dripping wet in your kitchen. Before those, I only had one other set that I used as a boy. She made me those when the other clothes had become to tight. Is it customary to have more than one pair?"
"I think so. They don't always look the same," Pip said cocking his head.
Suddenly there was a slight bang at the door then it opened. In walked a large black dog. Easily three times the size of Pip. Large deep blue eyes stared at them a slight glare to them. It looked like he had heads on his shoulders.
"Welcome back dad," Pip said straightening and sitting up.
"Who is this human," he retort barely acknowledging Pips welcome. His gaze never leaving the human. Pip looked faintly worried. His father was gruff and not exactly friendly at first but once one got to know him he was easily a fun guy. He was sarcastic funny and loved playing mahjong.

"I think so. They don't always look the same,"
Varim nodded then flinched a bit when he heard a knock at the door, he turned his head as pip sat up on top of him. Another one of Pip walked through its entrance but it was bigger, much bigger and seemed a little firmer.
"Welcome back dad," Varim looked quickly to Pip and then to his father with a smile. He held onto Pips hips and greeted his father, "Hello sir."
"Who is this human," The gruff dog asked, his voice was intimidating but Varim did not scare. Aggressive animals were dealt with all the time on his mountain, but this one was sentient, perhaps as simple introduction.
"My name is Varim, your son was helping me. I'm sorry for the intrusion." Varim said, not able to register what it appeared to be to the adult digimon.

"My name is Varim, your son was helping me. I'm sorry for the intrusion." The cereberumon stared at him for a longer moment before snorting. He walked over to the kitchen and turned on the water. His tongue lapping at the facet for a moment before shutting it back off.
"I take it there is a good reason for your being here," he spoke gruffly and walked over to the fire eyeing the blanket over it. He reach for it to remove it.
"Please don't he doesn't exactly like fire," Pip said sheepishly. His father glared at Pip a moment then looked to Varim.
"A human who dislikes fire. What human is so naive to dislike that which he can control," he eyed Varim more carefully noticing his nudity and his pale skin. "Putting objects over a fire makes them more likely to burn Pip. You know this. If he dislikes fire make him stare at the wall. There is no reason to risk burning the whole home down," he scolded. Pips ears went back and he looked down.
"As for you human. I do not know your situation but you be best to abide by my rules while in this home. Understood," He said laying down the rules like a true alpha. He was the alpha male and this was his home no one came in without first accepting him as such.

"I take it there is a good reason for your being here," Varim watched him approach, he was a lot bigger up close.
"Y...yes sir." Varim said, the firmness in this digimon's voice reminded him of his own father.
"Please don't he doesn't exactly like fire,"
"A human who dislikes fire. What human is so naive to dislike that which he can control," Varim became nervous, his trembling started in his hands again. He gripped Pip's hips a little tighter.
"Putting objects over a fire makes them more likely to burn Pip. You know this. If he dislikes fire make him stare at the wall. There is no reason to risk burning the whole home down,"
"P...please don't..." He whispered.
"As for you human. I do not know your situation but you be best to abide by my rules while in this home. Understood,"
Varim's forehead broke into a sweat as his father prepared to reveal the flame. Pip's presence wasn't enough to calm the fear in his heart from the intense flame that would wait behind that covering.
"I...I can't...see it...not now." Varim pressed his face into Pips back, clenching his eyes shut, trying to shut it out. He wrapped his arms around Pips waist. "Pip...help me please..." He asked almost muffled.

"I...I can't...see it...not now." Pip nearly whined at his begging. It was much too pitiful. "Pip...help me please..."
He watched with a faint understanding. Finally Pip's father sighed. He removed the sheet tossing it over the human boy before sitting in front of the flame his back to it and blocking it from view with his bulk. The faint glow was still there but the fire itself wasn't.
"Look me in the eye and talk to me boy. You are safe here," his gruffness was not quite gone but he was much gentler than before. "Why do you fear the flames?" Pip Looked up to his father his tail wagging just slightly. It seemed he was accepting of Varim in their home.

Varim felt the sheet land on his head and back and he looked up at the father as he covered the flame, the faint glow remaining. Varim's hands shook less now, the sheet falling behind him.
"Look me in the eye and talk to me boy. You are safe here," Varim flinched slightly.
"Why do you fear the flames?" Varim looked away, dreading telling this tale again after such a short time.
"Earlier this morning...my family was burned alive in an unspeakable blaze. I was taken to this world before I joined them in their deaths. I watched my father and mother burn before my wolf brothers were next engulfed. Pip..."
Varim stared at Pip's back, "Pip found me at deaths door in the snowfields...I went from burning alive to freezing to death in a matter of moments." His tears rolled down his face and his voice cracked as he spoke.
"I...I'm sorry...I didn't mean for Pip to get in trouble at my expense...I can leave sir. This is your home as you said, you shouldn't need to cater to a stranger."

"Earlier this morning...my family was burned alive in an unspeakable blaze. I was taken to this world before I joined them in their deaths. I watched my father and mother burn before my wolf brothers were next engulfed. Pip..."
Pip looked back at his weak voice, "Pip found me at deaths door in the snowfields...I went from burning alive to freezing to death in a matter of moments." His eyes tearing a bit. It didn't get easier no matter how much he told it.
"I...I'm sorry...I didn't mean for Pip to get in trouble at my expense...I can leave sir. This is your home as you said, you shouldn't need to cater to a stranger."
He stared at him a moment then nodded to himself. "Calm yourself boy and simply be. I don't have to cater a stranger but it sounds like you have had a hell of a day. You are welcome to stay," he said his voice was deep but it no longer held its harsh tone.
"Yay," Pip said a little loudly. Trying to act happy.
"You're still a dimwit," his father responded raising a brow at Pip. Who just stuck his tongue out grinning slightly as his tail wagged. His father took in the necklace around pips neck.
"A digivice," he said questioningly. "Quite the outdated mode to come here....." he stopped suddenly looking to Pip. He landed feet from Pip and was found by him. That was no coincidence. His son had been chosen to have a human beside him. How ironic how such a simple boy could become something great.
Pip cocked his head at his fathers sudden quiet stare. What was he thinking? He seemed to understand the divice more than Pip did.

Varim was happy to hear it and smiled softly, "Yay," As was Pip it seemed.
"You're still a dimwit," A playful gesture between father and son, something Varim was familiar with himself.
"A digivice," he said questioningly. "Quite the outdated mode to come here....."
Varim looked curiously to the father, "Digivice? Is that what this device is called?" Varim leaned into Pip, reaching around his front to look at the inactive digivice.
"Do you know what this thing is? My wolf brother discovered it on my mountain about a week before the blaze."

"Digivice? Is that what this device is called?" Pip cocked his head also looking at it.
"Do you know what this thing is? My wolf brother discovered it on my mountain about a week before the blaze."
"I know what it is. Though not why you found it. All digimon know the origin stories of how humans first got here," he responded.
"So that's what this," Pip said looking at it. "I imagined something like Uncle Rickies tv remote." Hos father just shook his head.
"A digital device links the two worlds and chooses ambassadors from both to work together and keep peace. They are normally pure minded children wanting to do nothing more than good in the world," his father began. "You were chosen as a wielder and my son it appears to be your digimon. You'll make one another very strong so long as you work together."

"I know what it is. Though not why you found it. All digimon know the origin stories of how humans first got here,"
The origin story of how humans arrived on this world? Varim didn't know anything about that. Until this morning, he didn't know about digimon either.
"So that's what this," Pip said looking at it. "I imagined something like Uncle Rickies tv remote."
Varim chuckled a bit at Pip's musing and his father's response.

You'll make one another very strong so long as you work together."
Varim looked at the device and then to Pip, he didn't quite understand it but it sounded as if Pip was to be his new family. "So this digivice has bonded Pip and I?" He questioned.
Varim stroked Pips head, making sure to scratch his ears. He smiled, "I've only just met Pip, but I wouldn't mind being part of his family. I'm more comfortable with animals then people. He does bare a resemblance to my old wolves, only he is like me in a way."
"Though conflicts are not something I willingly go into. Is there no way for me to avoid such things? I was taught to defend myself with my Estoc, never to use it as an aggressive tool."

"So this digivice has bonded Pip and I?" He nodded in response. There was no other answer for it. The Tundra is vast he could have much more easily ended up far away from Pip and while in the same country never had met him.
"I've only just met Pip, but I wouldn't mind being part of his family.
"Good," he spoke. "However your pitiful sword will only work on weaker digimon." The ceberumon patted his plating. "Some of us evolve to have tough skin like this. You sword would break if faced against someone of my aptitude. You have much to learn about us digimon. For now you may take your time to learn it."
"Maybe he can go to school," Pip said enjoying his affections.
"I think a human would cause quite a stir," his father responded. "I will talk if over with your mother. If nothing else we can take turns teaching him."
"Me too," Pip said tail wagging.
"Right," he said hesitantly. Pip could teach some things but even at full grown he acted like nothing but a pup. "Although before anything he should be clothed. Why you sit in a naked man's lap is beyond me." His father shook his head at Pip who just cocked his head.
Was there something wrong with sharing your body warmth? And it was kind of comfy. Pip just sort of shrugged it off.

You sword would break if faced against someone of my aptitude. You have much to learn about us digimon. For now you may take your time to learn it."
Varim looked over the father, he certainly was nothing like Pip. He had a strong body and was big too. A proud alpha to say the least. He remembered the alpha of his wolves, it almost never showed an affectionate side. It accepted Varim as part of the pack and treated him as such. Even so much as protecting him as a child during a bear attack. It is what caused Varim's father to teach him how to fence. The alpha did not survive that attack, Varim remembered crying for days.
"Maybe he can go to school," School? It would be crowded with people wouldn't it? The thought made Varim nervous and he hugged Pip a little tighter.
"I think a human would cause quite a stir," his father responded. "I will talk if over with your mother. If nothing else we can take turns teaching him."
"Me too," Pip said tail wagging.
Learning what he needed from them sounded a lot more promising and they were likable. He admittedly wanted to learn more about them specifically then the tasks his father had spoken before.
"Although before anything he should be clothed. Why you sit in a naked man's lap is beyond me."
Varim didn't see the problem same as Pip, perhaps his father didn't know that body heat was essential to stave off hypothermia.
"Pip saved my life sir, humans catch an illness called hypothermia in extreme temperatures that causes our blood to slow and heart to halt. We grow tired and if we fall asleep, we die. My clothes are far to wet to keep on, my body needed to be quickly warmed and the best way to help a human afflicted is bare heat." Varim explained.
"In this case, fur to skin. hmm hmm." Varim stroked Pips back a bit before nuzzling it with his face. If it wasn't obvious before, he was clearly a very affectionate human being.
"Is there an issue if I am undressed? I wouldn't think it an issue given you all are too. If you don't mind my saying sir, you are quite healthy. I've never seen a male wolf as well off as you. A strong, healthy stud like yourself must have had quite an easy time attracting females."
Varim said referring to the father's more sensitive parts as he sat down, it was hard to miss. To Varim, such things were unimportant when concerning animals, he still had to learn the difference between beast and digimon. Just because they appeared as such, did not make them like it. There mind set could be more akin to a humans, but then Varim knows no other human or their lifestyle. This was all just normal for him.
Varim wrapped his arms around Pips belly in a hug and smiled at the father, hopefully the intended compliment went over well.

They just weren't seeing it were they?
"In this case, fur to skin. hmm hmm." Pip chuckled feeling his warm breath through his fur.
"Is there an issue if I am undressed? I wouldn't think it an issue given you all are too. If you don't mind my saying sir, you are quite healthy. I've never seen a male wolf as well off as you. A strong, healthy stud like yourself must have had quite an easy time attracting females."
Stud? Pip's fathers body began shaking then he snorted and began laughing. A loud boisterous tone. It made Pip laugh as well.
"Hardly boy. I wasn't always this big just like you. You too are made for one another with those innocent acts of yours," he shook his head and calmed to a smile. They were both naive little pups. They saw nothing wrong with this cuddling. Human's didn't have sheaths and their maleness could not be hid. "Bah we have spoken love enough. I am too hungry after a days work."
He started to stand. The fire peeking between his legs. He turned towards it and with one big puff it was out like a candle. The smoke wafting out the chimney and the embers glowed ever so lightly. Two lanterns were lit with much smaller more avoidable flames. He then set to work in the kitchen.
"This is a woman's job. I can never find where she put half the stuff," He grumbled as he rummaged about.
