"Hardly boy. I wasn't always this big just like you. You too are made for one another with those innocent acts of yours," An act? Varim wasn't acting on anything. What a strange phrase to use after a compliment he thought.
"Bah we have spoken long enough. I am too hungry after a days work."
Varim watched the father's back as he blew out the fireplace like a lit candlestick. It definitely impressed him. He wondered how big his lungs were to be able to do something like that. The lanterns flames did not have the same effects on his mind, they were tolerable and Pip being there with him helped immensely. He kept his grip around Pips stomach now completely warmed to the adolescent acting male.
He had to say, he felt a lot more comfortable with Pip then he ever did with the wolves he grew up with. Was this want Pips father meant when he explained everything? He wondered if Pip was feeling the same. He'd have to ask about it.
"This is a woman's job. I can never find where she put half the stuff,"
Varim chuckled at the fathers frustration, and looked to Pip. He blew lightly on his ear, to gain his attention. Varim smiled in much higher spirits now then moments before when Pip turned to see him.
"I don't know if this is premature Pip but, I don't know what it is about you but I feel very comfortable being near you. It's strange in a way because we've only met mere hours ago and when I'm by you I feel at peace. More then when I even lived with my wolf brothers. Is this what your father meant? I don't know if you feel the same. Perhaps I'm just overly fond of wolves."

As Pip's father started to complain about not being able to find anything, the door of the house was practically slammed open. In came running a white labramon. The usual pink markings and tail were a bright blue. She came in with a smile. "Dad, Pip, we're ho-" Her voice paused and she came to a halting stop as she noticed the stranger... holding onto her younger brother. Immediately, her hackles were raised and her teeth were bared, and she slowly stepped towards him, a growl emanating from her throat. "Who are you?! Let go of my brother!" She moved to jump at Varim, but as her paws left the ground, a red hand wrapped around her small body, stopping her in the air.
"Rhee! You dont just go attacking strangers like that.." The voice was soft, yet stern, coming from the door way. There stood a female Gaogamon, a bag of groceries in one red hand and her child in the other. Rhee struggled in her mothers grip. "He's a strange human!" She barked and her mother silently shook her head with a sigh.
"That doesnt give a right to maim the poor thing." She let her child down on the ground, where Rhee sat, a frown on her maw. "Now behave, I must put the groceries away." The Gaogamon made her way to the kitchen, giving a kiss and a quick hello to her husband. "Go keep an eye on them dear. Ill get dinner ready but I want an explanation about the human boy later." She gave a smile to him before getting to work in the kitchen, easily finding what she needed unlike her husband.
Rhee stayed where she was dropped, but would not move her gaze from Pip and the human. It looked like she was glaring daggers at poor Varim. But, having been scolded, she made no move to attack any more.

"I feel comfortable around everyone. Except mean old Mr. Hammond. He steals the balls if they touch his tower," Pip responded with a smile. He gaze going to his dad as he seemed to find a bit of what he needed.
"Dad, Pip, we're ho-" Pips ears perked at the sound of his sisters voice. He turned towards the door his tail wagging. His words of welcome drowned out by his sister. "Who are you?! Let go of my brother!"
"Rhee! You dont just go attacking strangers like that.." Pips ears went back and a sigh of relief left his muzzle. That was too close for comfort. "He's a strange human!"
"That doesnt give a right to maim the poor thing." She let her child down on the ground, where Rhee sat, a frown on her maw. "Now behave, I must put the groceries away." The cerberumon let out a low rumble at her kiss. Not unlike a cat's pleased purring though much shorter and much deeper. "Go keep an eye on them dear. Ill get dinner ready but I want an explanation about the human boy later."
"Of course," he responded going back and laying on the largest of the cushions. Well his front half was anyway his back half hanged off of it but he seemed comfortable laying there his head raised high to take in the room.
"Welcome back Sis," Pip said chuckling slightly.

Varim turned his attention to the opening of the door his smile remaining and his grip still tightly around Pip after hearing his answer.
"Dad, Pip, we're ho-" Varim heard the young pup say, suddenly she noticed him and had become immediately violent. Varim didn't have anyway to defend himself and he froze up as she charged him. Only to be stopped by the second larger dog walking inside.
"Rhee! You dont just go attacking strangers like that.." Varim let out a breath he had started to hold when she looked to attack him.
"He's a strange human!" She barked and her mother silently shook her head with a sigh.
"That doesn't give a right to maim the poor thing. Now behave, I must put the groceries away."
Varim watched the mother disappear and the father reappear settling himself on the couch as the Labramon's gaze firmly rested its stare on him. He didn't feel uncomfortable though. This was normal, he wasn't accepted by all of his wolves right away either.
"Welcome back Sis," so this was Pip's sibling? Interesting.
"My name is Varim Lance miss." He said with a smile, "Mother always said that you're no longer a stranger but an acquaintance when you exchange names. What is yours sister of Pip?" He asked.

The Gaogomon gave a small chuckle at the sound her husband made, pressing her muzzle against his in affection before he went off to keep an eye on the children. As she was putting things away and taking ingrediants out, her golden gaze landed on the wet clothes hanging on the hooks. A small smile came to her. That explained the nakedness of the human in the living room. The Gaogamon used her scarf hands to pick up the wet clothes, moving to the bathroom to lay them across a bar that usually held towels for drying their fur. After, she went back to what she was doing, humming a small tune as she began dinner for the family.
Rhee wouldnt let her gaze off the stranger that was holding onto her brother, even as her father came into the living room to keep an eye on things. Her ears were against her head and the fur on her back stood on end. She was obviously very uneasy. When Pip spoke to her, her gaze was turned to him and she gave a small smile. "I should say the same to you. What happened to going on an adventure?"
She would ignore Varim even as he introduced himself, although her ears did move to his direction when he mentioned his learned manners. The excuse he had actually made her laugh a bit, although she wouldnt look at him specifically, only focusing on her brother. It was when he asked her name that she finally looked to him, her gaze becoming firm. "Its Rhee.... Can you let go of my brother.. We barely know you, why are you clinging to him like some human toy?" She was referring to the human children who got attached to stuffed animals.
Just then, the mother would call from the kitchen. "Oh, honey, what does that human boy like to eat? I hope hes not an herbivore!"

"I should say the same to you. What happened to going on an adventure?" Pip shrugged a bit sheepishly in response.
"Its Rhee.... Can you let go of my brother.. We barely know you, why are you clinging to him like some human toy?" A toy? Well he wouldn't mind playing with Varim. It would probably be very fun.
"I don't mind sis," Pip responded to her. He smiled and chuckled.
"Oh, honey, what does that human boy like to eat? I hope hes not an herbivore!"
"I'm not a human how would I know," Pip's father responded and raised his back leg to scratch his ear.

"Its Rhee.... Can you let go of my brother.. We barely know you, why are you clinging to him like some human toy?" Varim frowned, she really did not like him being here.
"I don't mind sis," Varim looked to the back of Pip's head and scratched it.
"Thank you Pip, my body has warmed up considerably, I don't think I'm in any danger of freezing. Though my clothes still must dry, if you seek to go elsewhere, I won't stop you but you're more then welcome to remain here with me." Varim ran his fingers through the fur on Pip's back releasing his hug in case Pip chose to leave his lap.
"Oh, honey, what does that human boy like to eat? I hope hes not an herbivore!"
"I'm not a human how would I know,"
Varim smiled, "Anything is fine ma'me. I did a lot of hunting with my wolves. We mostly had meat, but vegetables are fine as well. I am not picky...unless it comes to fruit. I don't find fruit all the appealing...unless it is sweet tasting." Varim explained.
For as long as Pip remained, he'd continue petting his back.

Rhee let out an irritated sigh at the answers she was given. She huffed at them, laying down and placing her head on top of her front paws. "Whatever, do what you want, but you hurt my brother and Ill have to teach you a lesson." There was a glare sent to Varim before her golden eyes were closed. It appeared she had given up in her endeavor to protect her brother from the stranger. She appeared to not be so quick to accept Varim, unlike the rest of the family.
The family would hear a chuckle coming from the kitchen when their father responded to the mother's question. She was about to tell him to ask the young boy for her, but paused as Varim responded himself. A small smile came to her maw and she nodded. "As long as you're a fan of meat, honey." A squelch of juice was heard as claws came down to cut up the large steaks she had brought from the market. She dumped the cut up chunks onto a pan. Keeping a scarf hand around the handle, she poked her head out. "Dinner will be ready in a few minutes!"

Pip smiled at Varim as he told him he was warm now. "That's good," he said and watched as he called back to his mother. Pip hopped out of his lap to go see what she was making.
"What do you plan to do now? You don't have to answer at the moment but you should think about it," Pip's father said watching his son as he trotted up beside his mother tail wagging and watching her. "You are welcome to stay as long as you need too."

"What do you plan to do now? You don't have to answer at the moment but you should think about it,"
Varim listened to the fathers words as the cold of the room set in as Pip left his lap. He put his hands on his lap and thought, "I don't know...I've only ever known one life. I can't go back to my mountain, there is nothing left for me there except the ashes of my family."
Varim pressed his knees together, "The human government was the one that burned down my home and killed my parents and my wolves. All because they wanted me to join their military. I can't go back to the human world, and I don't know a thing about this one or your kind. I wouldn't want to overstay my welcome either, Rhee is bothered by my presence here."
Varim gave it some more thought, "Pip said humans are here too but I'm not sure I can trust them. My life could be in danger. I was going to go get supplies from them, but I don't know if I should."

Leonna looked over as her son came into the kitchen. As soon as Pip walked up to her, she lowered her head to give him a nuzzle along his back. "Hello, my dear pup? Want to see what mommy is making?" The scarf moved down to pick up the smaller digimon, placing him on her shoulders so he could see what she was cooking.
The chunks of meat crackled in the pan, grease collecting against the bottom as the smell of cooked meat filled the house. "What do you think we should have with it, Pip?" A scarf hand moved to open up cabinets, a variety of different foods found in them.
Meanwhile, Rhee silently listened to the idle conversation between Varim and her father. She would look over to the human, only a glance as her eyes closed once again.

"Pip said humans are here too but I'm not sure I can trust them. My life could be in danger. I was going to go get supplies from them, but I don't know if I should." He was right to be weary but W.A.D.A. was a different organization than whatever came after him.Though wither they came after him or not inside the group was another matter.
"Hello, my dear pup? Want to see what mommy is making?" Pip grinned and laid down into her fluffy white mane. The meat smelled wonderful and his tongue lolled out.
"What do you think we should have with it, Pip?"
"Potatos, you can't go wrong with them," Pip said his tail beating against his mothers shoulders.
"You re right to be weary. You are not a digimon however. You need human contact to survive just like all digimon need digimon contact. Take your time however get to know this place. Do your own research and talk to people. Humans have become plentiful in recent years though they seem to avoid this place. It is much to cold for their furless bodies," his father said.
"Start off small and work your way forward. First an foremost should be providing for yourself. Meaning working for money or hunting for yourself," Pips father said puffing his chest out slightly to indicate himself as a great example.

Varim looked at the father as he finished speaking, "I am not fond of large crowds. I try to avoid them if at all possible. I know I'll need to interact with humans eventually...I just don't look forward to that. I've always been more comfortable around animals." Varim clenched his hands on his lap.
"As for hunting...I've done that before with my wolf pack. I was trained in the art of fencing. To be quick and precise in combat because your life is always on the line. Fighting bears required me to be strong and smart and respect the prey. One swing from a claw could shatter me or a clamp of the jaw. Every strike had to be calculated and effective to bring them down. Though it was always easier with a partner." He motioned his hand as if in the heat of combat wielding his saber.
"I hope I'll be able to be a worthy enough partner to Pip since it seems you're giving him to me sir." Varim gave a thankful nod.

Pip's mother gave a small chuckle at her son upon his suggestion and nodded. "Potatos it is. Thats a great choice, honey." The scarf that opened up the cabinets quickly pulled out a couple of potatoes, both white and red and placed them on the counter. Leonna left the meat to sizzle, and, using her claws, sliced the potatos into chunks with ease. Even as she wprked, it seems her scarf never stopped moving, already setting up a pot of water as she did this. Once they were all sliced, she placed them in the pot before sliding the cooked meat onto a plate from the pan. She slipped the rest of the meat into the pan to cook and went over to the doorway of the kitchen. "Dinner should be ready soon. Rhee, would you like to help set plates for everyone?"
The young Labramon perked up at her mothers voice before she scowled. "Why do I have to!? Cant Pip do it..."
Leonna gave her a smile. "Because I asked you. Now come, Rhee, dont be so lazy."
An audible groan came from her before Rhee stood up and ran into the kitchen, moving to help her mother prepare. Leonna looked to Pip upon her shoulders. "So tell me, my dear Pip, where did you find this human?"

Pip watched his tail wagging happily. He had been learning to cook from watching his mother. He couldn't wait to see if he grew a scarf like hers it would be so cool and handy.
"Dinner should be ready soon. Rhee, would you like to help set plates for everyone?"
"Why do I have to!? Cant Pip do it..."
"Because I asked you. Now come, Rhee, dont be so lazy." Pip chuckled a bit.
"Yeah come on Rhee. It is always funner when we do it together," Pip said smiling.
"So tell me, my dear Pip, where did you find this human?"
"About four miles south of town. He was collapsed in the snow and looked ready to freeze to death," Pip answered.
"Boy Pip is a very innocent beast despite his age. You can hunt but he only knows the basics. Honestly he would probably turn vegetarian before harming another soul with his own two paws. He can protect you but in exchange you must protect him as well. I am not handing him over to you for he will always be my son. If anything happens to him I'm killing whomever did it," Pips father said bluntly.
"So do the best you can for both of you. As I'll accept nothing less," he said and started to stand.
