Talvi walked into the training hub once more. The last time she was here she had faced a foe that had taken her down. This time though she wanted a different kind of foe. She walked up to the module and began setting the parameters. "Strength equal to level 40. Airdramon Chosen," A machines voice announced. "Initialize," Talvi commanded both it and her device. She transformed into her harpymon form and took to the skies. With a name like airdramon she knew her foe could fly as well. Which was exactly what she wanted. She wondered how close to reality this virtual world was. If she flew high enough would she eventually hit the roof? Or was the battle all in her mind? It didn't matter in the end did it. Instead she focused on locating her enemy. She watched the ground for it or its shadow in case it was above her. SoltheGuilmon

When the machine came to life, the virtual landscape initiated and took into account Talvi's abilities as Harpymon. Suddenly, she was in the sky with no ground below her or above her, just a sea of clouds. She could hear the growling of a dragon, it was close. It came out of the clouds, its lithe body much bigger than Talvi. It flew towards her like a snake slithering through the grass, its jaws open and drool falling from its maw. It was amazing how real these virtual opponents could be. It flew at her in an attempt to bite into her, not caring if it missed it would continue flying and dive into the clouds and out of sight.
It would reemerge shortly afterwards from below that same cloud with mighty roar as it fixed its vision on the Harpymon. Its mighty wings flapping and it appeared to control the wind around it rather well. It seemed this opponent she had chosen was a master of the sky, this battle may not be as different than the one she had before.

Her gaze went up as the beast roared. She watched it carefully wondering how fast such a lithe beast was. She easily avoided its attack. Having seen it coming from so far away. She was surprised at the simpleness of its battle tactic. Charging right at her with no care for the fact she could have retaliated easily.
She watched the clouds below her her gaze narrowing as she search for any form of movement. Two could play the game of hit and run if this beast was so inclined. It reemerged and she could feel its voids of wind. She nodded to herself it was not the only one with wind based powers. She would try to teach it who truly ruled these skies. With that she formed her wind based blades throwing several at the beast. It's large red wings and mouth her targets.
As it got closer she would let herself drop out of its reach. Then thrust herself up to try and catch its underbelly in her talons. She was careful not to be whipped by its long and undoubtedly strong tail. If it pursued her downwards then she would suddenly catch herself and angled it so she could fly along its spine breathing away as soon as she was out from between its wings.
If it started countering her wind blades with its own shots of air she would charge it and drop down into the clouds using them as cover to plan her next move. Even as the moisture got to her feathers making it to where she couldn't stay there for long.

The dragon's own wings had the ability to manipulate the air around it just as Talvi did. Her blades were quickly negated as it approached the wings, the head however waas struck but the bone armor it wore gravely reduced the damage. It continued its pursuit, slightly slowed. The dragon quickly made its way towards Talvi in another attempt to bite at her, when she dropped its eyes followed her. His body like a snake was very quick to jerk away from her talons, countering with a tail that Talvi dodged as well.
Two masters of the sky would make this for a lengthy and tiring battle. The snake dragon turned with a roar and stopped itself in air, Talvi could see the air forming around its wings as the clouds pulled into them. "Spinning Needle!" It cried as it released vaccum needle shaped blades at Talvi. They were more focused than Talvi's wind blades, making them stronger and more dangerous. Trying to counter them with her own blades of wind would be futile as she would discover if she tried. They'd break through her wind blades easily and still go to find their target.
The beasts feral demeanor betrayed its high intelligence. Talvi would realize that this master of wind was not just some ignorant animal.

Talvi turned watching the beast as it hovered there. It's body seeming to distort slightly as the air around it moved. "Spinning Needle!" She had no idea what type of attack that was but she flew upwards deciding not to risk it with such a piercing name as Needle. She watched the blades go under her. They seemed rather even at distanced combat so she would have to get closer.
She dived at the Airdramon. Her voice steadily growing as she approached. A soft song coming from her lips to dull its senses. If it attacked her while she was diving she'd roll off to one side. Her wings catching her and her song uninterrupted as she hovered there.
If for some reason her song wasn't working she'd stop and not waste the energy. Instead she would catch herself midair gliding right above its head her aim for its spine. If she failed to catch the spine she would ascend quickly into a cloud flying off just a bit to one side within it so if it followed it would miss her and give her a chance to claw at its sides.

Airdramon watched Talvi rise, she was more cautious then he realized. She began to dive at him and he narrowed his vision charging her as well. He could hear a faint sound as he approached. It was a lovely tune. His vision slightly began to blur, he could feel his energy leaving his body. As he got closer to Talvi, the sound got louder, it was her voice!
A spell to place him into slumber, and steal his strength. He had to do something and fast, he took a deep breath and let out a loud roar to deafen her song. His roar drowned out the song and restored to him his strength. He whipped around using his unique physique to lash his tail around at Talvi, cracking it like a whip. He had hoped his roar was enough to daze or shock her.
If it hit, he'd watch her fall and followed it up with a wind blades similar to Talvi's "Wing Cutter!"
If it had missed, he'd fly away from her, disappearing into the clouds.

The sudden loud noise of its deafening roar at such a close distanced robbed Talvi of her hearing for a moment. It also took her a moment to realize it was attacking from beyond her dazed state. She caught herself with her wings the wind catching her painfully threatening to force her arms out of socket. It didn't compare to the pain that came from its upper tail snapping against her stomach and chest. She let out a silent gasp and started falling.
She closed her eyes trying to catch her breath even as it whipped by her face. It took a long moment but she slowly opened her wings slowing her descent a little more gradually so she didn't get a repeated whiplash like last time. She looked back the air seemed to be gathered in sections and coming upon her quickly. She veered upwards and angled herself once more into ascent letting the blades pass her by even as she sought refuge in a cloud. She hovered there a moment continuing to catch her breath.
Satisfied she could finally breath again for the most part. No doubt with a broken rib maybe two it was hard to tell. She finally burst forth from the clouds once more eyeing her enemy. She snarled slightly....this was going to be a battle of endurance it seemed. She began throwing dozens of her wind blades at her foe. The barrage aimed mainly for its head but several were aimed for the area around it so if it tried to dodge it would still get hit.
If it started countering her blades with its own she would continue her barrage not letting up for a moment. Making it a test of endurance between them. If it charged once more she would continue the barrage til it was nearly on top of her then fly upwards avoiding it.

The wind dragon eyed the barrage of wind blades, the air distorting in front of him. He let out an annoyed hiss then thinking quickly, flapped his wings mightly pushing himself directly backwards. He kept going until the attacks were so widespread he was able to freely dodge them without worry. He wouldn't waste his energy constantly sending blade after blade to match hers. She would eventually have to stop her pointless barrage now that he was to far for them to be effective. He hovered in place, his long body looked like a screw as it turned in a circular motion with no where to go.
He was calculating his next move, flying with a low growl. They were both to far foe either projectiles to be effective, they'd need to move in. After a moment of eyeing Talvi, he let out a battle roar and soared forward, sharply zig zagging to keep her anxious. When he was within projectile range, he quickly turned sharply, diving into the puff of cloud and disappearing. He remained silent, and invisible gliding instead of flapping to hide the sound of his powerful wings. The cloud he dove into was large and puffy, it spanded for miles even past Talvi's hovering position. If she gave chase into the cloud, the Airdramon would be prepared. He'd gather the wind around his wings, the white condensed cloud pulled into the vaccum "Spinning Needle!" He'd yell firing his piercing vaccum of wind where he noticed the disturbance in the clouds when Talvi entered.
If she tried to gain distance from the vast cloud, he would remain inside biding his time. Unable to see her, but listening for the sound of her wings approaching or the sound of ripping wind..not that she could see him either. Prepared to strike if she entered the cloud. If she remained hovering but cautious of him inside the cloud, he'd send blades out of the cloud towards her from different parts to keep his location hidden. Zig zagging within the white substance, and releasing blade after blade. While she was distracted with dodging, he'd launch himself from the cloud, following after the blade of wind. His jaw open and ready to clamp down on her belly. Failing that, he'd pull away opposite her direction to remove himself from attack range.
If she decided to copy his method of pulling directly backwards to avoid the blades, he'd launch himself out of the cloud, a ball of wind concentrated at the tip of his tail. Torrential wind, circling violently about and snap it like throwing a baseball at incredible speed, hoping to hit her before she could realize it and change her direction. If failing that, he'd glare at her and remain hovering.

Talvi glares as it moves out of range and she stops her barrage not wanting to waste the energy. There was no way to back it into a corner and they seemed actually evenly matched. Which was a relief. If this was like most games level ninety-nine was the max so she was almost halfway there.
Talvi rushed at the zig zagging digimon but it disappeared into the clouds. She started to glide above them and then dove down and right through the cloud quickly testing the airdramon. Blades ripped through the cloud above her but several more followed each angled different. As she hovered there she tried to figure out its pattern even as she dodged each blade. They were easily seen as they pushed the cloud around them. It ended though with it bursting forth from the cloud mouth agape.
She didn't budge though. Its mouth was already open so it couldn't roar. Instead she raised her voice once more to lull it and drop down slightly to claw at its jaw and under throat. If it swerved away she would follow trying to claw at its tail and wings. She would try to remain close and in its draft so it couldn't turn on her.

The Airdramon heard the song of Talvi, its spell was quick to work causing the dragon to lose its senses long enough to slow. Talvi ducked underneath it as its vision blurred slightly. An intense pain ran through its jaw, causing his head to jerk with a pained roar. Just enough that the talons exited the beasts flesh before gutting his throat. The pain breaking Talvi's spell, it continued flying, the blood dripping from the wound on its bottome jaw. She had not cut through into the mouth thankfully for him. He looked behind him, noticing Talvi on his tail. Aiming to claw his tail and tear his wings, to redden her talons deeper with his blood.
She stayed behind him, not allowing him to turn and face her. His tail was nicked and he winced, his constant moving helped it however, Talvi could never get him clean. He watched as she next aimed to tear into his wing and cripple him, she'd be in for a very rude surprise. As he flapped his wings down, he gathered wind around them so that when they came back up at the apex, they fired off wind blades at Talvi as her talons were coming to make contact. Though a weaker version if he had shot out the wind from the end of his flap, this would prove effective at such a range and more importantly, prevent her from ripping into his important wings.
If he was successful and she was hit, he'd fly to distance himself then turn back around and attack her. He let out a roar to discourage her siren song and then pretended to try and bite her, feinting into a tail whip instead. His long tail cracking like a whip. He would avoid any attempt to counter, dodging wind blades or roaring to stop any siren song. He'd turn and circle her from a distance.
If he wasn't successful, and she dodged he'd still distance himself then turn around and continue his attack in the same manner.

Talvi's claws closed in on its wings and that was when she felt a searing pain. She cried out stopping her pursuit as a blade of wind dug into her talons. It had cut deep exposing the bone and threatening to tear all the way through. She blacked out a moment from the pain only instincts keeping her aloft and preventing her from dropping out of the sky. When she came to the airdramon was upon her so she let herself drop. Its tail snapping just above her head.
She tried closing her claws but the pain kept her from doing little more than twitching her claws. At least they could move. Now both were bruised and bleeding and she didn't doubt that it had to lose a lot more blood than her to faint from the loss. It began circling her like a vicious predator eying its prey. She growled at the wyrm and began releasing her blades just inches in front of its head so it could fly into them. Her blades would be angled at it no matter which way it dodged in a endless barrage until it backed out of range once more to give her breathing room. If it attacked her instead she would fly into a cloud and hover in there.
She had to think this through. What more could she do? It was obvious the wings were impossible to tear into which left the underbelly and spine. Both hard to reach from a distance and her claws were useless right now. It wouldn't fall for her song again and her blades couldn't make openings against its armored head. Getting behind it seemed to do the trick so would have to do that again.

The Airdramon noticed the blades and he quickly moved to avoid them, dodging in every direction trying to remain close. Talvi's onslaught of wind blades managed to force the Airdramon to back away, but he didn't back away without countering first, realizing she was aiming for his head to force him away. He gathered a focused amount of wind at the tip of his tail. When he moved back to begin his retreat from the blades, he snapped the ball of torrential air from his tail sending it towards Talvi in an attempt to catch her off guard while she tried to attack his head.
The wyrm made its retreat, escaping to a safe distance from her blades and looked forward to see if his attack had worked. He hissed glaring at Talvi, he began flying towards her; hit or miss. It stopped short as soon as Talvi was within range lashed out with a roar letting out a wind blade, then diving left of her and releasing another. The wyrm would launch a blade then circle a bit and launch another, slowly making its way closer to Talvi. Making sure to aim at her own wind blades if she decided to attack with them.

Talvi stopped her blades as she say it move out of range its tail snapping out and a ball of air following. She bolted straight up and didn't stop. She decided she would climb as high as she could go she moved herself just so to zig zag slightly and circled to avoid its attacks. As she felt the air thin she stopped flapping. If it had followed her she would dive right for it only releasing blades to divert its own. She aimed herself between its shoulder blades diving between them a releasing dozens of short burst blades made for quantity instead of damage.
If it didn't she would glide against the sun to make herself invisible then dive down. Once in range again she would release her her blades to counter is own. She aimed herself between its shoulder blades diving between them a releasing dozens of short burst blades made for quantity instead of damage.
If it dodged her she would angle herself once more onto its tail launching blades at its back and tail. Doing her utmost to keep on it.

Airdramon watched Talvi rise into the sky and he gave chase. Following her into the atmosphere. It kept up its wind blades assault at her heel, but she was diving deflecting his own. He glared as they were fast approaching.
He attempted to bite at her, but she pulled away going by his shoulders. She released a numerous amount of small blades at his back. Airdramon gave a cry of pain as multitude of bloody wounds appeared. In reaction to the sudden jolt of pain, Airdramon whipped his tail out at Talvi as she started passing it.
Hit or miss, he turned and dived down to go after the Harpymon. He let out a roar synonymous with his anger. Droplets of blood falling behind him from the wounds he had just recieved.
If she had been hit before by the tail whip, he'd send a spinning needle at her, then continue after her. If she dodged, he'd react to the direction in an attempt to headbutt her. Pulling away if he hit or missed, circling around.
If she had dodged the tail from earlier, he'd fire more wind blades at her own if she attacked with that or if she fled, he'd give chase, trying to stay on her heel. He tried to catch up to her, being slightly faster then her. His jaw open and a hiss escaping it, he would try to clamp down on her leg once he could reach it.
If she did meet his blades with her own, he'd press forward still until he was close enough he'd stop attacking with his wind blades, ensuring only his wings were safe with a strong current keeping her blades at bay. He'd take her attack to any portion of his body and open his jaw to clamp down as tightly as he could on her left leg.

Talvi veered away from the tail almost making it out of reach but the tip sliced at her leg and she yelped as the force sent her careening. She flapped trying to correct herself into a hover. She turned just in time to see dozens of needle like blades being shot at her. She veered away feeling one graze her side. She was slowing down she had lost too much blood and she could only hope the Airdramon was feeling the same.
She looked to the airdramon charging her for a headbutt. She began singing knowing it would just roar to drown it out but that was what she wanted. If it roared she would quickly fling a blade into its mouth hoping to harm it enough that its roar wouldn't be able to drown out her song next time as she dodged above him.
If he didn't she would continue to sing and move upwards just enough so that he would miss. Throwing blades into its back as it passed beneath her.
