Testing the Limits

The FunBeemon watched as Talvi turned surprised, and aimed her talon at him. Unfortunately, she would be sorely disappointed as his stinger returned and he met her talon with his gear stinger, stabbing it as she gripped down on his butt that held it. He felt the talons dig but not as deep as it would thanks to his stinger stabbing her talon. The FunBeemon quickly released the stinger from his bottom and pulled away, the blood from the pricks staining the talons. As he pulled away, and his stinger came back, he fired three more in her direction, aimed at her wings to ground her indefinitely.

The swarm moved from the trees as instructed by their leader and fired a stinger all aimed at her wings. The original's hope that his pincer attack would prevail.

 Talvi hissed as her tail was stabbed the claw instinctively clenching to try and hide the wound. The bee pulled back and she snarled flying upwards to avoid its stingers. As she gazed down at it her eyes caught movement from below. Dozens more of the stingers ere coming right at her. She released two trong blades one right after another. One to deflect and the other to penetrate heir ranks. 

Her gaze went back to the original and she swooped in. She aimed to claw it again only this time she stopped short and strided sideways to get a good hit at its middle.

The FunBeemon scattered when the second wind blade fell on them, killing two more immediately. The original prepared to sting her talon again but was taken by surprise when she darted off to the side to scratch his side. He tried to pull away before she could hit him, but was too slow. The talons left a gouge in his side and the insect let out a pained cry before flying down into the swarm.

They gathered around him and charged Talvi, they unanimously fired off their stingers towards her. Increasing their strength, they still had every intention of grounding her so they could have the permanent advantage.

Swarm: 13

Talvi watched as they dug their grave by charging her. She charged them in return  spinning herself out of the way of the incoming stingers. Her body swerving mid flight to avoid those that followed her and released their stingers. She released her blades of energy as she fell past them. She arced and angled herself directly beneath them making a u-turn with them caught in the middle. She released more blades as she started going back up. Her body remaining constantly moving through it all. Parts of her body burning as they no doubt would follow her with their stingers leaving countless scratches. She would have to end this as quickly as possible.

As Talvi dived, she exchanged a few scratches for dealing a massive blow to the swarm. The FunBeemon cried as their bodies dissipate from her intense attacks. Soon, all that was left was the original. Her attack seemed to have grazed him, removing a wing. The FunBeemon lay on the ground helpless and preparing to call forth a new swarm.

Dantelion

Talvi would not let that happen. She dove in her wounded claws aimed to rend even as she released several more blades at her grounded foe. She had to end this now. She wouldn't survive a second swarm.

The blades met their mark, ending the fake life of the Funbeemon, terminating the simulation.

Talvi had won...she slumped to the ground as the simulation ended. She let herself devolve from harpymon and just sat there resting. She had to say both battles had been difficult and she had only won that last one out of sheer luck. She hadn't aimed for the original and yet hit it with sheer numbers of blades. She couldn't rely on luck every time she battled. She wasn't smart enough to do mathematical equations in a snap either. Since she's come to this world she has realized something. Everything was a lot harder than she had imagined it.

She rubbed her neck a bit and slowly got up. It would do no good to remain in here all day. She should go out and do something. She got up and started for the exit.

As Talvi was heading toward the exit, she'd realize someone standing at the observation deck. A woman equipped with sword, her long blond hair and busty chest her first noticeable features. She was alone and began to head Talvi's way once the wind Hybrid had finished.

"Two consecutive fights and one right after an other wise fatal defeat." She spoke with the click of her heels against the floor echoing against the metal of the room. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were clearly upset about something. As a woman, I tend to understand the signs." She walked over and her stern gaze turned into a smile.

"Pleasure to meet you, Talvi."

Talvi's glance went slightly up at the sign of movement. She had been being watched. She must have looked like fool out there flying around trying to best her foes. She would be lying if she said she didn't care about not keeping a professional air around those she does not know. The fact that someone saw her in a unprofessional manner somewhat bugged her.

She stopped standing straight as the woman approached. She wondered who her watcher might be. She was pretty and had a strong air about her like she was important. It all had to do with the way she held herself as she walked.

Especially when you don't like revealing your emotions.

"The pleasure is mine," Talvi responded with a faint nod of acknowledgement. "Life is a difficult road. Sometimes it does not hurt to let off a little steam."

The still to be introduced women chuckled, "Life is difficult indeed. More then anything it can be unpredictable and unforgiving. That doesn't mean one should throw themselves in a desperate attempt to get stronger in the heat of battle. You chose an opponent you knew nothing about, a fierce dragon whose strongest point is in the sky. As a young wind hybrid, if that was not a simulation, we'd be burying your body in the morgue...if it did not eat your remains." She said sounding far more morbid then she was intending.

"When life beats you down, you have to get up slowly and think. If you jump up to fight again, you'll only continue to fall." She tilted her head slightly and smiled.

"Do you want to talk about it? This room is sealed you know. The only camera is facing the simulation room for the observation deck. As a woman who has gone through her fair share of beat ups and falls, I may be able to help you."

Though that is why she picked the simulation rather than going out and picking a fight. In truth all the excitement had got her heart pumping, blood flowing and oxygenated her brain so she could think more. Even if it wasn't exactly clear. When she rested later that night and her brain slowed she should be able to process it all more effectively.

Many times when you get beaten down you just got to get up and kick life in the balls. Which is what she did. While not very scientific it does have its uses.

"It is always good to talk to others but I might need you name first if I am going to confide in you. Miss," Talvi responded leaving it open. She had a strong air but also a gentle one from the way she spoke. It seemed she had a soft spot for those with troubles.

She smiled and held out her hand in a friendly gesture, "I am Commander Ino Yamaki. Lightning hybrid and leader of this organization. Forgive my curiousness in watching you fight. Not many hybrids use the hub."

"So, now that I've introduced myself, how can I help Talvi?"
